Hi Ronald and everybody--
Is there room in your survey for us poor, broke ASPP types? It's a fair approximation of a GT40 body, but the guts are only Fiero--not a tube-frame V8 like you big guys.

David, Welcome. If you likem' that's good enough.
I also have an 86 Fiero GT that I have been thinking about converting for a daily driver. I really like the Fiero. It's too bad GM didn't. Killing that car was a big mistake in my book. I believe it was indirectly killed off because The corvette club was upset about the Proposed Turbo six that could blow the doors off any stock vette. They thought it was a bad deal because the vette was $20,000 more and the fiero was really cheap. GM didn't want to lose the title ,America's only true sports car.

Interesting enough I also had a Fiero, a 84 model with the 4 speed manual and no power accessories. Not a good performer stock, but, once the head was pulled and re-worked, intake ported, and the exhaust replaced it do better than the 6 cylinder model.
Alas, the stock throttle body fuel system was maxed out at high RPM and the resulting lean condition caused its' demise.
Surprisingly, both the four and six seem to be highly resistant to serious modification. But, eight swaps are abundant and this is what I'd do if I were you Hershal.
