I have a round watch my uncle purchased in Europe in the 1940's. It is 18k gold with an 18k band and clasp. It has a plain gold face, gold arms and approx. 1/8" lines for each 5 min interval. No other markings appear on the face. It is approx. 1/2" thick outside edge of back to outside edge of crystal and approx. 1 1/16" wide, edge of crystal to edge of crystal.
It has a shield on the inside back cover with a head inside the shield looking up at a half moon. It is stamped 18k and 0,750 in one box, the numbers 136 in another box, and a third box with 3/10 under it. It has the numbers " 8 16003 " under the karat box.
The movement appears to a brass colored metal plated with a silver colored metal. It has a gold split balance wheel and the other wheels are gold. The escape is steel. It appears to be at least 17j. The plate has the names "Lucerne" and "ahrens" stamped on it with the numbers "1128" in a box in the upper left side.
I have no idea who manufactured it or when it was made. I have looked endlessly and been unable to identify it. Can anyone help or recommend someone to help.
