Question about the sword

So first this was loads of fun. It had its anoying and hard sports and had to use ghost mode a few times but that aside, good.

My question is, What is the point of the sword that REDSUN drops? Can you get it earlier? It is better then the DragonTooth and less inventory room. I have never seen it in Deus Ex before. Did you make it?
