Ciggy lighter comes out without resorting to dismantling the dash?
Is it clipped in or fixed with something that screws... cant see a damn thing and my backs killing me lol

try taking off the wires on the back, and the metal sleeve (at the back) should screw off.

Disconnect the 2 plugs. (lamp, lighter)

From the back of the lighter housing, twist a 1/4 turn (the proper direction) and gently push forward rocking gently. It should move outward with the green sleeve intact to the console.

The green sleeve comes out last, but it's VERY fragile. It's held in with small plastic 'ears' molded into itself. You might want to leave it there unless you're replacing it.

Hope this helps. At the top is the light and then 2 wires for power. My X is in parts so easy to look at. I dont know how to remove it. I will when I get to recovering the dash.
