G'day,

some few travel impressions by a factory tour organized by "UhrenMagazin", the german-based leading watch magazine in September 2005.

The round trip visit included Audemars Piguet, APRP (Renaud&Papi), Jaeger-LeCoultre, Chopard and Girard-Perregaux. This great tour was accompanied by the highly experienced watch enthusiast and industry insider Thomas H. Ernst and watch journalist Thomas Wanka, which guarantee no interesting view was to be missed!

While the full set of pictures, which gives an interesting insight into production capacities and the work actually done at each of the brands, is accessible on a private website only, here is a couple of pictures, courtesy of Thomas H. Ernst:

As you see, interesting views and - well worth a travel!

Greetings from germany,

Peter
