However, after they leave, Cecilia warns Marcela that she won't keep defending Gaviota against her daughters in law anymore. Says Gaviota is turning this into a quarrel against her family and she is tired of all this anguish... NExt time she will have to side with the V wives.
Cec: Si, Marcela!! Gaviota esta abusando!! Y haga lo que haga, ella no puede pretender que su problema se convierta en mi problema, porque es unicamente de ella!!... Esto va a fraccionar a mi familia!... y es lo ultimo que quiero que pase!!... No puedo seguir apoyandola!! Si ella no sabe manejar estas relaciones de la familia... si no a punta de expulsiones, pues entonces no me va a volver a comprar a mi con invitaciones mandadas unicamente a mi nombre! Tiene que incluirlas en el proximo Congreso Cafetero! Si no lo hace, entonces la imagen que tengo de ella va a quedar por el suelo! Avellaneda gives Mauricio the bad news that the representative at OIC (International Organization of Coffee, the worldwide regulator of Coffee markets) and that the americans are pushing to end the coffee treaty that is keeping the coffee prices at a competitive level and stable. This means that Avellaneda will have to cancel his trips to the Orient to go to the OIC himself, and Salinas has to take his place at Japan and his other scheduled trips. He also wants Gaviota to confront the differences with the Vallejo family once and for all.
Miguel is very charming with Paula in front of Arthur, Arthur tells Paula he is glad it seems things are working out. Paula says appearances can trick you. HE asks if she still thinks Miguel has a lover, she says just wait until we get the next phone bill, maybe I could even give you her name.
Lucrecia tells Ivan about Lucia's behavior the other night when they went to the bar and met the two guys... I gets irrate.. what were you thinking!!? / That Lucia is changing. / Maybe you never knew her as well as you thought you did. Lucia never inspired me the confidence she did you. We need to find out if she changed before or after her marriage to Sebastian! That boy still doesn't seem to me to be Sebastian's. The blue eyes are gone, the dark hair, nothing like Sebastian! If he turns out not to be Sebastian's, odds are back in out favor.
Marcela tells Gaviota over phone she had told Sebastian to call her, he never did. Gaviota tells her Mauricio Salinas won't be around this month either. Marcela also tells her about the Angela/Lucia/Lucrecia visit to Cecilia and what Cecilia told her afterwards. Gaviota says don't worry, they are invited. Marcela wants to know if she leaves anyu word for Sebastian in case he contacts her... Gav asks if he left any for her. No. In that case, I don't think I need to either.
Salinas is really anxious about what seems to be Association events upcoming for which he won't be there to help Gaviota out...... as he is leaving, he turns around ... really hessitant as to say something or not...
MS: Gaviota... hay una cosa importante que se me olvidaba...
Gav: Y como que sera esa cosa?
MS: Gaviota, yo la.... yo la amo! (smiles at her like a boy who just confessed to having stolen candy)
