G'day,
a little over one year ago the question raised what is the perfect case size:
A quick poll - preferred watch sizes?
.
Last yes, it seemed to depend on the style (sports watch/dress watch) and quite some go well with a relatively large case of +40mm.
In addition, the trend towards "oversized" watches seems not to be gone; currently there´s quite some variety of larger pieces, but a relatively small number of watches between 32 and 36mm size.
While preparing some pictures for an upcoming article, i rembered the old poll above.
I´d like to kick this off with a picture of a watch measuring 42mm

too large?
and add another example; here´s a beautiful GP staff member of La Chaux-De-Fonds with the 43mm-sized WW.TC:
So i´d like to the past questions ask again, from today´s perspective:
- Is there still a trend towards larger case sizes? Are big watches tday a fashion trend or a new standard?
- What is the "perfect" case size?
- Which size(s) do you prefer as a daily wearer, chronograph or dress watch (not necessarily a GP model)?
- Is there a GP model you would like to see in a larger size? Or a smaller size?
In order to widen the variety, some rough shots of other pieces:
30mm (40´s bumper automatic)
27x27mm, diagonal length is 36mm (40´s)
I´m looking forward to read your appreciated comments!
Greetings from germany,
Peter
