Truth is, I am somewhat cynical about items like this one done by a commercial firm. It's not just VC that gets under my skin in this way, it includes PP with their 'Cal. 89' and to an extent BP with their '1735'. I think they do nothing to advance the art of watchmaking, especially when the watch is so oversized, (47mm dia. by 18mm thick??).
It reminds me somewhat of the 'world's longest limo', or 'the world's largest pizza'. At the end of the day, does the world really have something more or better than it had before? I think not.
End of rant. I guess that's why my first post was in the form of just a short satirical comment. >;^)
