I replaced mine with some material long time ago, had to use a much larger piece, to make sure it fit the sides. started in the middle, with 3m spray adhesive, and a little contact cement along the edges to hold it until I put the weather stripping back on. At the time, my back window was in place, so I just trimmed and tucked, but you can just wrap around the edge. I don't think you really need the adhesive in the long run, just to hold it temporarily till you put the window gasket and weatherstripping in
