there was a hotmail newsletter saying that you should check your email at least once a month so they won't think you don't use it at all and delete it. Hotmail has manymany users, that's why they did that. and the other thing was a hoax. hotmail never sends chain letters, and it'll always have that hotmail logo so you know. ^^
