With so much discension, how could a major call be operating? With the passing of our dear Pastor, we saw an almost instantaneous drop in attendance of public lectures on the truth from thousand attending and hundreds turned away, to almost zero interest... and that all over the world. Now the servants "strive" as to what is true or not... not a happy commentary.
I also find interesting Bro R's comments that first a time of trouble would fall upon the LF, beginning in 1874... as a refiners fire purging characters... this is the same work specified in another type in Lev. 12... a cleansing. 1 Cor 3: 15-17 tells of this work also and difference between gold and silver and precious stones and wood, hay and stubble. Malachi also comes to mind with the purification of the sons of Levi as silver... which is lesser than gold.
then a "physical time of trouble" on the world. Certainly the trouble that began in 1914 was trouble on the world and not on the church. It was very physical indeed, with millions being effected by misery and death in the first year of that period. The most recent pang here being the WTC disaster which shook the foundation of the very earth... very physical.
This trouble we were also told, that would follow the trouble on the church, would rock the foundations of Christendom... seen any trouble in the Catholic church lately?... 60% or more of her priests are gay by their own admission... How about amongst other denominations... many of which have put homosexuals in the pulpit, and many others are considering it. The Sodom and Gomorrahizing of Christendom is a great sign to the eyes of those who are watching. Are we? Was this all to transpire while the church was in developing?... or was this part of what is said might deceive the very elect?
