Dear Mr Thompson,

It seems like you are already loosing the huge number or
viewers who used to tune in anxiously waiting to see Guy
Ecker. Too bad, because it could convert to a loss in revenue for NBC and therefore, your downfall for this show.

I can't seem to understand how the host and lover boy of
the casino with some secret training from the military
who is not even good looking ends up being the police
in charged of solving all crimes. As though he and the car parker of the Casino are no longer in need of the Police for the state of Nevada or the city of Las Vegas, Every thing is solved by these two cooks.

I have to tell you that I am very dissapointed with this turn of events. and I will tell all of the people who watch our forum and Guy's fans all over the world to forget about
watching Las Vegas show, because you have not seen
fit to use this wonderful Actor in your show on a more
regular basis nor even have the decency to put his picture up with the rest of those people who have been guests on your las vegas show.

Thanks for nothing Mr. Thompson, I thought you had insight to capture the best people for your show, but I see
you do not have that insight, So, I'm sorry for you and your show.

Cafe con Aroma de Mujer... Ep 146

Marcela continues the conversation on phone with Lucia and tells Lucia that despite the financial status Sebastian is going through, he did ask them to provide Lucia some money for the maintenance of the baby if she asked. Lucia asks for 1Million, maybe 2 since she has to pay the hotel bill, Marcela pretty much laughs at her and says they will send whatever they can, but it won't be much...
Meanwhile Miguel and his new girlfriend are at the travel agency and he is putting their plane tickets, hotel reservation and rental car in his credit card... lol... he has some trouble finding a credit card that has not been blocked, but finally finds one, he gets mad at the travel agents, his girlfriend is more forgiving. they are headed for Cartagena for 2 weeks...
The girlfriend makes another phone call... seemingly she is worse than Miguel, she is just a fake looking for a man loaded with money and she tells her friend very excited that she has found him!!
Lucia calls the lawyer... she wants her deposit back since Seb does not have any money to sue him for and she no longer wants to go through with it... but the lawyer cannot return her deposit, he spent it doing his investigations. she is insulted when he cannot return any of her money, calling it a 'descaro'. Lucia then calls the manager of the hotel to talk about some way to deal with the bill...
Gaviota and Carmenza have arrived at their apartment in London. Carmenza is having trouble dealing with the time change (it is about 8 hours later in London than in Colombia).
Gaviota seemingly spoke to Avellaneda and she noticed a change in tone in him, as if something is going on in Colombia... Carmenza wonders if a tragedy happened...
Seb is seen through the bars in his cell very sad, definitely thinking about Gaviota.
At the hacienda, Jorge Latorre and the Bank people are arguing about the hacienda production backing up the debt, but the bank guys say since the hacienda crops were blocked by the Assoc, they have to take other assetts in the hacienda... Latorre goes beserk, demands that they do not touch the actual property... the bank guy says they are aware Seb is not the only owner of the hacienda and they will do their best not to touch the actual property equipment. Arthur commits himself to work 24/7 or do whatever it takes to try and get the hacienda out of trouble... Latorre has to run back to Bogota to try to protect Sebastian's properties in Bogota, like the apartment. Paula wonders about Sebastian's demeanor, Latorre says he is ok, the only thing that is really concerning him is the baby and the fact that they have not located Lucia to give her money for the baby yet... Paula wonders where they will get money, Latorre says he will do what he can.
Lucia visits Ivan/Lucrecia's apt. Lucrecia is irritated at her presence, wondering what Lucia could want. Lucrecia says Lucia is 'descarada' to come ask them for help now. Lucia is surprised but wonders what she has done to Lucrecia. Lucrecia plays the offended/affected one since she is the one that introduced Lucia and Sebastian. She considered Lucia her friend. Lucia replies precisely because I thought you were my friend I am here. Lucrecia says what about Miguel? They are arguing loudly while Lucia still has little Ricardo in her arms... Lucia says what are u complaining? your marriage worked, but mine never did. Wouldn't you have tried to help your parents if they needed it? Lucrecia is not buying the show. You came to the wrong place at the wrong time.
Lucia: Todo lo hice por mi familia... Y ahora yo estoy sola y soy una carga para mi familia... y Miguel se fue con todo lo que yo tenia... y yo necesito hablar contigo.. necesito ayuda...
Lucrecia: Pues creo que viniste al sitio equivocado en el momento equivocado. Gracias a Seb tenemos congelados todos los bienes. Si quieres te puedo dar la plata que tengo en la billetera pero eso te da para dormir esta noche nada mas.
Lucia: No, Lucrecia. Estas muy equivocada. Yo no vengo por limosna. Si algo me queda de dignidad...
Lucre: Espero que puedas vivir de ella...
Lucia: Sabes que, Lucrecia? Haces muy bien el papel de la mujer moral y de la mujer indignada con lo que esta pasando. Y dices que yo jugue contigo y que no fui honesta contigo. Y sabes lo que creo? Que fue todo lo contrario. Que entre tu y Ivan lo planearon todo. Que buscaron una mujer para Sebastian, para que EL estuviera alejado de la Gaviota, que era el peligro verdadero para Ustedes. Y me hiciste casarme con EL aunque no me amaba. Porque lo que tu querias era que no tuvieramos un hijo para que no hubiera problemas! para que Uds pudieran manejar la herencia del abuelo! Pero yo me le sali de las manos! Ahora yo soy una persona indigna y sucia!! No eres igual que yo, sino peor!!
Lucre: Vayase de esta casa!!
Lucia: Me voy. Pero te quiero decir que tu indignacion no es porque me hayas presentado a la familia Vallejo y hayas quedado mal. Es porque entre Miguel y yo acabamos con la finca. Lucre: No! Es que lo que me molesta es su presencia!! Y yo creo que mejor se va porque mi marido esta por llegar. Ahora si Ud viene con ese cuento para conmoverme, pues olvidese porque techo en esta casa no tiene! Y nunca la dejaria dormir bajo el mismo techo que mi marido!! porque yo no sabria de que seria capaz UD!! (in comes Ivan from work)
I: Ud que hace aqui, Lucia?
Lucre: Ella ya se iba.
I: Espero que le haya cambiado el apellido a ese nino. De nada le sirve que siga llevando el apellido V. Y mucho menos que siga figurando como el hijo de Seb. porque ya no hay nada que EL pueda hacer.
Lucia: No se preocupe ya. A mi no me interesa el apellido V. Y si, ya me voy. Me voy porque su mujer teme! ... que nosotros podamos tener algo. Por lo visto Ud no le ha contado que lo nuestro se acabo... (of course, she is lying, but she just wants to hit Lucre where it hurts her)
Lucre: Que??...
Luc: Si, Lucrecia! Ivan iba a mi casa a visitarme cuando Seb estaba de viaje, y no precisamente cuando Ustedes estaban separados!...
I: Mire, Lucia. es mejor que se vaya y por favor no me obligue a sacarla, si??! (getting irritated)
Luc: Al principio llego a mi casa como un amigo. A darme consejos porque mi relacion con Seb estaba muy mal. Y luego me sedujo. Y no una vez. Dos veces, Lucrecia.
Lucre: Larguese...
I: Larguese!!
Luc: Adios, Lucrecia...
(no matter what Ivan can shout in his defense, Lucrecia brings out all his old skeletons from the closet, all the secretaries... etc etc... these two don't know how to be together other than arguing)

Gaviota and Carmenza's landlord shows up at their apt to introduce himself as the head porter (Mr. Bruce Thomas). Carmenza does not speak a letter of english so she summons Gaviota to help her... Gav serves as translator... Gav asks him to check over Carmenza every now and then because she will be out all day working. Mr. Thomas says no problem I'll take care of her.
Carmenza likes Mr Thomas from the first moment and Gav notices it and jokes her about it.

At hacienda, Paula is depressed on phone with Marcela when Arthur's old girlfriend Matilde shows up and Paula is confused. Matilde says she always comes in through the coffee fields. Matilde knows Paula by name and that Arthur told her a lot about her. and that they are together again. Matilde wants to speak to Arthur. Paula consults with a maid at the house and the maid does tell her Matilde used to be Arthur's girlfriend and that since her dad died she has turned kind of looney. Paula decides to have her call out for Arthur, that she needs him at the house now.
At CE, Ivan is yelling on the phone at someone while the lawyer is in the office. the American banks have frozen all his assetts and money. Ivan wants to know how long it will be before the funds are unlocked, the lawyer says this will take a lot longer than they originally thought.
Latorre keeps warning Seb that waiting before he retrieves his guilty declaration is very dangerous, it is giving Ivan and his lawyer a lot of time to build a case against him. Seb asks if they have found Lucia to give her money and Latorre has no choice but to tell Seb that the banks have blocked all funds from hacienda accounts and there are bank reps at the hacienda.
Arthur arrives at the house, is very surprised to find Matilde. Matilde wants him to go with her, Arthur says he is not going anywhere with her... she demands that he leave with her... Paula comes in and says he is not going anywhere... Matilde threatens Arthur to go directly to the police if he does not leave with her. Paula wants to know what this is about, Arthur is getting mad at Matilde. He has no choice but to leave with Matilde but cannot explain why to Paula. Paula demands that he explain why he is leaving with Matilde and Arthur has no choice but to tell her the story (of the death of Matilde's uncle, etc)... if he does not go with her she will go to the police and say they both killed her uncle... how could he explain he was not part of it? it would be his word against hers... also now he is worried about Paula now that Matilde knows they are back together...
Lucia calls Marcela back to accept whatever money they can supply her...
Cecilia seemingly is not eating probably because of her being depressed at her familys situation.
Arthur discusses possibilities of what to do now about Matilde with Paula... he has to continue to administer the hacienda but they have to keep Matilde away... what to do... end of ep 146

Paula and Arthur continue talking about what they can do now... Paula suggests they leave the hacienda. they are not safe now at least while Matilde is around. Arthur is reluctant to leave the hacienda, but Paula says let's solve the Seb situation first and then they can deal with her... she needs him with her now... so they will leave and go to Bogota to Cecilia's.
Gaviota and the coffee rep in Europe talk about the support or lack of it from the other coffee producing countries and the harm that the rep from the US and the other consumer countries can do to the 'pact'.
Matilde goes beserk after she realizes Arthur and Paula have fled the hacienda.
Carlos Fontalvo calls Avellaneda, still cannot locate Marcia his daughter.
Paula and Arthur arrive at Cecilia's to a conforting Marcela. Harold is taking very good care of Cecilia. Cecilia reluctantly accepts his charms... Marcela is worried that Cec won't eat, and does not expect her to get better until Seb is out of his trouble... so let's hope he will come out of this and very soon...
Gav and Salinas talk on phone, and he surprises her with the news that he will come to London next week to help her out with the conference and the meetings with the other delegates. Salinas does clarify that he won't mix feelings with work issues. So don't worry about me. Gav says don't worry, despite whatever happened in Bogota, I will appreciate your help and your support here.
Every now and then we still get shots of Seb pacing around his cell, worried, sad...
Fran comes into Ivan's office announcing to him they have no money, even for paying employees, have to close the company. Ivan argues loudly that he won't do that... argues go back and forth, Fran allegates that it will ruin them with the coffee society and with the american and local banks. Ivan stays firm, they have to leave now to go to the courthouse.
Marcia calls her dad. He tells her that Seb and not Ivan is the one in jail, and that Ivan is looking for her like crazy to find those diskettes... her dad needs the diskettes, wants her to send them to him, but seems like she will bring them personally to Bogota.
Latorre tells Seb that Ivan is presenting his balances at the courthouse... but there are no hopes because they have had a lot of time to explain any questionable incomes. Latorre insists that they retrieve his guilty call now and Seb keeps firm that they need to keep waiting until something falls through and someone comes forward.
Manuel walks into Bernardo's office extremely nervous with another summons from the court to appear the next day. He is panicked that he will be in deep trouble. Another summons arrives for Bernardo for the next day too. Manuel wants to call Ivan to talk about what to do tomorrow. Ivan at the office tells Fran he only had to clarify some revenues to the court. Ivan says he is free of suspicion now. Fran is still worried about Bernardo and his friend. Ivan says we will see what we can do for him.
Jorge tells Seb the hacienda is barely producing enough for its own maintenance.Arthur is at Cec's house because of the Matilde situation...Seb asks Jorge where the money they are giving Lucia is coming from... (I think it is coming from Harold since they are showing him immediately after that shot). Marcela, Paula and Arthur are very worried. Arthur asks Harold for some money to help out with the expenses and to have a little detail for Paula... Harold reassures Arthur that he is a gentleman and nothing like MT.
At London, there is a meeting with the coffee growers and Gaviota tries her best to get the support of all the growers... but the brazilian guy is pulling away, which is a big blow since Brazil is the biggest grower in America, they can't take a 30% cut.
Ivan and the lawyer talk about the summons for Bernardo and Manuel. Lawyer warns Ivan that Manuel basically will go from the declaration to jail since they did not find anything or anyone else suspicious at the customs/naviera. Ivan wants the lawyer to keep quiet when Bernardo and Manuel arrive to discuss about tomorrow's declaration. Lawyer argues that once Manuel finds himself lost, he will turn against Bernardo. Ivan reassures the lawyer that Manuel will not turn on Bernardo. Lawyer also tells Ivan that Bernardo will strangle Ivan when Manuel ends up locked up. Ivan says we will deal with him later, just want this all over with.
Back at London, they have to end up the meeting after 6 hrs and little progress. The guy from Brazil warns Gav and the other colombian rep that possibly the problem is the americans are making deals with the little growers to separate the growers and end the 'global agreement'.
Marcia arrives at her dad's. She announces that Seb won't be in jail for long. She did not come back on vacation. (end of ep 147)

Salinas arrives in London.
Carlos Fontalvo calls Avellaneda with the good news that Marcia is in town. However, Marcia lies to her dad and says she left the diskettes.. but when he leaves her apt, she pulls them out of her purse smiling, seems she will be playing some games with them.
Carmenza, in London, is cooking all kinds of stuff for Mr. Thomas. and she is somehow communicating with him. this is pretty funny how she tries to get herself understood and all she can talk about is colombian food... but he has had enough food...
she gives him some aguardiente to help down the 'chicharrones'. MrT: 'this is strong stuff! my head is going round and round!...'
Gaviota arrives at the apt with Salinas, Salinas is happy to be eating homemade stuff after so long...
Carmenza asks Gav in private what Salinas is doing there... yeah right! she won't bite the story of he's there for work and work alone... he is there for her...
At Ivan's office, Bernardo and Manuel are very worried. Ivan fakes not knowing better and tells Manuel he is paranoic. Bernardo admits he is also. Lawyer keeps lying saying they just want to clarify some points. Bernardo is not so easy to convince.
Lucrecia calls Ivan, seems she is spying on him all day since Lucia told her what she told her. IVan yells at her if he is not home in half an hour then she can yell. Bernardo stays behind and talks to Ivan in private, is worried that this lawyer is not good. Let's get another lawyer! Ivan says just take it easy.
On his way out Ivan gets a call from Marcia. (guess he will be late arriving home again lol) Marcia summons Ivan to her apt.
Marcia summons Ivan for the next day at 7pm. Ivan wants to do it earlier, but Marcia catches the clue and mocks him that he has a curfew with his wife. Oh by the way, she is recording all her calls with Ivan. Bernardo, who was standing by Ivan during the call, is very worried about the diskettes.
Salinas who stayed for dinner at Gav's apt, sits down with Carm and Gav for drinks, he explains the whole subject of the coffee 'pact/agreement' to Carmenza who was tired of Gaviota coming home to tell her about it but she did not understand any of it.
the maintenance of the 'pact' is beneficial for the producers since it stabilizes the price of coffee and the value of their crops, and breaking the 'pact' is beneficial to consumers like the US, who want the price of coffee to come down and to be able to negotiate with individual countries for price levels.
Ivan builds a huge argument when he gets home, i believe intentionally, to try and convince her to lift the curfew of 7pm so he can go to Marcia's tomorrow night without a big argument with Lucrecia about it. He is successful in making her feel guilty and lift it.
Gaviota basically has to beg the secretary of the american rep in London. She gets angry after hanging up and the colombian rep is surprised and tells her things are handled differently in London. The rep casually tells her that CE has stopped all export of coffee and the Vallejos are avoiding public appearances and contacts, but does not know why. Gaviota asks Salinas, he does not know, but suggests to ask Avellaneda. If anything is happening at CE, surely Avel knows what it is. She is puzzled/concerned.

(ahem!!! ... in a commercial, in what seems to be a talk show Margarita Rosa announces that out of all the partners she has worked with the one that kisses best is 'sebastian', a.k.a. Guy Ecker).

At the courthouse, as expected, Manuel arrives with his own lawyer. Bernardo is also there but they won't let him come in now.
Ivan is at the office, his lawyer comes to let him know that his suit against Sebastian has already been placed... but don't expect to get anything of value out of it. IVan says what he is looking with it is to clear up his image with the american banks...
Lawyer warns him that the family won't like it.
Latorre comes to Cecilia's. asks where Cecilia is and Marcela tells him she is in bed. (nope) Latorre tells Marcela that Ivan has sued Sebastian for a whole lot of nonesenses. (Cecilia is listening behind the wall).
Marc: Pero porque?
JL: ' primero mantener su imagen de inocencia. Porque si fuera realmente inocente, hubiera demandado a Seb porque si no su facilidad hubiera sido sospechosa. Y segundo, apropiarse de la hacienda. EL sabe que la banca americana tarde o temprano va a pedir indemnizacion a CE. Y como va a pagar, Marcela? Como va a responder? Con la hacienda!!
Mar: Pero es que eso YO no se lo voy a permitir!! Mejor dicho, yo me voy a CE!! A ese tipo le gusta que le peguen y eso es lo que yo voy a hacer!!
Cecilia has heard enough, comes out, scaring both Marcela and Latorre.
Cec: Usted no va a ninguna parte, Marcela. Quien va a CE soy yo.
Marc; Abuela, Tu no estas en condiciones.
Cec: Como que no estoy en condiciones? Este es un asunto entre Ivan y yo. Ivan esta en la oficina? (JL Says he thinks so)
She wants to go to Ivan's office asap, needs to talk to him personally right now.
At the courthouse, the D.A. tells Manuel about all the evidence and witnesses that are against him. At all this evidence, he will have to respond for it. Manuel asks if that means he is going to jail. D.A. says the length of time depends on whether he is willing to facilitate to the court who else participated in the felony. However, Manuel does not admit/declare that Seb asked him to falsify the documents. He had no contact with Seb.

Manuel's new declaration/questioning continues on...
D.A. asks him if Reynaldo Perez asked him to sign, Manuel says yes, RP asked him. Manuel knew RP worked at CE but RP never mentioned the name of Seb to him. D.A. asks Manuel if Ber ever asked him to sign the documents. D.A. reiterates to him that they need to know if he acted voluntarily or he was ordered to do so. and if someone ordered him to do so, like Bernardo V, his time in jail would be reduced. But Manuel does not incriminate Bernardo or any Vallejo. Manuel lies and says they offered him money to falsify the documents. Manuel is crying but repeats over and over again that noone ordered him, he acted on his own.
Manuel exits the courtroom in cuffs and turns to Bernardo saying he was sorry to betray him and Bernardo goes beserk when he realizes they are taking Manuel away to jail.
In his declaration Bernardo denies knowing of the falsified export documents that his cousing was processing. Ber is in disbelief when the D.A. tells him Manuel declared himself guilty of the falsification of the documents.
As the lawyer is giving Ivan the good news that the D.A. is finished and is accusing Seb, Manuel and RP, IVan is sighing happy that all that is left is the hearing, Ivan sees Cecilia come in the door..
I: Abuela! Abuela, por Dios pero tu que haces aqui? Deberias estar en la casa... abuela, de verdad no estas en condiciones de ...
(SLAP!!!)
C: Usted es absolutamente despreciable, Ivan!! Lo que le esta haciendo a su primo... a que digo a su primo? ... a su hermano
y a toda la familia... no tiene perdon de Dios! ... lo desconozco... lo desconozco, Ivan! Y ahora estoy absolutamente segura de que Ud si utilizo a Seb para hacer esas exportaciones ficticias. Y lo mas repugante ... es que no solamente no se quedo contento con haberlo ensuciado... sino que ahora lo demanda!!
I: abuela, necesitaba hacerlo!! Pero tranquilizate! No va a tener ninguna repercucion!! Te lo prometo!!
C: Por DIOS, Ivan!!
I: Era simplemente para resguardar mi imagen! Y la de la empresa, abuela!
C: Eso no tiene ninguna justificacion, Ivan por DIOS!! Eso no se le hace a nadie! Y menos entre hermanos!! Esa no fue el moral que le inculcamos en la casa! (Ivan just stares at her emotionless) Y quiero decirle algo... no vuelva a poner un pie en mi casa. No es digno de entrar en ella. (as she leaves she turns around one more time) No quiero volver a verlo nunca.

At London, Gav asks the rep to ask Avellaneda what the situation of CE and the Vallejos, Ave says yes, there are problems but he can't give details until the issue is all over. And no, Seb has not resumed the management of CE, is not around at all. Rep relays the message to Gaviota, who seems troubled by it. Even though when she speaks to Salinas again she says does not care.
Ivan is having a bad day, is on phone arguing with Lucrecia about having a meeting with lawyers at 7pm tonight, and in comes Bernardo totally out of control about Manuel being in jail. Angela arrives and is happy that Bernardo and Ivan are still free of suspicion. Ivan promises Bernardo they will try to get Manuel out of jail any way possible and even will give him monetary compensation...
Ber: Te voy a decir una cosa... Tu indemnizacion y tus abonos me importan un car___! Quiero a Manuel fuera!... QUiero a Manuel fuera y lo quiero al lado mio. No voy a perder por tu culpa lo unico que he querido en mi vida, oiste! Y te advierto una vez! QUIERO A MANUEL FUERA DE LA CARCEL!!! (leaves mad)
Ang: (in a rare human moment about anyone else other than her and Ivan) Que puedes hacer por ese muchacho?
I: nada!...
(Ivan tells Angela about the Marcia and the diskettes situation and Angela yells at him that he needs to deal with that, she can't even think of what Lucrecia will do if she finds out)
Ivan visits Marcia. Of course he won't admit that the reason he wanted to see her was about the diskettes, even if she insists in asking... Ivan says he could never forget her... they go to bed while Lucrecia paces around her house irritated...
Gaviota arrives at her apt with most of the reps from grower countries and finds Carm and Mr. Thomas wasted, she is laughing at what she thinks is a joke, he was trying to tell her about a time he was a pilot and had a major accident that almost cost him his life... all the reps sit down and have a good time... and end up singing in portuguese and other languages...

Carmenza keeps teasing Gaviota that Salinas' presence is not only about work, he still feels strongly for Gaviota.
Gaviota goes to try to speak to the american rep, but he brushes her off so she is waiting at his office for his return.
Bernardo goes to see Manuel. Manuel wants Ber to warn Ivan that he is keeping quiet as long as Ivan gets him out of there.
Ber: Yo solo quiero que sepas algo. Tu eres mas importante que mi hermano, que la naviera y que mi propia familia. Y no voy a sacrificar nuestras vidas por ninguno de ellos. Yo se que muy pronto vamos a estar juntos otra vez.

Ivan asks lawyer what's up now. Lawyer says first session of hearing is tomorrow... and that it could be long if Sebastian goes into re-opening reviews of his own income and Ivan's. Lawyer also asks Ivan if he has recovered the diskettes... Ivan says it is in progress... Ivan calls Marcia, they agree to see each other again tonight 7pm, even if Ivan wants to advance it to earlier.
Again, she recorded the call, which has very compromising words from Ivan toward her.
Gaviota keeps on trying to talk to the american... he keeps brushing her off... he kicks her off, but she waltzes into his office behind him... she knows what he wants is to end the agreement... finally he gives her 5 mins... his position is that they are not happy that since east europe's countries are not included in the agreement, they get coffee much cheaper than the american markets, who have to pay more than twice the price. Americans are willing to continue with the agreement, but their request remains the same (I guess this is the 30 % cut in price that the brazilian guy said before)... sorry Ms. Olivares, u're time's up.
Gav: Bueno, se me acabo el tiempo... pero yo antes de irme si le quiero decir una cosita Mr. Rosenbaum. Para Uds el cafe no es mas que un producto cualquiera! Es una rume de sacos ahi! Es un volumen que luego se convierte en una taza de cafe que se toman en el desayuno o en las oficinas, o como sea! Es un negocio cualquiera! Pero para nosotros, el cafe es LA VIDA!
No solamente es el producto que representa el 50% de las exportaciones de nuestro pais, y que ademas factura 1,500 millones de dolares al ano! Entonces, esto es una tradicion que viene ya de muchos anos, generacion tras generacion! Entonces la gente ama ese cafe, porque eso repercute en las escuelas, repercute en bienes para el pais, en carreteras, etc! Entonces, donde se llegue a patir ese pacto, Ud sabe que no va a llenar el abismo simplemente a los gobiernos y a los paises, sino concretamente a seres humanos! A familias, a mujeres hombres y ninos!! Entonces Ud no me puede ahi conmover diciendome que que lastima que les sale un poquito mas caro el cafe a Ustedes! Porque es que a Uds dejar de consumirlo no les pasa nada! Para nosotros, dejar de producirlo, ah, caramba pues eso si es llenarle la olla a todos los paises suramericanos que ven pintados en el mapa!

Latorre visits Seb, tells him what their strategy will be... Seb is kind of absent, distracted. Jorge tells Seb about his hopes with Marcia, and the diskettes. He already asked the judge to call her to declare during the hearing.

(There are TV people outside where Gav and the Brazil rep are standing ... A newscaster catches Gaviota, Seb and Latorre are watching it on TV...)
Seb: Mira... (they approach Gav for a TV interview, Gav seems as positive as she can be even though she just came out of talking to the american rep) La viste, Jorge? Viste... nuestra delegada? ... Te fijas que ... que yo no me equivoque! Mira a quien hubieramos frustrado si la hubieramos hecho quedarse aqui. Ella no estaria en estos momentos dando declaraciones en la OIC!
Estaria encerrada en una carcel de mujeres, frustrada, sin futuro, pagando por algo que no hizo! Yo no me equivoque, Jorge! Ella esta triunfando! Esta logrando lo que queria!
JL : Lo se... Lo se, Seb. Yo no quiero desanimarte, pero tengo que ser muy franco contigo. Lo mas probable es que el juez la llame a declarar. Mira, no debe pasar por alto que su firma esta en esos documentos!
S: Pero Jorge! Eso no puede ser! Tenemos que evitarlo de alguna forma!
JL: Eso esta en manos del juez, no de nosotros. Y ademas, su testimonio podria ayudarnos en este caso.
S: No, no y no, Jorge! Entiendelo, por favor! Mira, Jorge, no te esta hablando Seb el romantico! Tu acabas de ver!! Seria fatal para ella sin hablar de las implicaciones que le traeria a la asociacion y al cafe!! Jorge, ella es indispensable en Londres! Tenemos que buscar otra solucion, Jorge! Tenemos que buscarla!!
JL: Esperemos a ver que dice el juez en la audiencia! Y espero ser lo suficientemente convincente como para que no la traigan. Y ojala que los diskettes que va a traer la Sra. Marcia sean contundentes!.

(Bernardo keeps putting pressure on Ivan and the lawyer to get Manuel out of jail, gives Ivan until next day same time to get Manuel out of there)

Cecilia meets with Jorge Latorre, Paula, Marcela, Arthur and Harold at the house and she seems very affected by all this, Cecilia asks Jorge if he is absolutely sure Ivan is the guilty one who used Seb... this will cause a lot of trouble in the family... she asks Jorge if there is any other option than to turn it on Ivan, but he cannot think of another one... Paula knows how anguished Cecilia is but Ivan asked for it... Cec is so sad... Marcela also tries to console her... but Cec is depressed, she wants to go to the hearing tomorrow... Cec begins to have major pains in her leg... Marcela asks her to move the hand, she nods that she can't. they all go in panic and Harold yells to call the doctor asap!! Cecilia begins to collapse toward the right side which has gone numb on her suddenly.

Cafe con Aroma de Mujer.. ep 151

Avellaneda, Salinas and Boveda (the Europ colombian rep) arrive at Gaviota's house. They won't say for dinner, just talk a few mins.
Jorge goes to talk to Marcia at her apt. Jorge tells Marcia he understands she is willing to provide major evidence to help Sebastian. Marcia tells Jorge she is not going to show up at court. Jorge is surprised, his understanding was that she was all for helping out Seb. She claims that without the diskettes she won't show up only to get chewed up by Ivan... She promises that if the diskettes arrive this afternoon, she will show up at the hearing. Jorge is very confused...
At the end of their meeting, Gav stays behind with Avellaneda, she asks what is going on with CE, he spills that Ivan did something very critical, but he can't talk until the issue is closed... and asks her to think of nothing else than what she is trying to accomplish here... when he returns to Colombia, he expects the issue to be terminated and he will personally give her the details.
Gav tells Carmenza after Ave leaves: Mira, tengo como un cosquilleo... de esos que Ud sabe que me dan a mi... que algo esta pasando!...

Ivan keeps yelling at Lucrecia on phone that he has another meeting tonight at 7... Angela comes in his office... He tells her he will ask her for the diskettes tonight, but he thinks he has her crazy about him again... but asks her for help with Lucrecia who is completely paranoic.

Most of the family is at the clinic, all with long faces... Harold attacks the doctor... asks for news... it was cerebro-vascular problems, known as trombosis (mainly, a stroke).
When Francisco and Bernardo arrive, Marcela tells them and she can't help but be sarcastic asking Bernardo if he really cares about her.
Ivan visits Marcia again, carrying flowers.
Angela and Lucrecia arrive at the clinic. Marcela throws another sarcastic remark at them after greeting them... Lucrecia is surprised to see Bernardo there, since Ivan said he had a meeting with the lawyers about Manuel, and thought it would be important for Bernardo to be there... Bernardo does not know of any meeting... Angela pulls Lucrecia away, and reprimends her for being so angry when the abuela is like this...
Ivan asks Marcia for the diskettes, Marcia plays dumb, asks what he would give her in exchange for the diskettes... you?
Ivan offers for them to go away for the weekend...
M: el tiempo que yo quiera?
I: El tiempo que tu quieras.
M: Aun a costa de tu matrimonio?
I: Mira, Marcia... muy posiblemente, ya me esta costando mi matrimonio.
M: ... trato hecho...

Paula and Arthur stay at the hospital. Marcela and Harold return to the house. they will be at the courthouse to support Seb tomorrow morning.

Ivan asks where the diskettes are. Marcia lies again and says they are in NY. Marcia had hid his car keys, but he was not going to stay the night, even if that means he had to go home without the car. SO she returns the keys to him.

Ivan arrives home and is mad when Lucrecia waits a few minutes to tell him that Cecilia.

Seb is watching Gav on TV again and gets unsettled when he sees Salinas around Gaviota. But he does not have much time to think about it, it is time for the beginning of his hearing.

Doctor tells Paula and Arthur Cecilia is losing her speech and her alertness... tells them she was mumbling some concerns about a trial and a hearing...
Marcela and Jorge arrive at the hearing.
They bring Seb in. he is upset she came. Jorge tells him Marcia won't come until she has the diskettes, but not to worry, he can present the rest of the evidence and let's hope she will show up before its too late.
Marcela gives him some news article about Gaviota, he says he knows she is there with Salinas.
The hearing begins. Bernardo is there to support Manuel.
They begin to show in parallel the progress of the conference in Europe and the hearing. Sebastian changes his declaration when the judge asks him to confirm his plea of guilty. he says he was utilized by his cousin Ivan and Reynaldo Perez.
He is drilled by the judge (a woman) and the D.A. to make sure he goes against what he said in the beginning. When asked why he lied at first, he says it was to protect Carolina Olivares, who is also innocent and was also used by Ivan and RP.
The judge suspends the audience but is planning to summon Ivan and Carolina. Both Sebastian and Jorge Latorre make their statements basically begging the judge to not call Carolina now. She is performing a critical diplomatic job for the Colombian coffee in Europe at the OIC conference. The judge will study the issue regarding Carolina Olivares. Jorge is satisfied with that.
Sebastian urges Jorge to convince Marcia to come in the next day with or without the diskettes, and drills Bernardo some before being cuffed and taken away.
Jorge tells Bernardo in front of Manuel that he is being very optimist or is lying intentionally to Manuel about his chances of coming out free from this.
Marcela drills Bernardo about this and about Cecilia in the hospital from suffering from the situation that Ivan and him have created in the family.
Mar: Es que no vale ni la pena hablar con EL. Pues Si no le da remordimiento mandar su primo a la carcel, muchisimo menos a ese pobre diablo, o si? Como dice Seb. EL vino a cerciorarse de que la culpa cayera sobre su primo y sobre su asistente! Para luego ir a decirle a Ivan que todo salio perfectamente! o no?. Mejor vamos! Ah! Una ultima cosa. Te voy a pedir un favor, Bernardo. Que ni Ud ni su hermano se acerquen por la clinica, sabe? Porque es bastante desagradable verlos en plan de buitres a ver si la abuela se muere o no! Ya bastante hicieron con mandarla a la clinica! Y no se preocupen porque si se muere yo voy a ser la primera en contarle y decirle que hizo perfectamente su trabajo! (Bernardo stays there totally devastated and depressed)

I summarized the last six episodes in a nutshell... only posting the actual dialogues from the scenes that were the most important or key of the set. Such as Lucia and Lucrecia's confrontation in telling each other like it is... and Cecilia's realization of the sad and painful truth of her family falling apart due to Ivan's machiavellic ways...

Thus, I will be taking it easier in the next set of episodes, getting

every important dialogue. But for the sake of not being too repetitive, things that are redundant or will be repeated word by word in the hearing, I will postpone posting them until they are said in the hearing... which is the most interesting trial I have watched in novelas yet... because of all the internal conflicts some of the characters work through during it.

UNA HISTORIA QUE LE QUIERO PRESENTAR A GUY ECKER

Escribo muy respetuosamente, para solicitarles una ayuda. Veo que Guy Ecker les ha contestado, por lo que deduzco que de cierta forma, se mantienen en contacto con él. Dice estar en busca del “proyecto de televisión”, pues yo he escrito una novela, con una trama profundamente interesante, que sería adecuada para alguien como este actor.
El papel protagónico, resultaría ideal para él, como datos generales les podría adelantar que se trata de un hombre fuerte, envuelto en un trío amoroso, líder industrial, de acciones y decisiones rápidas, con un pasado interesante, que implicaría que él interpretara dos papeles dentro de una misma familia: El nieto y su abuelo en “flashback” cuarenta años atrás, como también su abuelo pero ya como un hombre de edad, dentro de una segunda etapa en la historia.
Mi intención es ver qué podría resultar si hago el intento de presentarle a él mi obra. Sé que puede sonar algo osado, pero creo que más se pierde al dejar de hacer la prueba; además, para alguien con su carrera, le gustaría conocer que en una parte del mundo, existe una historia diseñada para su calidad como actor. Pienso que es algo positivo para cualquier profesional de esta rama. ¿Cómo puedo contactar a Guy Ecker para presentarle mi proyecto? Ayúdenme, por favor.

Espero que algunos de estos datos te puedan ayudar.
Aunque los actores son las caras que vemos en television, ellos generalmente no son productores de sus propias novelas. (a diferencia de hollywood, donde los actores tienen mucho mas poder y control sobre las peliculas que hacen y se les gusta la historia pueden hacerla con sus propias productoras).

En toda America hay muchas productoras de novelas y lo que debes hacer es contactarte con esas compañias y averiguar como es su proceso para evaluar a nuevos escritores y entonces presentar tu material.

Es una industria gigante con infinidad de posibilades, solamente tienes que hacer un poco de investigacion para contactarte con los profesionales, productores y programadores que pueden ayudarte.

Gracias por responderme con consejos, estoy consciente de todo lo que me recomendaron, también puse una nota en el sitio oficial, como me indicaron. Ahí no tienen una dirección de e-mail, está por definirse, pero dejé un mensaje en el foro de español.
Mi intención no es molestar, ni importunar, sólo estoy haciendo la lucha y buscando información por todas partes. Se me ocurrió hacer esto, agradezco su apoyo.
Sólo les pido que si alguien entre ustedes los miembros de este foro, conocen a una persona del equipo que trabaja con Guy Ecker, alguien de su familia, lo que sea; díganle que le dejé un mensaje en el foro de su página.

Guy! what a happy surprise! I never watched Las Vegas until I heard you would be on and now I love that show! And what a happy surprise to see you on the crossover episode, even if only briefly.
Thank you so much for always being so gracious with your fans.

I know we are all looking forward to seeing you in more productions, whether in the American Market or the Latin one.
Just remember to keep going and when you hear a no, it's just a no for that day, not forever. Eventually there will be a yes and then a whole river of yesses!!!

They recently interviewed the cast of Oceans 12 and all of them talked about how much rejection they had to endure before their careers became what we know now. And boy did they all have to act in some duds. I think George Clooney was in something like Attack of the Killer Tomatoes or something crazy like that. And he joked that the producers TURNED DOWN Brad Pitt for the part. Can you imagine losing Attack of the Killer Tomatoes!?!?!?! I don't know which is worse, losing the part or GETTING it! hahahaha!!!!

I hope you get a whole slew of guest starring roles this season....hmmm transporting myself to my tv fantasy world....

Guy on the West Wing .... special aide to one of the presidential candidates....
Guy on ER ....worried husband of lady on operating table (so he has more lines!)
Guy on Judging Amy (because it's one of my favorite shows) as one of the attorneys arguing a really cool case (again, lots of dialogue!!!)
Hmmm Guy on Desperate Housewives....hmmmm as Eva Longoria's former manager when she was a model.....now that would be juicy.....all the girls could wonder who the new GUY in town is!!!! hahaha I COULDN'T resist!

I am able to watch Las Vegas via satellite but I never sit still long enough to watch through! I always seem to come in at the violent points. ( I hope it does not have a high body count). The thing is that I never see or read any mention of Guy. So is he a guest star? a minor character, or what? Are you watching a different Las Vegas?

He's a minor character

Guy plays Detective Luis Pérez -- last year he appeared in 8 episodes; this year he has only appeared in one (and he's filmed a second one which has yet to air). To be honest, I only tune in when I know Guy will be on -- otherwise, I skip "Las Vegas". I know many people do the same, so I try to post a message when I become aware that Guy will be appearing in an episode -- that way the fans that don't normally watch the show will have a better chance of not missing it.

So check this forum on a weekly basis -- I'll post a message when I know Guy will be on.

Cafe con Aroma de Mujer.. Eps 140-145 Part VII

Sebastian is telling the DA that Carolina is at this time leaving for Europe in a very important diplomatic mission for Colombian coffee, that she had no involvement in the activities of Reynaldo Perez after the coffee got to the port. He admits there was a relationship between them one time, but their relationship at CafeExport was purely business related.
DA warns Sebastian that if he is intentionally hiding or protecting anyone, he can be convicted of other felonies. DA asks for confirmation that Sebastian is the only one responsible for the EF, Seb confirms.

Seb is locked in jail as Gaviota is stepping on plane and they close the corresponding doors behind them... (very nice touch on the producers side, both Gav and Seb look just as miserable)

Miguel plays a trick on Lucia with the help of the hotel receptionist, making her believe he just got a job with a friend... Miguel tells Lucia he has to bring some money (LOL) and she cannot come with him. He grabs a big stack of money and puts it in his pocket, Lucia grabs it back and gives him only a few bills, telling him that is all they have left...

Jorge visits Seb at his jail cell... there is only a school student type chair and his couch... JL tells Seb he was really hard on himself, but very convincing.

Jorge asks Seb why did he mention RP, Seb says they will look for him and maybe if they find him he will talk. JL says don't bet on it, Ivan must have him well hidden.

Seb hopes that by the time the trial begins Jorge will have found RP or some evidence to prove his innocence. Jorge says otherwise we can always change the declaration when the time comes.

Seb wants Jorge to warn Ivan that if he affects Gaviota in any way, he will change the story and will retract the fact that he is blaming himself.

Ivan is talking to his lawyer. Asks him why they didn't call CO. Ivan wants the lawyer to try and get the DA to unlock the money of the company and his personal accounts as soon as possible. Lawyer says it might not be possible until the trial is over.

At the Naviera office, Manuel, Bernardo's significant other and business partner, got a citation to give a declaration. Manuel is very scared... Bernardo tells him Ivan's lawyers will take care of the whole thing, nothing will happen to you... (yeah right!)

Ivan tells lawyer to press the DA to have the trial happen and finish as soon as possible. Ivan also wants to sue Sebastian for document falsification and everything he can think of.

Lawyer says if Sebastian changes his story, the investigation can turn toward Ivan. Ivan asks what do we need to do to protect me from that. Lawyer says show a balanced budget of all the monetary transactions. Ivan is about to ask Margarita to get all his account info, but remembers she is close to Seb, so he tells her she can go when she wants to, dont wait the 30 days if you don't feel like it. (he does not trust her to do the account info gathering without her tattle-telling Sebastian or Jorge Latorre about Ivan's moves)

Jorge meets up with Marcela at Cecilia's. Jorge tells Marcela where they need to begin digging to find evidence, including using Margarita to get any info related to Ivan that could end up helpful to them. Marcela is heading to CE to talk to Margarita. Jorge goes with her to give Ivan Sebastian's message/warning about leaving Carolina alone.

Miguel enters a restaurant where, apparently, he used to charge his tab to a friend's credit card. Butler tells him his friend is not allowing that anymore. Miguel gets offended. Suddenly Miguel spots a nice looking lady, the restaurant butler tells him about her, and who she hangs out with... Miguel sees green and charges... uses his best charm to sit with her...

Ivan tells Francisco Seb pled guilty, Francisco is in disbelief. Bernardo arrives, is totally taken by surprise when Ivan relays the same news to him... of course Ivan made it sound like Sebastian was guilty all along and the scene they had at CE the day before was just fake.

Marcela arrives, 'you must be happy now'. Ivan scolds her and tells her Seb is in jail because he is guilty... now all the assetts of the company are frozen and its his fault.
Marcela's turn! Marcela tells Francisco you are too blind or leaning to protect your own children... Bernardo claims he is innocent... Marcela says why are u so nervous then?
Marcela warns Ivan that Sebastian pled guilty to protect Gaviota. Ivan is still relying on the Assoc themselves going to get Gaviota themselves so he does not have to do anything.

Meanwhile Jorge was talking to Margarita and she agreed to try to get the accounts info of Ivan's to them if possible before she leaves that job...
Marcela tells Jorge she is afraid Ivan is right, the Assoc could summon Gaviota on this.

Avellaneda in his office is meeting with his investigator. The guy tells Avellaneda that Seb pled guilty. Avellaneda is shocked... Guy tells him Seb exhonerated Gaviota in his testimony. Ave can't believe Seb and Carolina are in the middle of this mess... She will have to come back here to explain what happened. Ave has secretary call Cecilia's house.
Ave notices Cecilia does not know anything, but feels obligated to tell her. Avellaneda does not want to tell her Seb is in jail but she figures it out from his silence.
She will have a family meeting and wants to see him at Assoc tomorrow. He agrees, as long as she comes alone, not with Ivan or Francisco.
It is pretty ironic and symbolic that the only family member around when Cecilia receives this blow is Harold... he is very tender and concerned about her mood since she hung up.
Meanwhile at Ce, Ivan and Francisco are arguing very loudly. Cecilia calls Francisco at CE, wants the whole family at the house RIGHT NOW!! Ivan tries to have Francisco excuse him from the family meeting, Francisco says no way, you are coming... we are talking about Sebastian, your cousin and my nephew, part of the family!! Francisco leaves. Bernardo whines to Ivan, this is all your fault. warns Ivan that Sebastian will retract his testimony.
We can't leave Sebastian in this mess... Ivan says yes we will help him but only after we unlock the funds of the business... Ber is also worried about Manuel. Ivan says don't worry, we will also protect him. tell him not to worry.
Ber asks Ivan have you thought about how the Assoc found out about the EF?? (end of ep 142) Ivan says maybe they found out by chance at the american customs office. Ber wonders of anyone wanted to accuse them and made the investigations... Ivan says only us, mom and Lucre knew about it...

Miguel is continuing his moves on that lady at the restaurant. He tells her he is separated from PV, the coffee family. do you know them? (only by paper headlines)... when she gets up to make a phone call, he picks up her sunglasses and checks the brand name out, impressing!

Marcela and Jorge arrive at the house and Harold warns them that Cec received bad news and is very altered. Cecilia asks for a full explanation.

Manuel is at CE talking to Ivan's lawyer. Lawyer tells Manuel that he has to say his lower employees tricked/deceived him. Manuel is not so convinced that he can play the 'my word against theirs' game. they don't deserve it. Ivan says chose between your neck or theirs.

Lucrecia arrives, Ivan tells her what's up with Sebastian, come with me to abuela's. Lucrecia talks with Ivan about the baby, Ivan says don't count on the baby being born in this country, as soon as the funds are unlocked we will leave.

Marcela and Jorge tell Cecilia they trust Sebastian and Gaviota, especially Sebastian, of being innocent in all this. Jorge has managed all income of Sebastian's, and there is not one penny unaccounted for. Cec says she knows Seb, but she also knows Ivan, cannot believe they are trying to harm each other legally like this. Cecilia tells Jorge she wants to see Seb. (Seb had told Jorge he did not want Cec to come see him there) but Jorge has no choice.
Meanwhile we see Seb in his cell devastated.

Back to Restaurant and Miguel's job on this lady... (this woman sounds just as deceiving as him... lets see what happens) Miguel reaches with his friend's credit card to butler, but butler just stares at him seriously, so Miguel has no choice but to pay with the cash he has.
Lady gives Miguel her card and tells him to call her. Once Miguel leaves she makes another phone call. turns out she was borrowing a friend's driver (she is not the rich one) and she owes her friend lots of money like Miguel owes several of his 'friends'... lol she tells her friend she just landed MATyC... yes!! PV's husband!! (LOL!!)

Whole V family (- Seb and Ber) are in Cec's living room. Ivan gives Cec his own side of the story, blaming Seb and CO as the ugly ducklings. HE certainly caused us a problem, left us broke... Cec does not understand. when you fired Caro, she ended up in the street. ALso Seb has worked hard to get credit to save his farm... does that make any sense to you?
Ivan says that is all part of the deception. Ivan tells Cec she knows nothing about the 'mundo de los negocios'... Marcela mocks Ivan saying no, Cec has never seen the blurry side of the business that Ivan frequently resorts to... lol
Cec scolds everyone... noone will harm Seb anymore than he is already in trouble. We will find the way to support him anyway we can! If Octavio lived, he would be offended at seeing this. Thank God he is dead. Angela says you are talking like you are blaming us!
Cec: Quiero advertirle una cosa Ivan. Yo voy a investigar esto hasta el fondo. Si resulta que Sebastian es culpable, yo lo voy a aceptar con mucho dolor! Pero tambien tengo que reconocer que fue honesto al aceptar su culpa. Pero quiero advertirle algo, Ivan! Si la investigacion descubro que Usted esta detras de todo esto, no lo voy a perdonar jamas!! Lucre: No, pero si aqui todo esta muy claro! Todas las pruebas estan inculpando a Sebastian! Hasta EL mismo lo reconocio! Pero el unico culpable quien es?? Ivan!! La empresa esta paralizada!! Los capitales estan todos congelados!! Estamos al borde de la quiebra, todo por culpa de Sebastian!! Pero no!! quien es el culpable?? Ivan!! No, estoy impresionada con tu imparcialidad, Cecilia! Mejor dicho, no tenemos nada de que hablar! (to Ivan) nos vamos?

(Lucia and little Ricardo, now about two, alone. Miguel arrives, took very long. Lies to Lucia about getting the job... have to go to lunch with them again tomorrow to meet the customers... Lucia is not biting yet... he had given Paula a similar story... he tells her the job would give him 10K$ a month plus apt and car lol but they have to move to a 5 star hotel because he has to give them his address and cannot use the address of this rathole...)

(Cec gets call from Jorge, yes she will go see Seb, Marcela warns her Seb will be sad to see her there...)

(Ivan gets to the office, tells Margarita this is her last day in the office, will pay her for whole month but wants her to pack and go, but in front of her he yells at the accountant that he needs that report at 11am... Margarita tells the accountant she needs to make a copy of that report for the files... accountant is very reluctant because this is very confidential info... but ok will give you a copy)

S: Jorge! Pense que habiamos acordado en que ella no se enteraria! Abuela, que haces aqui??
C: No es culpa de nadie, mijito. Me entere y eso es todo (Jorge tells him Ave called her, he is also surprised you pled guilty, Seb helps Cec sit) Gracias, mijito.
S: Abuela! Tienes que entender que.. esto es una celada que Ivan me tendio!!! Tu me conoces muy bien! Yo... seria incapaz de hacer algo asi!!... Ademas, yo pretendo comprobar mi inocencia. Abuela, yo no queria que te enteraras de todo esto. Estoy tan confiado en lo que podemos hacer que... siento que voy a salir de aqui muy rapido! Y yo tenia la ilusion de... pues, nos veriamos muy pronto, cuando yo saliera, y que ni siquiera sospecharias nada.
C: Si, mijito, yo se que todo esto se va a aclarar.
S: Me alegra saber que estas de mi lado.
C: Mijito, yo estoy del lado de la familia. El hecho de creerle a Usted no quiere decir que yo le desee todo el mal del mundo a Ivan!! Es que EL tambien es mi nieto, mijito! Lo que pasa es que quiero que todo esto se aclare cuanto antes! Aunque yo se que Ivan esta muy seguro y muy firme en todas sus afirmaciones!
J: Anoche hubo una reunion en la casa de la familia. Ivan sostiene que tu te aprovechaste de EL. Dice que por eso te inculpaste. Lo anda diciendo a los cuatro vientos.
C: Sebastian! Porque?... (Seb looks at her in disbelief) Porque arriesgar su vida de esta manera?
S: Es obvio que es por Gaviota, abuela. Yo pense que te habian dicho.
C: Si, si. Lo dijeron. Pero mi pregunta es esta, mijo. Vale la pena arriesgar la vida asi por ella? Esta asi tan seguro de su inocencia??
S: Por Dios, Abuela!! Totalmente seguro!! Y no es justo que ella pague por los delitos de Ivan!! Es mas! Tu misma dijiste que la familia le ha causado demasiado dano. ... Abuela... si crees en mi, deberas creer en Gav.
C: Si, mijo. Pero es que me pregunto esto. Si ella lo ama como dice amarlo, porque no se quedo aqui con usted?? Asi hubiera ido a parar ella tambien a una carcel! Hubiera sido menos doloroso para Usted, no le parece?? O es que no estamos hablando de la misma mujer??
S: Claro que si, Abuela. Ella se habria quedado! Yo lo se!! No creas que fue facil... hacer que se fuera, abuela!! Es mas!! En este momento ella debe estarme odiando por no haberle dicho la verdad!! Pero es que... ese sacrificio no habria valido la pena, abuela! Yo se lo que estoy haciendo ah? Entiendeme. Aunque... yo se que las cosas se van a complicar ahora en la Asociacion porque... Avellaneda debe estar enterado en detalle de todo lo que paso y... no tardara en llamarla para hacerla regresar y ... responder por todo esto...
C: Yo voy a hablar esta tarde con RA en su oficina! Jorge me va a companar...
S: Abuela... te pido por favor... no permitas que A sospeche de Gav! Eso le arruinaria la carrera!!
C: Sebastian!... Por lo que mas quiera, mijo! No me pidas que yo tambien guarde silencio, si??
S: Pues entonces tendran que explicarle la situacion tal como es!! Porque... No podemos echar todo por la borda en estos momentos, Jorge!! (to Jorge) Tu sabes perfectamente que despues de la indagatoria con ese fiscal... va a ser muy dificil aclarar el caso. Asi traigan a la Gaviota... eso seria inutil para mi... y un drama para ella porque perderia su cargo!! Ustedes no pueden dejar que A dude de ella! O es que... creen que si la trajeran de Londres ayudaria en algo? Yo quedaria en libertad?? (J: NO!) Eso demostraria nuestra inocencia? (J nods no) Entonces, abuela,... te lo suplico por favor. No hagas inutil este sacrificio... Tendremos que seguir con las cosas tal y como las planeamos... Todo saldra bien...

(Jorge tells Seb Manuel is doing his declaration today... )
S:Jorge, quedate al pendiente de ella, por favor,... y habla con Ave...

(Margarita is being scolded by Ivan about that report he is expecting from accountant... but she very smartly safeguards the copy when the accountant nervously shows up and gives the original to Ivan... The lawyer and Ivan look over the report... there are many money movements that are not properly justified...)

(Miguel and Lucia arrive at a 5 star hotel... 'ah esto si es hotel!! Esto si es cama!!' ... Lucia warns him that they won't order room service, will eat at cheap restaurants... again Miguel fakes a phone conversation with his 'friend' so he can walk out the door again... this means the plans they had to eat together are again broken... again asks her for money...)

(Ivan is planning strategy with lawyer, the bankers at US won't just take an appology, but that Sebastian will have to respond for with his hacienda, we can negotiate that later... Manuel is bringing Bernardo up to date with his testimony and the questions the DA asked him... it will be hard for them to believe that Bernardo had nothing to do with it... this is only the beginning, and my signatures are there, no matter what we all do... .. end of ep 143)

(Cec and Jorge visit Avellaneda... Cec explains to him that Jorge is more aware of the situation than her, and he has been the family lawyer and accountant for many years... Avellaneda is very dissappointed... he has a big problem with Gaviota, seems she is involved with all this... called London but have not spoken to her yet... why do you ask?)
C: Roberto, quiero ser muy sincera contigo. Despues que hablamos tu y yo por telefono, reuni a toda la familia. Escuche a Ivan, a Francisco... y acabo de hablar con Seb en la carcel.
Ave: A ver. Antes de entrar en materia quiero aclararte algo. No vas a hablar con el Pres de la ANC. Vas a hablar con RA, tu gran amigo. Asi que despues de esta conversation, no esperes un pronunciamiento nuestro. Ni esperes que yo abogue por la familia... en lo mas minimo. En eso fui muy claro con Francisco. Lo que esta sucediendo es muy grave. Y ahi no cuenta para nada la amistad.
C: Lo se, R. Y como tu dices, vine a hablar con mi amigo. Vine para que conocieras la realidad de las cosas, y a solicitarte un consejo. Solo te pido que me escuches.
A: Te Escucho.
C: Yo fui la primera sorprendida cuando me entere que Seb habia aceptado que El habia cometido un delito. Yo conozco a Seb. Y se que EL no haria algo asi. Pero lo entendi, cuando supe que EL se echo toda la culpa para proteger a CO.
A: Como??
J: Permitame y le explico. Yo tambien voy a ser absolutamente franco con Usted. Usted sabe que yo manejo los bienes de Seb desde hace 2 anos que regreso a Colombia yo he sido su asesor, y mantenemos una relacion muy familiar. Por eso, puedo hablarle con mucho detalle sobre la historia de Sebastian, y tambien de Carolina. Yo estaba alli hace 2 anos cuando tuvo la pesima idea de aceptar la gerencia de CE, pero lo hizo porque Ivan iba a tomar las riendas de su tostadora en los EU.
A: Claro, eso lo recuerdo perfectamente.
J: Sin embargo, las exportaciones no eran el fuerte de Seb. Estaba a penas aprendiendo. Carolina lo asesoro en el manejo de la empresa pero ella tampoco se encargaba de las exportaciones. En realidad, Ivan dejo encargado de las exportaciones a RP. Ivan daba las ordenes, S y C firmaban. Esa fue la epoca en que se rumoro que CE estaba haciendo EF. Se decia que I necesitaba mucho dinero para su tostadora. Que por eso se habia acogido a esta figura ilegal.
A: Bueno, si eso es asi, EL va a tener que justificar todo ese capital ante la justicia.
(Ivan and lawyer are discussing how to justify the money movements... lawyer says there are some movements here hard to justify)
J: Cuando Seb se dio cuenta de que le tomaria algun tiempo salir de su problema, que EL y Caro tendrian que pagar por algo que no cometieron, y que eso ademas afectaria el futuro de Carolina, Sebastian prefirio inculparse ante la fiscalia y confeso toda suerte de atrocidades... pero no permitio en ningun momento que la tocaran a ella y se hundio con su declaracion.
A: Asi que EL piensa pagar por Ivan! (disgusted. angry)
C: Roberto, no quiero que lo que voy a decirte, lo tomes como una acusacion formal en contra de I. En el fondo, tengo la esperanza de que I no ha intervenido en esto, y que a lo mejor El tambien fue manipulado por ese abogado que consiguio.
A: Bueno, yo tambien quisiera creer eso. De todas maneras la situacion de Seb es muy grave. Que piensan hacer?
J: Pues... demostrar de aqui a la audiencia la inocencia de Seb, y definitivamente dejar en limpio el nombre de CO.
A: Un momento. En que intervengo yo aqui? QUe es lo que me proponen?
C: No, R. Un momento, por favor, no nos malentiendas. No vinimos para decirte que es lo que tienes o debes hacer. No, Tu estas en tu completo derecho de tomar la decision que quieras. Ahora, si tu crees conveniente que C venga, ya eso es cosa tuya.
J: Pero seria inutil. La fiscalia no encontro merito para llamarla. Ademas, Seb espera que muy pronto podamos resolver todo esto sin perjudicarla a ella.
C: Roberto, yo no estoy de acuerdo con la forma en que actuo Seb. No, pero entendi sus razones. Y ya es demasiado tarde para arreglar todo lo que El dijo en la fiscalia. Entonces, yo creo que hacer venir a CO no remedia en nada las cosas.
A: Pero Seb porque no hablo con ella?? Porque no le conto todo??
J: Porque si le hubiera contado, ella no se hubiera ido! Ella no lo hubiera dejado solo! Hubiera renunciado a su cargo y se hubiera quedado a su lado.
A: Ahora entiendo. Ustedes quieren que yo tambien guarde silencio.
C: NO!! Eso es lo que quiere Seb! Porque El sabe que si Caro llega a enterarse de algo, no le va a importar ni la OIC, ni Londres ni nada! Va a venirse inmediatamente de nuevo para Colombia!! Bueno, QUe te digo si tu la conoces!! Tu la trajiste!!
A: Claro que yo la conozco!! Claro que yo la traje!! Y para nadie es un secreto todo el apoyo que le brindo el gremio cafetero entero! Sobre todo el apoyo profesional! Caro manejo presupuestos muy grandes del depto de RP. Ejecuto contratos bajo su criterio de la Asoc. Y durante esa epoca, no hubo ni la menor sospecha! Ni la menor queja! Ni la menor prueba contra ella de nada. Asi que me parece sorprendente... una persona que estuviera metida en un lio como este... donde hay tanto dinero de por medio, en ningun momento iba a venir aqui a la Asoc en las condiciones en que ella vino... a pedirme empleo casi de rodillas si lo quieren decir asi... inclusive tuvimos que pagar algunas cuotas de apartamento del arriendo del apartamento de ella. Le dimos adelantos y no los uso en ella para nada. Solamente pensaba en su madre.
C: Ves? Esa es Caro.
A: Claro!. Ahora.. traerla a ella ahora aqui seria un lio muy grave! No solamente por el trabajo que esta haciendo en Londres, que es indispensable para nosotros, sino porque imaginan el escandalo que se armaria?
C: Ese es otro punto que queria tocar contigo, Roberto! Escuchame. Te suplico como mi amigo que eres, que no dejes salir a la publicidad todo este asunto hasta que no se aclare perfectamente.
A: No, no te preocupes. Eso no tienes que decirlo. No tengo ningun interes en que esto se ventile frente a la prensa. Por el contrario lo vamos a manejar con la prudencia con que lo hemos manejado hasta ahora. Aunque ya hay ciertas preguntas sobre lo que paso con esa empresa. Bueno, y mientras no haya un fallo de la fiscalia, la Asociacion no dira una sola palabra al respecto. Pero una cosa te advierto. Cuando ese fallo se produzca, esto va a salir a la luz publica.
C: Te entiendo, R.
A: Bueno. Pero una cosa. Pongamonos de acuerdo. No voy a molestar para nada a Caro. A menos que lo exija la fiscalia. Entonces la hare venir.
C: Si. Si, estoy de acuerdo Roberto. Y te agradezco mucho que nos hayas escuchado.
A: Y algo mas. Conozco perfectamente bien a SV. Estoy casi seguro de que EL no tiene nada que ver en esto. Asi que no voy a permanecer con los brazos cruzados. Voy a trabajar para que esto se aclare y se resuelva!
C: Gracias, R.
A: Y otra cosa. Por lo que me conto el Dr Latorre, y por las informaciones que tenemos aqui, parece que el responsable de todo esto es I. Asi que cuando toquemos el fondo del asunto, nos vamos a encontrar con EL, Cec. (JL is smiling satisfied)
C: Pido a Dios que no sea cierto, R. Pero si lo dices, porque claro! soy la abuela de ambos, quiero dejar muy claro una cosa. Yo estoy dispuesta a aceptar lo que venga. Si Seb resulta ser culpable, con todo el dolor de mi alma, lo tengo que aceptar. Pero si llegando al fondo de las cosas, veo que I tiene las manos metidas en esto, te juro que no lo voy a proteger.

(Miguel continues to woo this woman...)

(Harold is making some kind of smoking witch ceremony at Cec's house lol)

(Ivan's lawyer asks Ivan if he knows anyone who could be aware of this whole situation... Ivan says noone knows... all of a sudden Ivan remembers the diskettes Marcia has... he gets very upset... lawyer gets concerned...)

(At Avellaneda's office, he receives a call from Dr Carlos Fontalvo, Marcia's dad, Avellaneda summons him to his office the next day)

(Ivan is yelling at his new secretary to locate Marcia Fontalvo... he is really angry. Lawyer asks him what else could Marcia represent against him... Ivan says you never know with a resented woman left almost at the foot of the altar...)

(Margarita calls Marcela with the good news... Jorge will go to Margarita's apt to pick the report up. Jorge, Marcela and Harold are happy, but Cec can hardly feel good for it... Jorge understands her reluctance to celebrate and explains to Marcela and Harold)

(Miguel is still with that woman... she calls her friend again to arrange if she has to bring Miguel up to the apt, her friend will play a house guest... lol she is more deceiving than Mig)

(The secretary cannot find Marcia anywhere... Ivan hopes Marcia will not make an appearance)

(Jorge tells Marcela that Sebastian might be stripped of all his assetts before the trial... Jorge is not even sure they can send Lucia the monthly stipend Sebastian was planning)

(Miguel and this lady are fooling in his car... She tells Mig she has to fly to Cartagena the next day... invites Miguel, he accepts... hmmm!!)(end of ep 144?)

(Marcela calls Paula at hacienda to warn her they can get evicted any moment now... Paula sends lots of love to Seb... Arthur arrives exhausted... Paula is concerned about him, sits on couch beside him.
A: Si no podemos vender este cafe, no se que vamos a hacer... tenemos que liquidar a los trabajadores de la finca y... ni siquiera quiero pensar que va a pasar si Sebastian va a necesitar dinero, o si a ti te faltara algo..
P: Por mi no te preocupes. Tu tienes muy mala memoria! No te acuerdas lo que haciamos en Londres cuando no tenias trabajo, cuando no estabas todavia en la OIC, y a mi no me llegaba la plata de mi familia?
A: Aguantar y pedir por todas partes! no?...
P: Bueno, pero que era lo mas importante?
A: Que... estabamos juntos. No habia nada mas importante.
P: Pues tu y yo estamos juntos... y eso es lo importante... (kissing/necking)...
A: Paula... yo... no me atrevia a decirte nada ... yo no se si todavia quieres a... miguel...
P: Ja!... Arthur... lo de Miguel ya se acabo... mira, a pesar de todos los problemas que he tenido... estoy feliz... de haberme librado de El... y feliz de estar contigo... esa maldicion es para Lucia...
(kissing down to couch... AND THEN SOME!)

(Lucia is in apt again alone waiting late, Miguel tiptoes in, but she is fully awake... he must be tired, she is sarcastic... she expects him to be able to get an advance on his new job... he spent most of the money he took, which was more than she had given him the time before... he doesn't have much left, she will go with him tomorrow... he protests... she looks at him in disbelief...)

(Seb is in his couch at jail, looking at the necklace from SA)

(Next morning, Jorge arrives at Cecilia's... Marcela is worried... Cecilia does not want to eat... Jorge says you have to try to get her to eat, this whole issue will take lots of time to resolve...)

(Miguel's new friend calls, Lucia answers even though Miguel said he would answer... Lucia gets suspicious... she wants to go with Miguel to meet with the customers... Lucia goes to shower to get ready. Miguel moves quickly, takes his stuff, most of the money, leaving her only a few bills out of the several stacks of money, and flees...)

(both Jorge and Marcela smile at the joke but Marcela is very sad...)Bueno, Marcela.. si viniste a reclamar donde estoy... lo lamento hermanita pero esto no es tan duro como te lo imaginabas... mira, ya me cambiaron a una suite, tengo televisor, una cama sencilla, y en las mananas hago ejercicio, leo todos los periodicos que me traen, los libros... y... no tengo en que gastar mi dinero... y te confieso que esto es mejor que... la vida que llevaba con Lucia. (she hugs him again)
(Jorge tells Seb Cec explained everything to Ave, he was very surprised Seb was in jail, not Ivan, seems the Assoc had info that Ivan was the one involved and not him, but Ave's position is very complicated, so what he can do is very limited. will call Caro only if DA calls for her)
(Ave is meeting with Carlos Fontalvo. Ave explains to CF that the signatures in the docs were Sebastian's and Carolina's.)
CF: En las conversaciones que escucho mi hija Marcia en Miami, JAMAS aparecio para nada el nombre de CO. (Marcia) me decia que cuando llego Lucrecia, entonces comenzo a pelear con Ivan, y le gritaba que tendria que ir a la carcel, por el crimen que cometio con la empresa, con la familia... y con el primo!... Dime, cuantos primos tiene Ivan??
A: Uno solo!
CF: Ahi hay alguna trampa.
A: Si, claro, ahi hay una trampa. Pero esa trampa tiene en la carcel a una persona inocente. Y a lo mejor tengo que traer a Carolina de Londres.
CF: No, Roberto. Tu no puedes permitir que pase eso. Porque Marcia en esas conversaciones que escucho, si oyo mencionar el nombre del hermano de Ivan, el que maneja la Naviera. Y ese si esta complicado.
A: Bernardo Vallejo.
CF: Claro.
A: C mira, dejame que te explique algo. Sebastian se echo toda la culpa para proteger a CO. No quiere que la comprometieran a ella. Pero al hacerlo, se hundio! Se echo toda el agua sucia encima! Y le dejo abierto todo el camino a Ivan! Entiendes? bueno, ahora los abogados estan tratando de reunir pruebas para demostrar su inocencia antes de que comience el juicio. Y en eso yo voy a intervenir. Y voy a ayudar. Asi que necesito algo de ti, C. La intervencion de tu hija en este momento es muy importante. Necesitamos que declare.
C:Ay, R, Pero es que volvemos al mismo punto. La gente va a pensar que la declaracion de Marcia es la declaracion de una mujer enganada. Y entonces, no van a creer en ella. Ademas, recuerda otra cosa. Como ya estan reconciliados I y su mujer, y no hay testigos de todo lo que paso en Miami, Lucrecia no va a confirmar lo que diga mi hija! De ninguna manera!

(Carlos remembers the diskettes... might not be interesting... )
A: A ver, dilo!
C: Cuando M estaba alla en Miami, en esa epoca I manejaba todo lo de bolsa en computadoras, alla en su casa. Y marcia, como mujer desenganada al fin y al cabo, tal vez cometio una torpeza, pero ella le arrebato la informacion a Ivan.
A: La borro???
C: Bueno, si la borro! pero antes la copio a diskettes! (BINGO!!)
A: Y donde estan esos diskettes?? (now with lots of urgency and interest)
C: No se, con Marcia! ... Mira, ella me los trajo a mi oficina, para que yo los revisara. Y efectivamente, yo los vi, pero toda esa informacion estaba cifrada, entonces...
A: Esos diskettes tienen que aparecer. Me parece que de aqui en adelante, van a ser definitivos, sabes?
C: Pues si, si contienen alguna informacion, realmente sirvan, pero como consigo a Marcia? no se donde localizarla.

Y le dejo abierto todo el camino a Ivan! Entiendes? bueno, ahora los abogados estan tratando de reunir pruebas para demostrar su inocencia antes de que comience el juicio. Y en eso yo voy a intervenir. Y voy a ayudar. Asi que necesito algo de ti, C. La intervencion de tu hija en este momento es muy importante. Necesitamos que declare.
C:Ay, R, Pero es que volvemos al mismo punto. La gente va a pensar que la declaracion de Marcia es la declaracion de una mujer enganada. Y entonces, no van a creer en ella. Ademas, recuerda otra cosa. Como ya estan reconciliados I y su mujer, y no hay testigos de todo lo que paso en Miami, Lucrecia no va a confirmar lo que diga mi hija! De ninguna manera!
(Also, Marcia is away in the far east, and won't be back for another 20 days or so)
(Carlos remembers the diskettes... might not be interesting... )
A: A ver, dilo!
C: Cuando M estaba alla en Miami, en esa epoca I manejaba todo lo de bolsa en computadoras, alla en su casa. Y marcia, como mujer desenganada al fin y al cabo, tal vez cometio una torpeza, pero ella le arrebato la informacion a Ivan.
A: La borro???
C: Bueno, si la borro! pero antes la copio a diskettes! (BINGO!!)
A: Y donde estan esos diskettes?? (now with lots of urgency and interest)
C: No se, con Marcia! ... Mira, ella me los trajo a mi oficina, para que yo los revisara. Y efectivamente, yo los vi, pero toda esa informacion estaba cifrada, entonces...
A: Esos diskettes tienen que aparecer. Me parece que de aqui en adelante, van a ser definitivos, sabes?
C: Pues si, si contienen alguna informacion, realmente sirvan, pero como consigo a Marcia? no se donde localizarla.

(Jorge tells Seb Manuel said he was innocent, Seb wonders if that is it for the Naviera in this whole mess, but Jorge tells him this is not the end of the issue with the Naviera, 'ellos tienen un boquete muy grande que tapar'...)

(Lucia comes out of the shower, all dressed up to go to the meeting with the customers... surprise!! Miguel is gone! suitcase, most of the money and everything!! Lucia gets really upset, sits down as if she is about to faint, hugs her son real tight and cries)

(Seb reprimends Jorge for not having started the monthly stipends to Lucia yet... don't rely on Miguel to support them... Seb doesn't care if they evict him but they have to respect the needs of the baby!... Jorge lets Seb know Lucia sued him for the paternity of the baby... Jorge tells Seb to let Lucia go... Seb is mad, they must be even more tight in money than me! Marcela tells Seb that all in all she thinks Paula is happy now beside Arthur, Seb smiles)

(the lawyers come to the hacienda to take over the administration of it... to begin the process of eviction...)

(Seb asks Jorge how long they have until the bankers begin processing... Jorge says not much at all... Marcela tries to ease Seb up... Paula calls Cec's house, Cec wants Paula to tell her what is going on, since Marcela and Jorge are at jail visiting Seb... Cec demands that Paula tell her the truth... Paula has to tell her they are getting evicted... they are not moving anything yet, it is an administration eviction for now...... all in all Cec is more calm than Pau)
C: Ay, Octavio... si estuvieras aca a mi lado en este momento... hoy me estas haciendo mas falta que nunca, Octavio!...)
(The visiting hours are over but Marcela and Seb beg the guard to let them talk a few more minutes... Jorge says he will go and wait for her outside...)
Mar: Seb, me quieres decir que diablos le voy a decir a la Gav cuando me llame a preguntar porque tu no estas alla?
Seb: (sits down devastated) Mar, no creo que vaya a llamar.
Mar: Pero Porque? No le habias dicho que ibas a arreglar las cosas y que despues viajabas? Seb, que le dijiste?
S: Marcela! Yo trate de convencerla!! Que tenia problemas con el banco y con el prestamo! Pero ella queria cancelar el viaje y quedarse conmigo a acompanarme al banco! No habia manera de hacer que se fuera! Tu la conoces! Es muy obstinada!
M: Y que paso? Que le dijiste??
S: Le dije que... que no estaba seguro que... queria vivir con ella y que no la amaba lo suficiente... mejor dicho, para que te digo...
M: AY... Seb que hiciste!!
S: Marcela! SI hubieras estado ahi habrias comprendido que era la unica forma de hacer que se fuera!!
M: Te das cuenta que te debe estar odiando?
S: Si... lo se.(they suffer together...)

(we get the first glimpse of Gav at London office... Roberto Ave greets Carolina over phone but does not mention anything to her... not even when she asks what's new if everything is ok...)

(Marcela is still talking to Seb... another enemy he has is time... Gav could finish not only hating him but forgetting him, and, yes, Sebastian does remember that Salinas is nearby... but Seb makes Marcela swear that she won't try to contact/call Gaviota until after the trial is over...)

(Lucia calls her mom, blames them for all the troubles she is undergoing right now...)

(Miguel meets up with his friend, they are headed for Cartagena together...)

(Jorge calls Paula, is headed for hacienda... tells Paula not to sign anything until he gets there. As Jorge is leaving, Lucia calls Cecilia's... Marc tells Lucia Seb is in jail, Lucia thinks Marc is kidding...)
Mar: Ojala todo esto fuera un juego. Ojala Seb no se hubiera metido a respaldar la deuda de su padre! Porque asi no tendriamos la hacienda embargada , y Ud podria estar aspirando a sus carros y a su apartamento, porque hasta eso esta embargado! No, Ojala que Usted no hubiera metido a la familia al maleficio de MT, porque asi la hacienda no estaria invadida de roya porque al Senor se le ocurrio vender el oxicloruro a escondidas! No, mire, ojala esto fuera un juego, pero no, es una pesadilla! Sebastian esta en la carcel gracias a su primo y en la quiebra absoluta gracias a Usted y a su amante. Asi es que si su llamado es de tipo economico, de una vez le vengo diciendo que busque en otro lado porque no tenemos un centavo! y si habla con su abogado, digale que deje de estar demandando a Sebastian, y cuentele que Usted misma se encargo de dejarlo sin un peso!! Phew!! that was a long night, but this tape is over!! two tapes plus two eps more to go!!

so!... to summarize...
who is on what team??

Poor Sebastian is totally devastated, but glad he has managed to leave Gaviota unharmed, at least for now... like he said, he 'has nothing to lose'.

Ivan, Angela and Lucrecia are the 'go all out to destroy Seb and Gav' team.

Reynaldo Perez is well hidden by Ivan out in Copacabana, with orders from Ivan to stay put there, but he is scared...

Francisco is on the 'Ivan is my son but I am not sure of anything anymore' team.

Cec is leaning toward Seb, but she needs to stay firm as neutral as possible until 'todo esto se clarifique'...

Bernardo can barely live with his guilt complex... but somehow he is afraid to go against Ivan's wishes... mostly also for not implicating his 'friend' Manuel.

Manuel is scared out of his wits... and makes it clear to Bernardo in no uncertain terms that 'you and your brother got me right smack in the middle of this mess'...

Marcela and Jorge are one team all out for Sebastian and Gaviota... with Harold as the all-star cheerleader... Paula and Arthur are trying to get it all back together and are in no position to help Seb out, although they are hoping for the best...

Avellaneda and Carlos Fontalvo are definitely forming their own team, just as much to save Sebastian as to get to the bottom of it and sink the real guilty party, whom they suspect is Ivan, and in part, also Bernardo. CF's daughter, Marcia... she heard some interesting things out there in Miami, and has those diskettes... but can she be useful if like her dad said Lucrecia would never confirm she said what she said now that she is back with Ivan?

Gaviota is as clueless as a blind bat... Salinas? boy oh boy he is now closer to Gaviota than Sebastian, maybe it will work to his advantage soon.

You have been extremely generous with your time and dedication posting dialogues of Cafe:con aroma de Mujer. This is my favorite novela and I have printed many pages of the best scenes and I have them in a binder and it reads like a book. LOL the best scenes were the airport scene and the scene where Sebastian and Carolina were jailed for causing a commotion with a policeman. Of course the love scenes, too. When I read your postings from the dialogues, I can picture it in my mind and can live it all over again. I know it can never be, but I wish it could be shown again in the U.S. It is timeless and so good. Thanks again, Marta. I don't know how you do it. Happy Thanksgiving.

you're welcome...and I just discovered a quicker way of doing them

so hopefully I will be able to knock the rest out before the xmas holidays, now I sit in front of the tv and the computer at the same time.. that is how I can summarize what is going on if I don't write the scenes word by word. Like I said, I will concentrate more on Sebastian/Marcela/Jorge and Cecilia scenes, and do less of Ivan, Marcia, Europe, Francisco, Bernardo, Manuel, etc... so I can breeze through the next tape or so... it will be a lot of Ivan badmouthing Seb to his family and to everyone he can over and over again... and the good stuff won't come until the trial so the next tape should be easy to do... just a few scenes with Seb, Marcela and Cecilia are worth writing word for word...

Cafe con Aroma de Mujer.. Eps 140-145 Part I

Carmenza gives Sebastian the message to call Marcela, she said it's urgent. Sebastian very casually, still with a smile on his face, calls Cecilia's house. He is very curious as to why the urgency and is reluctant to go to Cecilia's right now.
Marc: Es muy urgente y muy grave. Es algo que no se uede hablar por telefono. Tenemos que hablarlo personalmente.
Sebastian hangs up but before leaving Gav's apartment, arranges with her and Carmenza that he will be back later on to take them out to dinner, tells them to pick the restaurant.
Before leaving, Sebastian also makes sure Carmenza is ok with him and Gaviota being back together...
Carm: Pues es que, mire esos ojitos como le brillan! (referring to Gaviota's smile at being with Sebastian again, he is also very happy)... y Ave Maria! Ahora estoy muy contenta de que Ustedes esten juntos finalmente. Y por encima de todo lo que nos ha pasado durante estos anos, yo a Usted lo aprecio mucho, lo quiero mucho.
S: Pues si me hubiera dicho qhe me odiaba, yo lo hubiera entendido. Y ese aprecio tambien... es correspondido (with broken voice from being moved by her words)...

Sebastian arrives at Cecilia's, they are very sad/worried, so that worries him instantly... he sits in living room with Marcela and Cecilia)
Seb:Bueno! Y es asi tan grave la noticia?... Pero hablen de una vez!!... Que es lo que esta pasando??
Marc: Sebastian... nuestro querido ex-cunado Miguel Tejeiros... vendio el oxicloruro que era de la Asociacion para la finca. (light bulb goes on immediately on Sebastian's head!...ROYA!!)
Seb: Esperen un momento!... Que estan diciendo?? Que no se hicieron las expegaciones (not sure the spelling of this word, he means the spraying of the solution on the coffee plants) como se debia?? Que esos brotes... (stands up and changes to concern, smile totally erased from his face by now) no eran asi tan aislados?...
Marc: No...
Seb: Entonces... estamos invadidos de ROYA!...
Marc: Asi es, Sebastian.
Cec: Pero tranquilicese, mijo!! Alla estan Paula y Arthur! Ellos estan haciendo...
Seb: (interrupts Cec very suddenly and rudely) Abuela!! Que van a poder hacer Paula y Arthur??! Si no se hicieron las expegaciones como se debia... estamos en la ruina!! (desperate tone by now) El Prestamo! (turns to Marcela suddenly) Marcela! Que se hizo??
Marc: Sebastian... los empleados del banco llegaron cuando la Asociacion estaba declarando la finca en cuarentena!!
Seb: (deep sigh) Ahora estamos en cuarentena!! (he is very angry, Cecilia continues to try to calm him down, she wants to have a family meeting to see how they can resolve this situation, have everyone come, even Ivan and Francisco)
Seb: No, Abuela!! Entre Ivan y yo no hay nada que hablar!!!

Sebastian calls Arthur and yells at him, blaming him that he didn't watch Miguel closely enough, Arthur on the other side is also blaming himself ... if only he did this and that... Paula notices Arthur is getting yelled at and grabs the phone, telling Seb it was HER fault... but there is no satisfaction for Sebastian, he will figure something out, will leave for hacienda tomorrow morning...
Jorge Latorre arrives at Cecilia's. Sebastian asks Jorge to take steps to try and protect the loan, Jorge says it is not so easy, even offering the rest of Sebastian's assets, the bank will want more, they were really counting on the revenue of this year's crop. Also have to pay the farm workers (colectores). Marcela summons Cecilia away so Jorge can talk to Sebastian alone...
Seb: Me puedes acompanar manana a la finca?
JL: No, no puedo. Y tu tampoco podras hacer el viaje.
Seb: Porque?
JL: Marcela se llevo a tu abuela porque no queremos que se entere de lo que esta pasando. Hay problemas mas graves que lo de la finca. (Sebastian is in disbelieve, mocks Jorge's words..)
Seb: Jorge, por favor!! De que estas hablando?? Yo no puedo creer que haya algo mas... PEOR... de lo que esta pasando.
JL: Estas involucrado en un problema gravisimo en CafeExport. (and spells this out, the camera zooms in on Jorge's mouth) EXPORTACIONES FICTICIAS!...
Seb: (the camera immediately switches to Sebastian's face, which is totally frozen) Exportaciones ficticias? Jorge! Yo que tengo que ver con eso??
JL: Pues aunque no lo creas, muchisimo!. TU y Carolina Olivares... (Seb is still in disbelief)

(meanwhile, Ivan is declaring at the courthouse, tells the DA (fiscal) he had no knowledge of the events, was even out of the country, AND he was not legally responsible for CafeExport at the time... shows the shipment documents with Sebastian and Gaviota's signatures...)

