Quincy Jones and Francois-Henry Bennahmias joined ThePuristS in an private interview to talk about the philanthropy work of his foundation and his partnership with Audemars Piguet in this video:
Thanks Salman. They both have such dynamic personalities and it was a pleasure speaking with them. I enjoyed the interview and it gave us a good perspective about the Quincy Jones Foundation and the contributions with AP.
More pics and videos coming up
Thanks Anthony and DRMW. The live performance by Alfredo Rodriguez was amazing to hear in person. The lounge area was dark but I think the video of him at the piano was clear enough. Hope everyone enjoys the videos.

What are your thoughts on the two Millenary pieces?
January 31 2010, 7:46 PM
Thanks TM and AviB.
What are your thoughts on the Millenary Quincy Jones LE and the ladies Millenary perpetual zodiac? I'm glad that AP is still expanding this case design. I hope that they eventually will come out with a more affordable forged carbon version. Starwheel anyone?
A special evening with Mr. Quincy Jones and Audemars Piguet: PART 5 - New Ladies Millenary
January 30 2010, 10:02 PM
The spotlight at this event was the Millenary design. Besides the Quincy Jones LE a new ladies Millenary complication was shown. I'm a huge fan of the Royal Oak, but IMO it's great that AP continues to expand it's other lines including the Millenary.
This is one of three existing pieces: Rose gold diamond set case, perpetual calendar with moon phase, leap year indicator and a unique zodiac complication along the edge of the dial:
In typical AP fashion, exquisite details are found on the Millenary including diamonds surrounding the transparent caseback:
The elegant black satin strap is balanced with a rose gold deployant clasp and buckle layered with 28 diamonds:
Looks beautiful on the wrist:
And finally a video of the new ladies "zodiac" that captures the sparkle and brillance of the diamond Millenary case:
