Delhi is definately in the division with George, Burford, Hags, and Dover.
Wellesley is with Thamesford, Tavi, and Ayr.
Any truth to the rumour Ayr has pulled the plug on their team? I heard from some of their players they were told to start looking for a new place to play. It could be because some of them are not very good and they do not want them back, but they were given the impression the team was done.
What are the thoughts on the new league format? How do playoffs work?
Div.A,B,C - top 4 teams; 5th place team is then eliminated.
1 vs.4
2 vs.3
Series winners move on to play eachother to win division.
3 remaining teams play a round robin, i think home and home...then top 2 play 7 game series....
Just like the Sutherland Cup but alot better hockey, right?
That would sound like the logical decision. The teams in the Bauer division are going to miss the 2 points all season long if Ayr is coming back. It will be interesting to see how this all works out. Looking forward to the changes.
This is from the OHA website today...
Yeck Conference
Lambeth
Mt. Brydges

Ya apparently, Ayr won't play unless they are guaranteed a playoff spot. Figuring they will be at the bottom again, shouldn't bother most teams in the yeck, but i think that might be a problem for the two other divisions that might not be able to cross-over for the playoffs
I believe Ayr will have a team this year as they were too late in submitting their request to drop out and apparently it would cost money to leave and they would lose certain privileges.
I also believe that if Ayr does not have as many points as the other division's bottom teams, then the team with the higher number of points will replace Ayr in that division's playoffs.
I think that this league is also on its last legs. I have heard rumblings about the OHA going to a three tiered operation with a Premier League (basically Jr. A and some B teams, First Division (Mainly B teams with some C, and a Second Division (mainly C teams with some D). This will cause the OHA to lose some teams, but they probably could not care less about the lower class teams, so whatever decision they make, it is with the top level in mind.
Yea that's the way it was supposed to be (playoffs), but I've heard from a reliable source saying Ayr, because of the travelling they have to do and i'm sure other reasons, gets a guaranteed playoff spot.
Well yeah, that is pretty much confirmed. Apparently the way it's going to work is that no team from two of the divisions can cross over into the centre division for playoffs. They're cry is that since they have to do most of the travelling by playing both other divisions, that they should be guaranteed a playoff spot. Hopefully Ayr can maybe get more than 10 points this season and not finish at the bottom of the barrel so that this crossover thing is all for none.
If the division with Ayr, Tavi, Wellesly, and Thamesford in it all make playoffs, then that would have been voted on I assume. Why would any team vote to allow that? For a team like Dover, this eliminated another option where they could have made the playoffs. Maybe they voted against it. They would be foolish to vote for it.
Whaatsup with this site, everyone afraid to make predictions and slam some teams, where's BERVA when you need him (maybe still doin the ditch pig from Burford along the side of 59 hwy.) Yes we all know her well. Let's get this site going, teams are almost picked, except for Delhi who picked'm last year.
Any truth to the Travs tampering again this year????????Must be nice to have $$$$$ and get out of it every year. Toss it or "Pitch" it in the air Delhi will F%$% up again. Let's get this thing rockin. AS ALWAYS WHAATUP
I like your style..
but think of it bud, even with the re-alignment, i mean, finally, we can have a real finals....Yeck vs. Yeck. But like it's good that the mcconnell side has a trophy too...so there's something to celebrate, i guess.
