In your situation, I would just assume the clutch and brake master were both bad from sitting. Old brake fluid attracts moisture which pits cylinder bores that have to be mirror-smooth to work proerly.

Just do a hydraulic system overhaul and you'll eliminate a major safety and mobility kill weak point. Clutch and brake master, clutch slave and hose, all brake hoses to include the low pressure hoses that run from the reserviors to the masters. Should cost under $200 for all the parts.

If you decide to replace the calipers, add another $350.
