I have been reading about the Roaring Forties Rolling Chassis package. The price is very affortable. According to the website the rolling chassis package is around $16,500 - $17,000. With shipping and here and there, i figure $20,000 to $21,000.
From that package, what else do i need to complete the car?
This is what i will need.
1. engine
2. tranaxial
3. paint
4. tires and wheels
This is what i might need.
1. gauges
2. wire harnness
3. seats
4. safety belt
I am not too sure about.
1. carpet
2. lightings
What do you think, do u have any input? Any comments will be greatly appreciated...

I really hate to rain on the parade here ... but there isn't even a small chance a rolling chassis will end up this inexpensive. An if you can really get one for this price ... God Bless you and yours!
I'm sure Ron will respond, but he and I discussed the GT40 thing over more than one beer on a Saturday night in late may. During that conversation we discussed costs and came to the conclusion that he and I would reach a similar goal through very different paths at a cost in the mid-fifties for the completed cars.
Last I heard the complete chassis kit with all of the parts in one place from RF was in the mid $30s. Discuss this with the RF folks after talking to Ron. I suspect you've made some very significant assumption from their price list that simply doesn't work.
Hope you've found magic, but doubt it seriously.

I don't know what RF is charging for a basic rolling chassis package. Keep in mind, a rolling chassis in Australia is quite a bit different from what we think of in the US as a rolling chassis.
RF can make any package you'd like and they have very high quality components. I think that you can get the chassis, main suspension bits, mounts, and body for under $20k US. The rest you could do yourself here in the US if you are so inclined.
I'd give Brett Domokur (listed on my site) a call or Robert Logan directly at RF.
I choose RF due to the quality and completeness of the replica package. I do not have a lot of time to chase down parts or fabricate simple things such as brackets etc, so for me it was advantageous to purchase a complete replica kit at one time. That way, every piece I need (sans engine and transmission) is available for assembly.
Bob (GT40 Dallas) also went the same route I did and is a wonderful resource.
But your route sounds attractive if you've got the time. Incidentally, RF does not supply interior carpeting materials - this is generally much better to have done with a good local person and I agree.

No matter what road you take, to build the car properly you will end up at the same price as if ordering the complete package. All you are doing is deferring payment to when you will need the parts. You may save a couple of bucks sourcing some parts locally, but for the most part it will be the same. If you are handy and can source most parts locally yourself, then your best is probably the GT40 Reproductions from New Zealand. They sell you everything you can't get locally, and then it is up to you to find the rest of the parts. I believe they offer to help in that area as well.
