The flare nuts on the X are M10x1.25 in the US, why they could be different elsewhere like the UK is a mystery to me.
It is possible Goodridge is silent on the topic of thread sized due to legal liability. I was told this is the same reason why ARP does not publish detailed specification on their parts. It is also possible Goodridge simply made the parts WRONG, but won't admit they did which would be very surprising.
I have the Earl's brake hoses on my X and they work fine.
As for the brake spring, I believe it is an anti-squeal device. Over they years, I have seen FIAT brakes with and without them. The spring does not appear to affect function much if left out.
