Hi,
I am new to the forum. I hawk the Cobra Forum regularly and picked up a link to this site. EXCELLENT!. I have an FFR that has been on the road since July of 98. I wanted to know if any of you had purchased the RF GT 40 build manual. I bought the FFR build manual about a year before getting the car and I had most of it in memory when the car arrived. Oh yea, buying the build book weighed very heavy on choosing which kit to buy.
Ron Earp, I was at SAAC and drove from SAAC home, Wilkesboro, in that damp weather. No top. I went with another guy, also has a Cobra, he got pretty wet as well.
Thanks
Buzz

I spoke to the owner of RF GT40's yesterday and asked about the manual. He stated that the manual is coming along nicely and that it is being final proof read before printing. Robert Logan did say that if we think the work on his cars are nice wait until you see the manual. It is Fantastic!. So with a statement like that I can hardly wait. It should be finished and ready for customers by August.

After talking to Robert Logan I sorry to say that an assembly manual will not be available to the general public. If you buy a kit or a turnkey car you will recieve a manual. This is do to the fact alot of propiatary information is included in the manual.

I personally don't think it is a good decision to not offer a potential customer this manual. Put a copy right on it and all the designs and what ever. I want to build this car one day and would like to know up front if I can complete in a reasonable amout of time.
Thanks

I have to agree with Buzz on this one. Purchasing manuals should be an option and is very useful for potential buyers. I have a ERA manual and a GTD manual - very useful for looking at the car construction and it is was a project worth taking. Also have some scraps of I think a KVA sequence, but I'm not sure.
Every manufactuer has to make their decision though. If it were my choice I'd provide it at a price to prospective buyers with the option not to provide it if I suspect funny business. However, that is just my opinion.

If manuals are not given to the general public then the next best thing would be to offer the construction video. the one I received would give someone a very good idea of what is involved.
