In practice it is a lot easier than it sounds on paper

Really all you need to know is that when you post or edit, anything with an http:// is probably going to try to autoconvert to html code, so if you go to edit something and what you want to show as "one" link now shows code with more than one http:// in it, you are going to have a problem unless you somehow eliminate the second http:// . Read through my confusing convoluted tutorial one more go around and it will make more sense (hopefully!)

Really it's not that tough to work around once you have a clear idea of what is happening and why.