JL: Son tu firma y la de Carolina las que aparecen en esos conocimientos de embarque.
Seb: Jorge! Eso es imposible! Si en ningun momento Gaviota y yo participamos en algo asi!!
JL: Yo lo se!! Pero recuerdas que hubo un momento en que sospechamos que te estaban utilizando? Lo recuerdas?
Seb: Pues si, claro!! Eso fue cuando yo mande a Gaviota a la costa! Ella se fue a Santa Marta y yo me fui a Buenaventura! Pero... no encontramos nada!
JL: Pues yo no se lo que paso pero, de hecho, se hicieron exportaciones ficticias durante tu gestion! Y tendras que responder.
Seb: Maldita sea!! Pero como pudieron hacerme esto, Jorge?? (remembers Reynaldo Perez coming in his office so he and Gaviota would sign the shipment papers without questioning anything... including the papers for the shipment that eventually caused Julian Perez's heart attach and death) Reynaldo Perez!! El Abogado de Ivan!! EL me hizo firmar varios conocimientos de embarque! (Jorge nods yes) Donde esta Ivan?? EL tendra que responder por esto!! (pacing rudely, now very angry)
JL: NO!! Ni lo suenes, Sebastian!! Ni lo suenes!! Ivan solamente quiere hundirte!! En este momento debe estar rindiendo indagatoria en la fiscalia!
(Ivan continues his testimony, each time sinking Sebastian more and more in the hole, denying knowledge of any of it. Ivan mildly blames Reynaldo Perez to the DA, but says he only knows RP left the country and does not know where to find him... Ivan continues accusing Sebastian and Gaviota. DA tells Ivan he cannot leave the country until the whole issue is resolved. Ivan offers his full cooperation but requests that this matter be resolved quickly because it is costing his business lots of money each day. Once Ivan leaves, the DA tells the secretary to prepare summon papers for Sebastian Vallejo and Carolina Olivares.)
(Gaviota and Carmenza are packing, since they still think Sebastian will go with them to London. Carmenza even packs some aguardiente and tons of stuff including the figurines of her saints that she prays to constantly, and flour to make arepas... lol)
Seb: Pues yo no voy a permitir que la involucren en esto!
JL: Sebastian! No me has entendido bien! No hay nada que hacer!! Tarde o temprano la van a llamar a declarar!
Seb: Es que van a arruinar la carrera de Gaviota!! Tu conoces a los cafeteros mejor que nadie!! Lo susceptible que son ellos!! Dios Mio!! Si llegan a enterarse que Gaviota esta enredada en algo asi, por mas inocente que sea!! No se lo van a perdonar, Jorge!!
JL: Pues es mejor que se lo adviertas! Despues de la indagatoria de Ivan, lo mas probable es que no la dejen salir del pais.
Seb: (angrier and angrier) NO!! NO y NO!! Ivan tendra que responder por esto!! Y hasta que yo no hable con EL, no pienso alarmar a Gaviota, y mucho menos pedirle que cancele su viaje!! Eso seria injusto!! (phone rings, Margarita tells Sebastian that Ivan just arrived at the office. Sebastian and Jorge are heading for CafeExport, Cecilia finds them on their way out, she is suspicious that they are hiding something from her, but Sebastian denies it, and he and Jorge make a quick exit...)

(Lucia and Miguel continue their financial difficulties, Miguel is really fed up with the 'voto de pobreza' living in crappy hotels and eating vulgar cafetin food instead of gourmet stuff... Lucia says they have no choice, her parents have it even worse so no help there. She suggests she will have to go to work... Miguel continues his skid that he cannot permit his wife to work, he will ask so and so (the amigo de turno,name is immaterial here) and he will get some money...)

(At CafeExport management office, Ivan is mocking Gaviota with Angela and Lucrecia. Bernardo is uneasy listening, wants to know how much Ivan sunk Sebastian in the mess... Francisco wants to see the testimony script, Ivan says can't, it is part of the case the DA is building...... 'EL mismo se lo busco!'... at that very moment, in comes Sebastian with Jorge Latorre... )
I: AH!! Que bien!! Por fin aparecion el PROFUGO!!
Seb: El Profugo?? (approaching Ivan very quickly, pointing finger) TU me vas a sacar de este problema!!
I: Que pasa, IMBECIL?? AH?? EL hizo con la empresa y viene aqui furioso??! No seas CINICO, Sebastian Vallejo!! El que tiene que sacarnos del problema es USTED que fue quien nos metio!! (wrong!! here comes a loud PUNCH from Sebastian right to Ivan's face, knocks him down to the floor, Bernardo grabs Sebastian quickly before he can move toward Ivan again...)
Seb: DEJENME!!! (he yelled something else that I can't figure out, sorry)
I: (standing up with difficulty, still daring Seb with tone) Muy conmovedora la escena!! Quien te lo aconsejo?? AH?? Tu Gaviota o que??
Seb: Mira, Ivan!! Ni te atrevas a pronunciar su nombre!! Y esto!.. no me sorprenderia que fuera una confabulacion de todos Ustedes!!?
Fran: Deja de hablar estupideces, Sebastian, hombre!!
Seb: (with his arms still held by Bernardo) Ustedes me cavaron la tumba cuando me ofrecieron la gerencia de esta empresa!! Me sacaron de mi hacienda!! Me pidieron que viniera a manejar esta empresa mientras este delincuente estaba en los Estados Unidos haciendo negociaciones fraudulentas!! Y no me miren asi!! Porque en esa epoca yo no entendia de exportaciones!! Yo entendia de cultivos!! Se los adverti!! Pero Ustedes me dijeron.. NO! Te ofrecemos asesoria!! Me dijeron que no me preocupara por nada de esos tramites de exportaciones! Que el secuaz de Ivan se encargaria de todo!! Y se encargo!! Claro!! Me puso un asesor!! A Reynaldo Perez!! I: No, pues sigue siendo muy conmovedor, Sebastian!! El Pobre inocente que no sabia lo que firmaba!! Tan inocente como la pobre Carolina Olivares...
Seb: No lo sabiamos!!
I: (mocking) No tenian ni idea de lo que firmaban!! Nuestra subgerente!...La pobre inexperta no tenia ni idea en materias de exportaciones, no es asi??
Seb: A Ustedes les consta!! En el acta de la junta directiva donde me nombraron gerente y a ella subgerente, aclararon que Reynaldo Perez se encargaria de todo!! Lo Unico que nosotros teniamos que hacer, claro!! era firmar!!!
I: No, muy linda la explicacion, Sebastian!! Y ojala el fiscal la crea!! Ojala el fiscal crea que Sebastian Vallejo, ampliamente conocido en el gremio cafetero por sus exportaciones de Cafe Gourmet, y Carolina Olivares, ex sub-gerente de CafeExport y ahora ejecutiva de la Asociacion Nacional de Cafeteros, no sabian nada de exportaciones de cafe!! Por DIOS!!...
Seb: Pues no lo sabiamos!! Y a Ustedes les consta!! Aunque ahora estan cerrando los ojos!! Claro!! Miren nada mas con quien estoy hablando!! Mis sepultureros!! Pues los felicito!! Aunque les advierto una cosa!! Puede que esas firmas me hundan a mi!! Pero yo les garantizo que yo me hundo arrastrandolos a todos!!

Fran: Nadie se va de aqui!! Llamamos a Reynaldo Perez!! A lo mejor EL tiene el secreto de todo esto!!
I: Ah! Pero que buena la pregunta!! Donde esta Reynaldo Perez, Sebastian??
Seb: (lower tone, sarcastic) Que bien lo tienes planeado, no, primo?? (to Francisco) Tio, ni te preocupes por preguntar por Reynaldo Perez! Porque Ivan seguramente lo tiene muy bien escondido. Y no tendria nada de extrano que ahora lo haga aparecer como mi complice! Pues muy bien, Ivan! Pero yo te voy a derrumbar ese castillo de naipes!! Porque si tu pretendes demostrar que yo hice un negocio ilicito, tambien tienes que demostrar que hice con la plata!! Y, a diferencia tuya, yo tengo mis cuentas muy claras!! Eso lo puedo demostrar centavo por centavo!! Y les va a parecer muy ridiculo que yo haya participado en un negocio de esos cuando lo que mas yo tengo son deudas!!
I: AH! Pues muy bien!! Entonces, lo que deberiamos hacer es revisar las cuentas de Carolina Olivares!! De pronto ahi encontramos capitales injustificados, no es cierto?? Tal vez los que tu mismo desviaste de tu cuenta personal para eludir sospechas!!
Seb:Por favor!! No seas tan IMBECIL!!! Que investiguen las cuentas de Gaviota!! Si ella hubiera participado en un negocio ilicito, tu crees que habria acabado en la pobreza a la que Ustedes la arrojaron cuando la despidieron de aqui?? Francisco yells at Ivan for provoking Sebastian when he arrived. Angela yells at Francisco for scolding Ivan, but Francisco points to them that Sebastian arrived calm, and Ivan calling him a 'profugo' is what set him mad... Ivan accuses Fran of being on Sebastian's side..)
Fran: Tu sabes que Sebastian tiene razon en muchas cosas!!
(Ivan says maybe, but let's hear what the lawyers have to say about all of it...

I have to note here that Francisco and Bernardo are the only ones feeling any kind of sympathy for what Sebastian is going on, even if Francisco still does not know the truth, he is the only one with any sense of justice there, with Bernardo going through a guilt complex, but keeping quiet in order to protect his 'friend' who also signed the papers because Bernardo asked him to...

(back at Cecilia's house, Seb and Jorge are talking in living room, Seb is drinking and very depressed)
Seb: Esta muy claro que EL tiene que hundirme a mi para salir de este problema. Esto es una guerra declarada!
(Sebastian plays Marcela's lead to hide the legal issue from Cecilia...)
JL: Vas a llamar a Carolina?
Seb: No, Jorge! Yo quiero que analicemos esto muy bien antes de llamarla.
JL: No hay mucho que analizar. Ustedes dos tendran que responder y lo mas probable es que tengan que ir a la carcel mientras probamos su inocencia. Si la podemos probar!, porque el caso esta muy dificil!
Seb: (stands up desperate, begins to pace back and forth behind the sofa while whinning) Pues yo no voy a llamar a la Gaviota para decirle que tiene que cancelar su viaje a Europa porque mi familia la esta mandando a la carcel!! Por Dios, Jorge!! Tiene que haber otra solucion!! Yo no puedo hacerle esto y tampoco puedo permitirlo!!
JL: Sebastian! No hay otra solucion!! Tienen que enfrentarlo!! Lo mas probable es que Ivan los haya hundido en la indagatoria! Seguramente manana mismo los esten llamando a declarar! Les dictaran medidas de aseguramiento (they will arrest you both in nicer words) y no podran salir del pais!! (pauses a moment, Seb sits down, now extremely depressed and still drinking heavily) Sebastian... ella tiene que entender. Mira, tu no la has involucrado en nada. Ambos son victimas!
Seb: Bueno, y que pasaria si manana temprano yo la llevo al aeropuerto y la monto en un avion?
JL: No! Olvidalo! Este problema no lo arreglarian saliendo del pais, si es lo que estas pensando! Ademas, a ella la sacarian de su trabajo inmediatamente y la traerian y a ti tambien! A menos que quieran huir como profugos! Y eso seria peor!!
Seb: No... Jorge, tu sabes muy bien que yo no seria capaz de eso!... Pero... que tal si yo me declaro culpable?
JL: Como? (in disbelief)
Seb: Si! Yo me declaro culpable! Digo que utilice a Gaviota, que ella es inocente... que pasaria??
JL: Sebastian, pero.. que estas diciendo? (laughs at the idea) Te enloqueciste?
Seb: No, no Jorge!! Escuchame! (stands up excited again, begins to pace as he delivers his plan) Escuchame bien porque esto lo tenemos que poner claro! Primero! En esos conocimientos de embarque aparecen nuestras firmas! Eso no podemos cuestionarlo! Segundo! Pues es un hecho que vamos a tener que responder ante la justicia! Y... seamos inocentes o culpables, eso posiblemente nos costara un carcelaso!! Mira, Jorge, los dos tendriamos que pagar por algo que no hicimos! Y asi demostremos nuestra inocencia, tu sabes muy bien que la que va a pagar por esto es Gaviota. Conoces lo delicados que son en la Asociacion Nacional de Cafeteros y jamas la perdonarian!! Si ella llega a pasar por la carcel, jamas podrian darle un cargo diplomatico en Europa!! En cambio yo... yo no tengo nada que perder, Jorge. No nos digamos mentiras. Entre la Roya, Miguel y Lucia, yo estoy en la quiebra! Tendremos que quemar todos los cafetales de la finca. Y ademas de eso, los frutales, el ganado, la produccion de cafe Gourmet, nos la embargaran toda!! Y eso que los acreedores no se van a contentar con eso! Querran mi apartamento y los otros bienes!! En conclusion, Jorge, yo no tengo nada que perder. Y ella si lo perderia todo. Yo no puedo permitir eso, Jorge. Seria muy injusto.
JL: Sebastian... Si te declaras culpable, te hundiras! Iras a la carcel directamente asi como asi! Y de alla va a ser muy dificil sacarte.
Seb: Pero tampoco es justo que los dos paguemos por esto, Jorge! No entiendes que ese cargo en Londres es su sueno dorado!! Es la cima de una carrera BRILLANTE!! No voy a dejar que se la acaben! No es necesario! Yo a ella la tengo que sacar de aqui cuanto antes!! Mira, Jorge.. yo se!! Yo se que puedo estar hundiendome mas de lo que imaginaba! Pero la tengo que sacar de aqui!!
JL: Sebastian, yo...( Seb won't let him speak)
Seb: No!! Jorge, por favor!! Ni siquiera discutas!! Mira, lo tengo muy claro. Manana temprano quiero que vayas a la fiscalia! y anuncies que pienso entregarme voluntariamente. Que no es necesario que me citen, ni mucho menos que me expidan ordenes de captura. Tambien quiero que les digas que me declarare culpable...
(End of ep 140 at the sound of 'Inquietud' sung by Margarita... 19 to go)
Seb: (continued from ep 140) Yo no quiero que ellos interfieran con la salida de Gaviota manana.
JL: Sebastian!! No puedo creer que realmente estes pensando en declararte culpable de un delito que no has cometido!
Seb: Jorge, Yo tengo entendido que... en este proceso hay dos instancias... la indagatoria...
JL: De la cual saldras derecho a la carcel!...
Seb: ... y el juicio!... donde me condenaran. Pero yo supongo que tendremos tiempo de comprobar mi inocencia... entre la indagatoria y el momento del juicio, no es asi?
JL: Si, pero es muy peligroso! Ivan estara presionando para que el tiempo entre la indagatoria y el juicio sea lo mas corto posible. Y tu aceleraras las cosas al declararte culpable! Si all llegar el momento del juicio no hemos podido probar tu inocencia, pasaras un tiempo muy largo detras de las rejas.
Seb: Eso seria terrible, Jorge, pero... yo no veo otra alternativa. Yo correre ese riesgo, pero no quiero que la toquen a ella.

