(at Cecilia's the phone rings, Marcela answers... everyone is in living room behind her)
Marc: HALO!... HALO! Quien habla?
(seems like there is a lot of noise behing Gaviota. Throughout this couple of calls, Sebastian and Gaviota spend most of the time kissing even while they are talking, and sharing a shotglass of aguardiente, they really can't keep even a foot away from each other the whole time)
Gav: Marcela?! Habla con su futura cunada!! (Seb gets close to the phone and yells 'Hola Marcelaaa!!) Es que como le prometi, aqui tengo a su hermano al lado mio!
Marc: Y que les paso?? Como les fue?? Donde estan?? Porque no habian llamado antes?? (my GOD she can talk fast!! )
Gav: No!! Pues porque aqui el joven le dio por ponerse a rodar por toda la region!! Y me hizo perseguirlo por toda Colombia!!...
Seb: (getting close to the phone again) Es que me lo debia!... me lo debia...
Gav: No! Estamos en las fiestas del cafe!
Seb: Calarca!!
Gav: En Calarca!... Que?... OOOHHHH.. que se me arrodillo ni que nada! Ese cayo facilisimo!!
Seb: Como piedra! .. Como piedra... (he must be too drunk to realize he is repeating everything as in doing his own echo. lol)
Gav: Bueno! Ustedes tienen que decirle a Dona Cecilia! Que yo le estoy cumpliendo la promesa y todo! Que manana mismo me lo voy a casar!! ... Si! Ya se lo paso! (gives phone to Sebastian)
Seb: Marcela!??? SI!... Si! Necesito que vengan todos manana!! Es que.. (she gives him a sip of aguardiente) nos vamos a casar! En Finlandia! Pero manana! Mmmm! Pero que venga todo el Mundo!! Oye!! Oye!! Quiero que tambien inviten al Doctor Avellaneda!! Que Gaviota quiere que sea el Padrino!! (as he is saying this Gaviota is lipspelling the same words to him) Si!!
Marc: Sebastian, tu sabes que? Que nos encantaria! pero va a estar dificil la transportada! Ademas, nos tocaria dejar a Arthur!
Seb: No, no, Marcela!! Es que EL ya puede venir por aca!!
Marc: Estas seguro?? Sebastian!! Y como van a hacer para los preparativos?? El vestido!! Todo!... un minuto...(covers phone to tell family) Se van a casar!! (everyone celebrates at the living room, Marcela turns back to the phone again. Cec calls for Marcela's attention )
Cec: Marcela! Marcela! Mijita, digale que el frap del abuelo esta en la hacienda!
Marc: Sebastian!! Que dice la abuela que el frap del abuelo esta en la hacienda!!.. Y entonces??... Y lo de la Gaviota? que es lo que se va a poner??
Seb: No! Ya eso lo tenemos resuelto! Ya!! Ya!! Resuelto!! Marcela, hazme un favor! Yo quiero que le des un mensaje a Harold!
Marc: A Harold? ... Si! Listo, listo!! Yo le digo! En todo caso, hablamos!! Ah! De pronto te tenemos una sorpresa pero como es sorpresa no te cuento todavia, bueno?... Besote!!
Seb: Nos vemos aca!! (blows many kisses by the phone... and puts it down on bar, more kissy kissy with Gaviota)
Marc: Y Sebastian quiere que estemos alla para lo del matrimonio y... Harold te pide un favor!
Har: OK!! Cuantos pasajes son??
Marc: Bueno! Pues... es como un prestamo!! No? Y EL lo puede consierar como tu regalo de bodas!
Har: No problem!! Viajamos todos a la hacienda, asi me quede en la ruina!! (as he is saying this he lets himself fall back on the couch, and Marcela and Arthur charge him, she hugs him and Arthur begins to caress the thick gold chain necklace of Harold's)
Arthur: Vamos a empenar este! (every one laughs)
(Sebastian and Gaviota are back on the phone, it is Carmenza's turn... Seb and Gaviota are hugging as she is calling, their faces right on each other...)
Gav: Mami??! Usted tiene que coger el primer vuelo que salga!! Claro!! No, no se preocupe! No! Que me comunique Usted con Don Mr Thomas (Seb laughs, seemingly she had updated him on the Carmenza romance issue) que yo tengo que darle instrucciones a EL!! Para que haga lo que tiene que hacer!... EL sabe, hombre! El sabe!.. Vea!! Y se trae casi todo porque alla si no volvemos!! (kiss) Ni de fundas!! ... Bueno! Que mi DIOS me la bendiga!! Pues la espero aca manana pues como sea!! ...
Seb: (gets to shout before she hangs up) Chao!!!
Gav: (as she is hanging up) Le ha da'o la lloradera porque tiene que dejar al landlord!...(they keep on kissing, but he suddenly gets serious)
Seb: Estas segura que no quieres regresar?
Gav: (gets serious, slightly turned off by the question) Y yo regresar pa' que?? Ay no! Vea!! Una vez su familia me dijo a mi... que yo que estaba con Usted porque estaba detras de la hacienda!! Pero eso si que es verdad!(he is back to all smiles by now) Porque yo quiero que esa hacienda sea la mas productiva del mundo!! Porque yo quiero solamente trabajar por Usted!! Yo no quiero irme para Londres para hacer que yo?? Yo solamente quiero ver cafetales en mi vida!! Trabajar por Usted! Y eso es lo que vamos a hacer, cierto? (as she has been saying this they have managed to kiss almost constantly as she has been talking lol)
Seb: Vamos a ser productivos? (they laugh) Bueno, y esto? Hay que pagar! (changes focus to find a way to pay for the drinks)Senor! Venga! (begins to take his gold chain bracelet off, at same time she reaches in her purse for money)
Gav: Eso si! Por ningun motivo va Usted a... (tries to prevent him from taking bracelet off)
Seb: No, no!!
Gav: No, no!! Y con que plata va a pagar??...
Seb: Esperate! (to bartender with bracelet in his hand, showing it to him) Mira! Esto es oro! Venga!! (Gav keeps fighting it off and hands her money to bartender) Pero no, no, no!! Deme esa platica aca!! Senor, por favor!! (turns to her) Gaviota!! Gaviota, mi amor! Dejame pagar un trago... (she smiles giving up, he kisses her and turns back to bartender) Sencilla con cara de doble!!
(next day, they get to a church, the priest is giving confession, they get in line... and when it is their turn she heads to one side and he gets to the other...)
Gav: Buenos dias, Padre!
Pad: Buenos dias, hija! Cuanto hace que no te confiesas?
Gav: Ay, yo no se, Padre! Yo lo que quiero es que Usted me case!!
Seb: (from the other side of the booth) Si, Padre! Lo que pasa es que hace 5 anos que hemos querido casarnos y no hemos podido y queriamos hacerlo ya!! Hoy mismo, por ejemplo!!
Pad: Pero porque tanto afan? Ah! (turns to her) Es que Usted esta...
Gav: No, Padre! Yo no estoy nada! Lo que pasa es que este joven de alla me lleva pidiendo la mano, pues, hace mucho tiempo! Pero antes de llegar al altar, siempre pasa algo! Entonces, yo queria como jugarle al destino algo antes de que nos haga una mala pasada!!
Pad: Bueno, hija, podriamos poner la fecha como para.. a ver...
Seb: No, no, no, Padre! Es que eso tiene que ser hoy mismo!! Sera posible??
Pad: Bueno... porque no me dan unas horitas hasta la tarde! Yo tengo unas confesiones, y pues, mando a preparar la iglesia! Si?
Gav: Nos esperamos hasta esta tarde, verdad?
Seb: Si...
Pad: SI podran esperarse? (he must have a neck ache by now)
Gav: Jaja! Yo creo que si! Ahora si deme la bendicion!
Pad: En el nombre del Padre, del Hijo y del Espiritu Santo! Vayan en paz!
(Gav and Sebastian happily exit the church, Juancho and the guys are waiting outside for them, while they were at the church Juancho had gone to arrange the wedding gown issue for Gaviota)
Seb: (proudly shouting) Muchachos!! Nos casamos esta misma tarde!! (they both jump on the jeep and go away...)
