My recommendation is too download and print a copy, read it cover to cover, and then use it.
Once you understand the "cadence" of the author, you'll see how relatively simple it is too follow.
It also allows you to use simple test equipment, a VOM and a test light, to troubleshoot your FI in a LOGICAL sequence... that will save you time and money on parts... and takes the GUESSWORK and frustration out of the job.
