Hi guys! This is Odaiba.
I just wondering it would be worth it to add voices in a major patch..probably early fall time?

There has been some talk about it but I need to get a feel whethere is a big demand for it or not? Remember the voice patch would be huge file to download.

That'd be cool. An added bonus to the mod which'll make us want to play it through for like the 5th time =D

voice acting? yeah, why not? as long as it's done well, not like in ant agenda or even worse like in blood like venom...

BTW, 5th time? more like 50th :-)

Well, I will proabaly look into it and create a test. I have no idea what type of voice talent we can get from the internet.

That being said, any of you guys feel you have a voice for any of our charecters in redsun?

Hmmm. Didn't you ask for voice actors in the first place? Obviously you didn't get enough responses or was there a lack of talented guys and gals?
Anyway, I'd be interested in voice acting.

Additional to voices, I'd like to see one thing to be changed first:

If single lines are spoken or NPC's just give a comment line, please don't switch to cinematic mode but stay with the overheard mode with the blubble.

Voices would be a cool idea. If you're gonna be looking for beta testers I'd be interested in participating.

Voices would be nice, kind of feels like a cheap pirat version without the voices. :P Plus it add a bit more Deus Ex Feeling to it, also don't really like the whole painted door thing you should just lock doors with not key or something.

It's not that we didn't get people to do voices. That was easy, infact there's a group out there (SAVAGE I think their name is) who was offering to do it. The problem came in the fact that we kept changing dialogue on a daily basis. Would've hated to have had people redo lines just cause we changed a couple words :T

Plus by the time the dialogue was finalized, it was about a month before we released (god that was ugly if you ask me) and I had no clue how long it would've taken. I just really wanted it out and done :|

Son you're gonna have to run that by me again in english. I only have a faint clue as to what you mean :|

I'm talking about the doors that don't seeme to have a way of access, like the armory on lvl 1 of the first building. Yes i know about the vent shaft access to one of the shelfs. but still there a goodies there that would be nice ^^

that one shelf is not all you can access. bring a couple of lams or other grenades to get in and a chair to get back out.

it wasn't intended to be like that, but it works.

I would absolutely like to see voices added to this. I would be willing to beta test/help/whatever you'd need.

yes i did that when i first played the mod, i couldnt find any way to get inside the armoury, i felt so cool when i managed to climb up using lams gaining access to all the guns!!! :)
