Ep 122.
Daniela and Sebastian plan to celebrate his getting the office space. Francisco argues with Angela over phone about the wives not going to the cocktail. Lucia tells the wives that Paula IS going to the cocktail. They wonder if she and Marcela re teaming up to protect Gaviota. Cecilia goes to Lucrecia's apt personally to demand an explanation for the wives not going to the cocktail in honor of Don Oct.
Cecilia could care less about Gaviota. She cares about the memory of Octavio Vallejo above any of their personal crusades. If they won't go, she will begin to think that they are not part of the family. Marcela alerts Sebastian over phone of the situation between Gaviota and the wives, she tells him Cecilia went there but they didn't reach an agreement.
Marc: Sebastian, en realidad eso no es lo que me preocupa. Lo que me preocupa en este momento es la Gaviota. Es que ellas quieren hacerle daño, Sebastian! Y estan empecinadas en no ir nada mas porque se arme un problema entre la Asociacion y la familia y eso no es justo!! La Gaviota dijo que no pensaba ir si eso las tranquilizaba. Tu que opinas?
Seb: Marcela, dile que no se deje amedrentar por ellas! Que las ignore, que no le va a pasar nada.
Marc: Eso mismo le dije yo, pero ojala que haga caso, no? Y que? Estas muy nervioso?
Seb: Porque estaria nervioso?
Marc: Porque no ves a la Gaviota hace mucho tiempo y por fin se van a encontrar.
Seb: Marcela, yo no voy a ese coctel por ella! Yo voy por la abuela y despues tengo un compromiso con Daniela.
Marc: Entiendo.
Seb: Hasta luego.
Angela changes strategy. If they don't go, Gaviota might get a slap on the wrist but they would end up real bad in the eyes of Francisco and Cecilia. If we want to show Gaviota does not belong at the Association, we have to get the message to others, and the best place to do it is at the coctel tonight.
Arthur confirms to Paula over phone that the phone bills arrived and there were many calls to Sebastian's apartment.
The guests begin to arrive at the coctel, greeted by Salinas and Gaviota. They tell Avellaneda that the Vallejo wives are not coming, Avellaneda is very concerned.
The Vallejo wives at the beauty parlor keep drinking and planning how they will behave at the coctel.
Ivan arrives at the coctel, tells everyone his wife was not 'welcome' at the events. Doctor Fontalvo, Marcia's dad, is at the coctel, tells Avellaneda he needs to talk to him about a very serious issue, urgently.
Cecilia arrives at the coctel. Paula and Miguel, Marcela and Harold also arrive. He hasn't yet tried the coffee that Salinas gave him last time he was there because he is sad to open such a beautiful packaging.
Bernardo tells Ivan he is aware that Ivan used the family money to play the money market games. Also alerts Ivan that his assistant (and significant other) is still nervous about the old 'false shipments' issue.
Sebastian arrives, very much under control, greets Gaviota with a kiss on the cheek. Tells her about the good business he was able to make during his trip and about the award for his coffee abroad. He is very thankful for their help even if he didn't accept it after a while. Then Sebastian moves away to talk to Marcela...
Marc: Como la viste?
Seb: Pues... bella como siempre.
Miguel is talking to others about all the hard work he has put it as administrator of the hacienda, and tries to throw some numbers at them about the production quantities, etc... Sebastian arrives after a moment and is surprised to hear about the 'hard work' at the hacienda. The guests ask Sebastian about his gourmet coffee. Sebastian is proud to announce he is doing very well with it.
Seb: Lo que si me preocupa es el resto de mi cafe.
Migu: Claro, porque es mas o menos el 65% de la produccion de la hacienda...
Seb: (quickly interrupts with a certain humor) Eh... el 90%, Miguel, El 90 %. (Seb has made Miguel seem like an idiot in front of the other guests)...
