I need peoples opinion on which watch to purchase. I have an eclectic collection and I do not have any of the above Manufactures. What would you buy if you had the choice of the following?:

1.) AP ROO Bumblebee

2.) A Lange & Sohne Lange 1 (Do you prefer WG with grey dial or Platinum with silver dial?)

3.) Urwerk 103.09 (Do you prefer WG, RG, or TIAN?)


I plan to use the watch as a watch that I will wear sometimes (maybe one week/month)

Hands down, it is one of my favorites. Although looking at your list they are all VERY different. The Bumblebee is a daly wearer and very sporty and the Lange is by now a classic. Like them both to yet the problem with the Bunblebee is that the colors of the hands and numerals don't match (that looks cheap to me) and the Lange I would choose would instead be the ZEITWERK.

If you choose the 103.09 you will get a very different watch than is not only very special but very reliable. I have had mine for almost 3 years and I still have had no chance to play with the regulation in the back. It still runs at +1 seconds per day. However, because it is so special people either LOVE it or HATE it. There is no indifference towards this watch. As to the metals all three are a good option. The white gold is not rhodium plated which makes it much more practical since it can be polished slightly without send back to the factory and it is more discreet. The rose gold looks superb and works better as a dress watch but it will get much more attention. The TiAln is lighter and its satin finish is superb,plus it wont scratch easily. I would say that the 103.09 in this case is; Casual in white gold, Dressy in Rose gold and Sporty in TiALn. Which ever you like best should be your choice.

As to the "plan" to only wear it once a month, that I find silly. Why would you spend so much on such a beautiful watch to wear so little? Anyway, I am certain that although this is your intention, it will be very difficult for you NOT to wear any of the above. Trust me, it would be torture.

In any case, the right choice would be the most irrational one. The one that pleases you most is never the one that one should buy. Every time I have tried to rationalize an irrational purchase I have gone terribly wrong by choosing the wrong watch.

I really like the unique shape and overall design of this brand/model. I will go for the Ti or WG, but that is just my taste IMHO.
