Ivan prohibits Carolina from entering the hacienda and insists in undermining the CasaBlanca coffee when they are meeting with the potential buyers attending the conference/tour. Salinas disagrees and says neither he nor the guests would go to the hacienda if Gaviota is not going. Ivan insists even though Carolina says she does not need his approval and she already has permission. Salinas says in case she cannot go, the visit to the hacienda would be cancelled or Ivan would have to leave the group. Ivan leaves mad. Gaviota is mad and ready to follow Ivan to kill him but Salinas stops her....
Sal: ... Usted para donde va??
Gav: Yo voy a matar a ese Señor! Es que se lo juro por Dios!!
Sal: (laughs) Usted no va a matar a nadie! Ademas, imaginese el desprestigio para la Asociacion! Que salimos con siete invitados y regresamos con seis!! (LOL!) Porque la Asistente del Departamento de Relaciones Publicas decidio liquidar a uno en el camino!...
(Sebastian is staying up to call Gaviota at midnight. But when Gaviota and Salinas are heading to their rooms, she hears noises. SHe gets scared. MEanwhile Salinas is in his room mad at himself for not having found a way to stay with her another 25 minutes until midnight so he could be the first to congratulate her on her birthday... Salinas decides to go back to Gaviota's room to congratulate her, but can't find the courage to knock on the door... He gets back in his room, next door to Gaviota, shuts the door hard. Gaviota hears the noise and gets scared again, she comes out and asks guard if he saw anyone around there, he says no. Salinas comes out and asks her what is going on. She asks him if they can switch rooms.
Later on Sebastian calls Gaviota's room number as they are switching rooms and Salinas answers the phone. Gav is around, and she grabs the phone a little too late. Seb is already irate on the other end...
G: Sebastian!...
S: Como que no esta ahi??!! (??)
G: Ay, vea! Usted no vaya a pensar que yo... (already previewing what is coming on phone...)
S: No, no no!! Como voy a pensar algo malo?? Son las 12 de la noche y EL esta en tu habitacion!! Como podria malinterpretar las cosas??!! (very mad)
G: Ay no, Sebastian! Dejeme que yo le explique solo un momentico!!
S: No, no no! Es que no hay nada que explicar!! Yo solo llamaba para desearte un feliz cumpleaños pero por lo visto sobra deseartelo!! Tu ya la estas pasando muy bien!! (hangs up on her)
Arthur: QUe pasa, Sebastian?
S: Salinas, Arthur!! Salinas esta en la habitacion de ella!!
Ar: Pero debe haber alguna explicacion!! No crees que Gaviota...
S: Ay, Arthur! Por favor!! Cual explicacion??!
(meanwhile at Gaviota's hotel room...)
Sal: Tendra que escuchar las explicaciones. Esto no puede quedar asi!
G: No, Doctor! Usted no lo conoce a EL! Bueno, yo no tengo porque darle explicaciones tampoco.
Sal: No nos engañemos, Gaviota... Esto es supremamente grave para Usted y para mi. Imaginese lo que va a pasar mañana! Ivan Vallejo provocando!! Sebastian furioso con Usted y yo!! Que vamos a hacer con los invitados?? Que va a pasar con los invitados?? AH??
G: Bueno, es que yo ya no tengo ni cabeza para pensar. Estoy tan cansada, Doctor! Sera mejor entonces conversar mañana. Asi a lo mejor se nos ocurre algo!
Sal: Si, Gaviota. Vayase a descansar. Va a ser dificil pero trate de dormir.
G: Si, Doctor. Usted tambien. Que pase buena noche.
Sal: Gracias... (and on his way to door turns around) Gaviota... Feliz Cumpleaños...
G: Gracias...
