G'day,
i´m very proud and happy to be the first to bring you the next
big suprise by Girard-Perregaux and a very welcome addition to the
Sport Classique range:
The Sports Chronograph
The picture probably says much and i have a couple more to share, so in short some vital stats first:
| Model line: | Sports Classique |
| Size: | 42mm |
| Case: | steel |
| Bracelet: | steel with Helium escape valve |
| Dial: | carbon with "embedded" numerals |
| Movement: | GP´s own chronograph movement |
| Functions: | - hour, minute, second
- chronograph with 60-minutes and 12-hours counter
- day/night indicator at 3
- pointer date at 6 |
| Crowns: | 2 (two)! |
| Inner bezel: | rotatable by crown at 4 |
That´s a BIG piece and it´s a fantastic watch in nature; it´s large, but VERY comfortable to wear as it shares the same slightly curved case of the Sea Hawk II:

The inner rotating bezel adds a lot and just have look at the elaborate case back with screws! Not to speak of GP´s movement, which is of course a pleasure to see!
So if you´re into larger sports watches, you MUST have a look at it! No way around!
It just looks right from literally every angle; the smooth and polished bezel, the case finish, the stunning dial:
They really got this one right; a perfect addition to the Sports Classique line and GP´s models in general.
More informations to come soon. From what i know so far, it will be available world wide and within this year; nonetheless, with the SIHH show just ended yesterday, availability and approx. delivery dates will have to be checked.
Just one final comment:
If you like the Sea Hawk, you will LOVE this one!
More pictures in a follow-up!
Greetings from germany,
Peter