(At that moment Marcela comes to living room, notices that there is something going on..., asks what is up. Sebastian does not want to tell her but Jorge says she has the right to know. After a commercial break, it seems Jorge has updated Marcela on Sebastian's plan...)
Marc: Sebastian, tu no puedes hacer eso!! (in tears, begging and at same time reprimending him)
Seb: Marcela!! Entiendelo! No vale la pena que los dos paguemos por esto!! Ella tiene que seguir adelante!!... Y yo pues... yo no tengo nada que perder. Ademas, yo no quiero ver a Ivan y a la familia teniendo la satisfaccion de vernos a los dos hundidos!! Marcela, si te estoy contando esto, es para que me apoyes!! No para que estes tratando de persuadirme!!
Marc: Es que, como tu puedes pensar que yo acepte algo asi?? Ah??
Seb: Mira! Si lo que te atormenta es lo de la carcel, es inevitable. No es asi, Jorge? (Jorge nods reluctantly) Tarde o temprano yo terminaria ahi!!
JL: Si! Pero hubiera sido en otras circumstancias!
Seb: Jorge, por favor!! Ya no lo discutamos mas!! Manana quiero que vayas a la fiscalia y entiendes muy bien lo que tienes que hacer!
JL: Un momento, Sebastian! No es tan facil. Te estas olvidando de algo. Uno no puede llegar donde el fiscal a decirle que tu te vas a entregar y que se olvide de la Senora Carolina Olivares porque tu lo pides. La fiscalia ya tiene pruebas!!
Seb: Lo se, Jorge!! Pero el planteamiento tiene que ser el siguiente. Yo era el gerente y el representante legal de la empresa en ese momento. O sea!! Toda la responsabilidad recaera sobre mi, o no?
JL: Eso es correcto. Pero de todos modos ella tendra que responder.
Seb: Como empleada! Y como empleada, ella no hacia mas que obedecer mis ordenes!
JL: Eso no ha exhime (does not exhonerate her)
Seb: Pero ella no sabia lo que estaba firmando!! Mira!! Yo simplemente le ordenaba que firmara los conocimientos de embarque y ella lo hacia porque era su deber! Su obligacion!! Pero ella no tenia conocimientos de los movimientos de cafe!! Esa informacion la manejaba yo, y solamente yo!! En otras palabras, yo la utilice!! Pero yo jamas pense que si esto llegara a estallar, que ella se veria involucrada en todo esto!!
JL: Sebastian, yo puedo decir eso y mas! Y todo lo que tu quieras!... Pero no te puedo garantizar que no la llamen a declarar, este donde este!
Seb: Pues tendremos que intentarlo, Jorge, y ese sera tu trabajo.
Marc: Bueno, todo esto suena muy bien. Suena muy convincente, la verdad! Pero... tu te has puesto a pensar en... que opina de esto la Gaviota? Tu crees que ella te va a dejar hacer esa locura?? Dime eso, Sebastian!! Porque yo la conozco perfectamente y cuando tu le cuentes lo que vas a hacer, tu crees que ella te va a decir:..' Si, tranquilo! Tu quedate y ve a la carcel que yo me voy!..' Ay, por favor!!... Ella nunca te dejaria solo ante esto, Sebastian!!
Seb: Marcela, Yo se que ella no me dejaria! Pero ella no se va a enterar de lo que esta pasando.
Marc: Ah, no se va a enterar? Y entonces como lo vas a hacer?? No que no te ibas manana con ella o que le vas a decir??!!
Seb: Mira, Marcela, yo se perfectamente lo que tengo que decirle. No te preocupes.
Marc: (back to begging tone) Sebastian, por favor! Porque no hablas con ella?? Si? Por favor, de pronto pueden solucionar algo! No se!! Se ponen de acuerdo a ver que pueden hacer! No te metas en esto, si? No hagas esta locura!...
Seb: Marcela, no hay otra salida. Gaviota no podra hacer nada diferente. Terminar en una carcel, y Jorge lo sabe muy bien. Ahora dejenme a solas un momento, yo tengo que hacer una llamada. (Jorge says he will call tomorrow to see if there is a change of plans, Seb says call if you want to, but the decision is made...)

(Seb calls Gaviota, Gaviota and Carmenza have been waiting to hear from him about going out to a restaurant together, they have also been talking about Europe and what Gaviota will have there - paid apartment, expenses, etc - and what Carmenza wants to pack to take with them... but Gaviota had already mentioned a couple of times she was worrying for not hearing from him)
Gav: Sebastian!! Ay, que hubo!! Mira, que angustia la que yo tenia!! Mira, porque no me habia llamado??
Seb: Te dije que yo tenia muchas cosas que hacer y... acabo de terminar.
Gav: Ay! Y si pudo dejar todo al dia?
Seb: Si... todo al dia. (he has a broken voice, he is really devastated and is making a superhuman effort to not let her figure out something is up or his mood)
Gav: Y si se va a poder ir con nosotras manana??
Seb:... Si...
Gav: Espere un momentico... (tells Carm he will be able to go with them, Carm very happy) Sebastian, no que mi mama esta festejando desde por la tarde!! Vea! Y Usted que entonces?? Tiene ya todo listo?? La ropa y todo??
Seb: Si. Ya tengo todo listo.
Gav: (noting his mood even though he is trying so hard to not show it) Y a Usted que me le pasa que esta todo como decaido??
Seb: No, no! Simplemente estoy cansado. Fue un dia muy largo. (TELL ME ABOUT IT!!)
Gav: No! Si yo me imagino lo cansado que debe estar! Pero entonces, esa comida de esta noche la podemos dejar para Londres!! Porque mi mama si, no le va a perdonar lo de la pedida de manos!!
Seb: Si.. Sabes, pidele que me disculpe, si?
Gav: (passes the message to Carmenza)
Car: Ah, no! Digale que tranquilo! y que yo lo perdono y que lo quiero mucho! Que es mejor que no vayamos porque yo estoy como con un tucu-tucu y todo (LOL, Gaviota relays the message back)
Gav: (gets a little sad) Y Usted se va a quedar esta noche alla donde Dona Cecilia?
Seb: (still faking tiredness) Un-huh! Si, ya me tienen una habitacion lista.
Gav: (not making things any easier for Seb) Ay, Sebastian! Usted me va a hacer tanta falta!! Yo hubiera dado lo que... fuera por pasar esta noche con Usted!...
Seb: (holding for dear life) ... Gaviota...
Gav: Pues eso si, vamos a tener toda la vida para pasarla juntos (Carmenza is changing the cassette on the stereo and raising the volume)... Ay, Madre! que es lo que esta haciendo??
Carm: (signals to Gaviota to get the phone closer to the stereo while 'Regalame esta noche', one of Gav and Seb's favorite songs , is playing... Gav lets Seb listen... he is really under sheer torture, covering the phone with the hand so he can snif and not be heard... turning his head away in signal of not being able to hold any longer, but he does...poor thing... here here... )
Gav: Si le gusto??...
Seb: Si... me gusto mucho. (whispering with difficulty, totally emotionally overloaded)
Gav: Jaja... ahora va a poder dormir tranquilito. Mire, y a que hora nos recoge?
Seb: A las 10:30.
Gav: Yo creo que a las 10! Para despedirnos de Dona Cecilia, de Marcela, de Paula que se han portado lo mas bien todos!
Seb: (caught unprepared and shows it) Se... Se van a despedir de ellas?
Gav: Pues claro!! Ay, yo no me voy a ir sin despedirme, sin decirles hasta luego siquiera!
Seb: Esta bien. Entonces yo paso a las 10.
Gav: Bueno... un besito. Vayase a dormir y se suena conmigo, bueno? (OMG!! talk about torture on poor Seb!!)
Seb: (manages just a whisper)... si, Gaviota...
Gav: Sebastian!... Mire, yo lo adoro a Usted... lo amo y lo idolatro con toda mi alma!... (is confused at his lack of response)... si me oyo??
Seb: ... Si!... (trying to smile) Si. Perdoname, es que estoy un poco cansado.
Gav: Es que se tiene que ir a dormir ya, no? (LOL Does he have a bedtime assigned when at Cecilia's??LOL) Pues entonces hasta manana. Que Dios me lo bendiga siempre mil veces!... (hangs up but you can tell she is suspicious...)
Seb: Hasta manana, Gaviota... (hangs up crying, Marcela comes over and he sits down in couch totally devastated, she sits on couch arm, hugging him, they cry together... Sebastian explains to Marcela he has to hold on making Gav think they are leaving the next day because if she learned anything now she would never leave, he has to tell her tomorrow, 'cuando ella no tenga otra opcion mas que irse'...)
Marc: Porque nos esta pasando esto?? Porque todo se esta volteando sobre nosotros??
Seb: No lo se, Marcela, pero lo unico que yo deseo es que esta maldicion no le caiga a Gaviota... que me caiga solo a mi...
(at that very moment, at Gaviota's living room, Gaviota and Carmenza are scrambling all over the carpet, her bead necklace that Sebastian gave her at San Andres has broken and they are picking up the beads, Carmenza HAS to bring up the possibility of it being a sign of bad things to come... lol)

(Next morning Jorge Latorre is presenting Sebastian's plan to the DA at the fiscalia brilliantly...)

(Carmenza and Gaviota have already sent all their furniture to storage and are ready to give up the keys of the apt as soon as Sebastian arrives... finally! they hear the horn of his car)
(when Gav comes out, Seb is in his car, seems very serious while Gaviota is very excited...but notices his mood quickly... after a quick greeting, Gav says they have to get going...)
Seb: Yo no puedo viajar contigo hoy.
Gav: Como asi? Porque?
Seb: Tengo que quedarme a arreglar unos problemas que se me presentaron. (she tries to guess what it is, so he has to expand on the explanation...) Fue el prestamo del banco. Se me complico. A ultima hora no me lo dieron. (he will resolve the problem and will meet her at London later on..., She is not quite convinced, won't go, wants to stay and help him out)
Gav: (after he insists repeatedly that she needs to go on without him...) Sebastian, a mi me parece como si Usted se quisiera deshacer de mi. Usted y yo habiamos hecho un pacto que ibamos a estar juntos en las buenas y en las malas.... Sebastian, Usted se arrepintio?? ... Usted no se quiere ir conmigo?... Ah?? Gav: (getting less worried and increasingly angry at him) Como asi que por ahora no??

Gav: (turns around to get right on his face, and loses it)Pues yo se lo agradezco a Usted!! Se lo agradezco mucho lo que es que yo soy una IMBECIL!! de haberle creido otra vez a Usted!! sabiendo que es las mismas cosas siempre!! Asi es que vayase con sus (can't figure this word out) y con sus todo lo que quiera!!! VAYASE AL INFIERNO!!! (hitting him repeatedly on the chest, he takes it very well, looks down so as to not let her realize he is crying...) USTED NO ME TRATA ASI, OYO??? (she leaves quickly, he is left there standing alone... crying it out)
(Marcela calls Paula and lets her know what Sebastian is doing, Paula reprimends Marcela for letting Sebastian do it... )
(Sebastian is giving his testimony, blames himself and insists they not bother Gaviota, she is innocent, she was just following orders ... what a nice man, never even mentioned the naviera or implicated his cousin Bernardo at all)
(Gaviota and Carmenza at airport... Gaviota wants to hurry down the gateway, Carmenza tries to stop her and suggests they call Sebastian, Gaviota says its no use, he is just the same ... end of ep 141... 18 to go)

the next four episodes...

are pretty boring, with Seb and Gaviota both going their own ways... it won't get really interesting again for a few episodes, when things begin to fall apart for Ivan when Marcia and her dad enter the picture... so I will try and get dialogues from the rest of this tape (eps 142-145) thursday night and post friday... so we can get to the real juicy stuff during the trial of Sebastian... Also I will not post much about Gaviota and the convention in Europe about the regulation of the price of coffee, will just summarize the main points... Will limit posting much about Ivan, Francisco, Europe or other folks, will concentrate mostly on Sebastian and Marcela/Jorge, which will make a great defense team... just wait and see...

He is still in negotiations with NBC. I've thought if fans want to make themselves heard, it it would be a good idea if people write to NBC saying, "When are we going to see Detective Luis Perez again?". Maybe that'll help speed things along. I've already written my email and a few other fans whom I know have done so as well. Let's hope we get to see him soon!

descanse. Este fin de semana si Dios lo permite empiezo a escribir los 20 que faltan y ya los veras la semana que viene. No seran tantos dialogos porque por este tiempo despues de un capitulo mas, no estan juntos hasta los ultimos dos capitulos... pero hay mucha accion, el pobre de Ivan recibe un par de trancazos mas de parte de Sebastian... hay escenas candentes y la pobre de Cecilia finalmente ve con claridad quien es quien en su familia... muchas escenas que valen la pena escribir asi que no te lo pierdas... y por supuesto los ultimos dos capitulos son emocionantes y romaticos.

EY CHICAS, no escribo para presionarlas, pero ya han pasado mas de 2 meses, porque no han puesto los demas capitulos, si quieren les puedo ayudar, si no pueden enviarlos o algo, escaneen los escritos en hojas, y yo los transcribo en compu, y lo envio, o no se de que manera puedo ayudarte Martha, pero me gustaria hacerlo, todas estamos impacientes!
Aunque yo la vi ya mas de 4 veces la novela, tener los dialogos es wow!!!
Me parece mentira este aÑo cumple 10 AÑOS, nuestra novela y todavia seguimos hablando de ella!

Take your time. I only saw the first 3 episodes, I almost forgot what happend. I only remember that Helmut asked Sonya to marry him. And till now I dont understand what is happening in Guajira? What did Ursula do? And what about the story that Helmut made love with Ursula? And did Helmut pay for that?

Ursula lied and said that she had had relations with Helmut so that she would not have to marry the man that was pre arranged to marry her. She wanted to continue her studies and she knew she would not be able to if she married that old man. But even after she told them she had lied they did not believe her so they hunted him down, and as it happens everything was arranged when the man hunters found him an shot him. Of course the Cacique took charge because everuthing had been taken care off and it was known that what she said was not true. that is why he returned home with a bullet in his chest and almost bled to death on his wedding day which threw Sonia into a hatred to the Guajira people. She never understood even though Helmut tried and tried to explain the whole thing to her, that nothing happened it was a lie of a very young girl.
Sonia never would believe him completely. But up to now ne never slept with anyone but his wife.

for this I will ask you to record the story for me since I have to evacuate my home because of Hurricane Frances.

I only saw the first 3 episodes. The last thing I can remember was when the people of Gujira want to punish Helmut because they thought that he made love with Ursula. For me you dont have write long resumes, a short sumarrie is enough for me. And take all your time, I hope that you feel better now.
