*The cat's action surprized her...she could tell this was no "pet". How she knew she wasn't sure, but she knew this cat did not belong to anyone...Even if she did have on a silver collar (though the collar looked more like a bangle braclet). She bent down slowly, not wanting to startle the cat and started to scratch behind the ears,* Is this what you wanted, Little One? I can't stay out here long...I've got to get dinner started.... You're welcome to stay for a bit if you'd like, though. *She scratched the cat for a few more seconds before standing up again,* There you go...*She turned and walked back to the house, picking up the broom form the porch and taking it inside with her.*
