i brought this point up..

..a long time ago. if i remember correctly, even lange und sohne's advertising pieces intimated that their manufacture had halted during a "bad" period. in my deepest opinion, the "pride" attributed to the wwII italian navy can only be appreciated by those with a longing affinity for the heinously violent fascism of that darkest chapter of the 20th century. (that said, i bet that this link will be locked soon. understandably so, as we're departing from all the hugs n kisses we're expected from, here. :0) then again, perhaps that whole marketing tag line from panerai shouldn't be brought up, either.)
