Response to An most importantly

because nobody actually 'owns' one of these books; they are just temporary guardians for the next generation...

Or only fully paid-up, card-carrying, pure-hearted PuristS will be allowed to apply for the onerous 'responsibility' of guarding one for the next generation

Standard Operating Procedure to Detect PuristS (TOP = Test of Purity):

1. Do they know the oldest, family-founded and still family-owned horological company? No, it's not SWATCH

2a. Do they understand the differences between cost, price and value?
2b. Do they care?

3. Do they appreciate the imperfection of pefection?

4. Do they talk incessantly and excessively about case size or changing from standard OEM strap materials and colours or both? The correct answer is NO.

5. Do they strive for perfection in an imperfect world, even away from horology?
