How was everyone's holidays and whatnot?

If you can't tell one of the highlights of my break has been Lord of the Rings. Did you get to see it Venusian? I liked it but for a few minor things... except for Orlando Bloom most of the things as far as the elves went were done very poorly in my opinion. They changed things but it was to be expected. Bad casting for Elrond... My dad and I kept waiting for him to say something along the lines of,"Mr. Andersen... I'm going to enjoy killing you." Then there was Samwise whom my uncle thought would be cheered on by the other three hobbits with cheers of "Rudy! Rudy!!" My favorite was Pippin. His very characteristic foolishness outshined even Frodo and his many close brushes with death(thank goodness for Mithril). One part was understated when he accidently knocked a whole set of armor into a well(which awaked the Balrog, an ancient demon); in the book he purposely threw rocks down a well in boredom(and also woke up the Balrog... but it wasn't so much of an accident in that case). I hope in the next movie they do not leave out the Palantír(in which he makes another stupid mistake). The dragon firework was a nice touch(Merry had a hand in that one). I tend to lean towards the comic relief though. So if anyone has time and the ridiculous amount it costs to just buy tickets I highly suggest Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring!(moviefone.com has a preview but you need quicktime or realplayer)

Sorry... couldn't help myself... my very favorite books in the world. Oh.. I got clothes for X-Mas... yay...

I'll go read what everyone else has to say now.. uhh... yeah.
