It's time to get to the bottom of the bid (at least as much as people are allowed to tell).

So far we know:

Calgary is one of 11 bidders for 4 available positions.
They are looking to "refurbish" a non-McMahon site.
The venue would hold at least 10,000.
The surface would be grass (at least for the WYC).

What we need to know:

1) Who is behind the bid?
a) Is it the City itself?
b) Is there a bid committee?
c) Who is on the committee?

2) Where are they looking to build?
a) Is it Foothills?
b) Is it Burns?
c) Is it elsewhere? (Old Mewata site, Fire Park, Soccer Centre, etc.)

3) How serious is this bid?
a) Is Calgary pulling out all the stops to win this bid?
b) Is it just smoke to say that they were in the race?
c) Does this bid look to the future beyond the WYC? (Future venue for pro soccer in Calgary)

4) Is the venue to be soccer (and rugby) specific or is it supposed to please everyone all the time?

I'm going to be asking the big wigs these questions, but I'd love it if people could put any info here.

Cheers, all!
