There are several means of lulling yourself to sleep, which I am sure you know about: avoiding caffeine and other stimulants, yoga, meditation, warm baths, milk, etc.
I was reading a natural remedy publication the other day and learned 2 new ideas: 1. to eat a 1/2 cup of walnuts before bed (a natural source of tryptophan, a chemical that makes one sleepy) and 2. to avoid exercising at night, which will charge you up.
