Ok I'm getting ready to purchase my first AP and have now seen so many models that I am confused which one to pull the trigger on and need some help!!
The main models that strike me the most are the AP rubber clad rose gold, the SS version and the Volcano!
I'm not sure if I should purchase the Rose Gold Rubber clad or instead of buying one watch purchase two AP's and go for the SS Rubber clad and the Volcano?
Thoughts from anyone that own the above will be great! The volcano has only just come into my radar, I didnt like the look of it in the pictures but when I tried it on yesterday I thought it looked stunning!
The "grey dial + brushed gold" combo is simply stunning! ...... and it is heavy! For me, the weight matters although it may not be ideal for daily wear.
That IS a great picture! Malone, I wouldn't suggest both...

as they are possibly too similar unless your budget and "collection" plans allow for significant overlap. (I know of many who do - Great!)
The Volcano is definitely a love it or hate it piece; personally, I love orange and the Volcano is a very interesting piece for me, one I wear regularly. But I know for many others the Orange is very strong, and with the bezel ring (tachymetre markings) in orange as well, just a little "too much."
You need to decide if you really like it, or are just smitten by the uniqueness of it, which might wear off in a month or 6.
I know more than a few people for whom it is a keeper, but even more who fell out of love with it and turned around and traded or sold it for something else.
Only you can know which camp you fall into.

Thanks for the advice, I was lucky enough to try them both on yesterday and managed to get a few snaps! However I am still struggling on which one to purchase and couldnt make a choice! I really like the Volcano but it's a good point Thomas it may be possible that this may wear off over time! The dial looks so vibrant and cool, I also tried on a SS Black rubber clad it was used and pretty beat up but it was good to see all three together!
better than the commercial orange, imo. Tones down the watch a bit.
Tough choice you have there. The RG looks great, but my only concern is the shine the rubber bezel forms after a few years of ownership. (not all, but common).
If price is not an issue, go with the pink gold, but if it is maybe you can consider a more subtle production piece such as the new Ti version, or black themes.
I finally made a choice and today I purchased the rose gold rubber clad!! probably mainly down to WF with his awesome picture I just kept coming back to this pic!! it's a stunning watch and I just wanted to say thx for the advice helped a lot
