... this may be a temporary change, depending on how well (or not) the new system does.

If it works well enough with no major problems then we will decide whether to stay on it for good after giving it a few good runs around the track.

If some significant system issues arise then I would probably shift the DF traffic back over here to 1.0 while working to resolve any such issues.

But, I am getting A LOT (A LOT) of requests now that we have "one foot in each forum" to go ahead and "make the move"...

I am still not 100% confident the new system is ready to take the full "responsibility"(?) of "BEING XWEB" in its entirety, but, I can safely say it is so much closer today than it was even a short while ago, that I would feel confident "enough" to give the new DF (and the WF!) a good test run...

SO I'm going to lock this forum (the 1.0 DF) into "read only" mode such that no new posts can be added -for now- and we can all shuffle on over to the 2.0 DF & WF to see how it works out...

Thank you all so much for your patience during this transitional period. I really do appreciate you all bearing with me during this time of trial, error, experimentation etc.

#1: Even though you can still see "Reply" links in the 1.0 DF, the system really is in "read only" mode, don't bother clicking those reply links, it will just tell you to log in, and even if you do, you still can't post here...

#2: ANYONE who is having ANY KIND of problem accessing, logging in, viewing, using, posting etc on the Xweb 2.0 system, PLEASE PLEASE EMAIL ME!! Shoot me an email at seattlex19 -at- fastmail.fm ...I'd be happy to help you get going on the new site!

I'll come back here and add any new "helpful" notes regarding the transition if necessary as we go...
