I'm not bailing on Delhi. Sure I would have liked to see them win. I just figured I would accept defeat and congratulate the winning team and Conference. I am in no way affiliated with the travellers, just the McConnell division. As for you maybe a little growing up wouldn't hurt, if your on NMS, congatulations on your win, if you're not, shut the fuck up and let the boys who did play savour the glory. Well Boys, not impressed with all the trash talk I read on here for the past few months. Congrats to North Middlesex, job well done, you were the better team. Congrats to Delhi, went out with class, no running at people, good to see the code is still respected, most of the time. NMS simply wore Delhi down, 9 games in 3 weeks, alot of banging out there saw every game, most were good to watch, except for the play the injured player role that teams now use to draw 5 min and a couple of games, gotta stop, hurting the integrity of the sport. If a player recieves 5, the injured player should not be allowed to return that game, it will take out alot of the fake stuff, if the guy is really hurt that bad he wont play anyway.
I just love watching the smalltown hockey, with the fans the noise and the hometown pride! All Jr D teams should be raising hell at the OHA for even contemplating getting rid of Jr D, the league has been around forever, it is an opportunity for young men to play hockey at a good level, and the towns to reap the pride of it all!
Players on both teams will have good memories of this series, some better than others, but that is hockey, boys I hope all of you think about coaching in the furture at any level, dont forget to give some time back to kids, like the coaches and executive did for you, pass that tourch on, be proud of your efforts, both teams went to 7 games, that is just a fact!
