Would anyone know which movement (JLC#?) that the Malte or Overseas Dual Time is based on?

Vacheron Constantin caliber 1206 RDT.
Ebauche is Frédéric Piguet 1160,
a version of FP 1150.
Same basic movement in some other complicated VC's,
the perpetual etc.
Lovely momevent when Vacheron has made it's work

but it perhaps is because I like this so much
I believe it's a version of this movement.

It's the same movement as in Malte Eagle DTR,
so it's anyhow VC caliber 1222.

I am always curious about these things. My new Malte Dual Time does not have a display back as that of the VC Power Reserve model that I have.

it hit me, that you have that movement in your lovely watch
I didn't know that you couldn't see the movement,
anyhow, it's rather meaningless,
when it's an automatic watch.
Have a look at my only(!) pic of the movement,
inside my DTR!



It's most the rotor anyway,
so you actually don't miss so much!

If you want to enjoy a VC movement,
go for a pocket watch instead

I did not realize that the DTR like yours and the Tonneau DT had the same base movements. I sort of though mine might be JLC based because it has the same sort of winding sound as my Power Reserve model and I think it is based on the JLC 928 movement.

the only thinhg I now ,
know for sure is,
Overseas and Eale DTR has the same movement,
VC cal. 1222, that I have checked.
On the other hand mine is a COSC certified chronometer,
so it could indeed be different ebauchés!

I believe the Overseas and Royal Eagle dual-time models use the same JLC-based movements. The time-only Overseas also uses a JLC ebauche but the Overseas chronograph uses an F. Piguet ebauche. Hope this helps.

I have looked a little more into it and it is possible that the 1222 calibre is based on the JLC 929/3. If anyone knows for sure, I would appreciate the information.
