If I remember correctly, there will be a black or red indicator

that you'll see. So if it's 9 minutes, the last dash on the very right will be marked. If 12 mintes elapses, then u'll see "1" change to either red or black (I forgot which) and the 2nd dash change too.

I think this how it works but not 100% sure.
