AP ROO CHRONOJuly 23 2009 at 5:38 PM
Hi, I am interested in AP and looking for my first AP ROO CHRONO. Before I jump into it, can anyone help me here.
I like to know what serial and year that AP changed to use in-house movement? Any point where can I distinguish without open the case back?

easy enough - check the papers.

The warranty certificate will indicate "calibre 3126/xxxx"
The 3126 is the in house movement base.
If the case number is pre-F series, it can't be using this movement and thus the entire watch would then be suspect.
Also make sure the papers match the watch.
Otherwise, there is no other easy way to know without opening the watch, which is not easy given the case design.
Good luck hunting.
Which model is catching your eye?
