i saw it here in canada a couple of years ago and loved it...it's about italian immigrants arriving in brazil at the turn of the century to work on the coiffee plantations....
it played here on the cfmt "multicultural" station, and was the original version, all in portugese.... so, i didn't get much of the dialogue, but the foro was alot of fun, and peopleposted summaries and dialogues along the way!!!....

i don't know anything about the other 2 novelas you mentioned, dana...i'm also watching "amantes de luna llena" (venezuelen), and "betty la fea" (colombian) right now...both are excellent!!!...
