Then again, Animerica, Smile (TokyoPop), are always on the look out for new mangas to publish in their magazines, maybe you could write them a letter to request that they purchase the rights to the manga (and you should also point out that they can make big bucks, etc. etc.

P.P.S. For those of you who don't know, Animerica and Smile (TokyoPop) are magazines which publish chapters of mangas (translated into english) kinda like Nakayoshi or Shounen Jump, but thinner. Uh, if that didn't make any sense, go and check out your newsagents and see if they carry these titles, or if you want, check them out by yourselves on the Net (I don't have the URLs).
