This event has been discussed before here at

and here are the exciting details.

(Food, glorious food!)

(Unbelievably friendly and casual atmosphere)

Thanks to the generosity and strong support by GP and BMI Singapore. Around 20 fellow PuristS were invited to the February 8th GP Tea party at Sam's residence.

(Ready for the exclusive Preview to SIHH 2004 products!)

Guests, initially provided with few details were greeted by this teaser on GP forum here

just one day before the event - in order to incite curiosity.

(Dr. Nicholas Goh & Tay Kok Choon)

I am particular happy with the strong turnout of our fellow PuristS. One particular touching episode was that, a good friend, caught with an unexpected emergency, was kind enough to make his effort to attend the session for around 15 minutes to tell us about his situation. This special gesture is really appreciated.

From the EXCLUSIVE and exciting SIHH 2004 product presentation, I wish to summarise the point (photos for 2 days sneak only):

(Samuel Benjamin & Dr. Bernard Cheong)

(From Left, Suven Young, Marie Beng & Susan Lui)

Two stunning Ferrari related models, one of which is a haute horlogerie secret piece which will be launched in Shanghai on 9th. March 2004! Watch this space as we gradually unveil these 2 and other SIHH models! in full glory.

(Thank you, Girard Perregaux & BMI, your generosity, effort and support deeply appreciated)

Overall, my conclusion is that the GP overall range of models will be refreshed and extended with an intended push into the ladies Mechanical market.

(Dr. Tan Sai Tiang & Dolly Ong)

While there is no revolutionary breakthrough in terms of technical innovation in haute horlogerie.I am really glad that one of my favourite GP complicated implementation will be brought back this year, in an unbelievably BEAUTIFUL dial with a "to die for" sapphire caseback view! In my personal opinion, this will be a good refreshing consolidation year for Girard Perregaux.

(The Last Photo, Both are said to be beautiful
although I prefer to look left on a more serious note, thanks to Cheryl Wee & Dominic Khoo of BMI! Great work!)

GP is investing some serious money and manpower in the haute horlogerie manufacturing and we should expect GP to do so in the next few years:

- launch more inhouse calibre
- Uses only inhouse movements
- Stop outside supply of GP movements once contractual obligations are fulfilled.
- Many interesting future inhouse complication implementation and innovation.

I will post more photos eventually...meanwhile, cheers!
