Remember, it would have been tricky to get the family to accept her as Sebs wife the way Gaviota was back then (uneducated chapolera, a diamond in the rough)...
I think it would have taken some time for them to get to know her and accept the fact that she was the woman he had picked... since they were used to other kinds of women as wives of the Vallejo young men...
Would it have been an uncomplicated cinderella story after all?? Would they have even made it?? considering their maturity level at the time to deal with the complexities and conflicts that they needed to face?
