Hey Gladys, I got to catch up with some of the late episodes of this novela

in late night Univision recently but could not watch the last five or six hours of it or so. Barbarita had just been found innocent of a crime she had spent years in jail for... MAntonio Adolfo and Alejandra were married and she had brainwashed the boy against his own mother... Antonio Adolfo was feeling very guilty for having accused Barbarita falsely so many years and for contributing to having her locked in jail for so many years... Alejandra was undergoing surgery to fix her problem not being able to walk. Antonio Adolfo was waiting for Alejandra to be able to walk to be able to divorce her and marry Barbarita. I believe when Alejandra got out of the surgery she faked being still unable to walk because she had been forwarned that he was planning on leaving her to marry Barbarita.
So my questions are...
What exactly was Barbarita in jail for? For killing her husband?? I guess when he showed up alive, that is when she was declared innocent...
Are Alejandra and Barbarita really sisters?
How did Barbarita's real mother come into the picture?
And what happened after that? How did Alejandra get discovered and how did it end? What happened to Ricarda?? To Valentino??
I am curious since I got to watch about 10 episodes here ...
