Hola Marina, Acabo de entrar al foro de problemas dirigido al WEBMASTER, YO NO SOY LA UNICA DEJANDO UN MENSAGE hay muchos problemas que no se han resuelto aparentemente desde que el nuevo servidor tomo las riendas.
aqui te dejo uno de los mensage que les deje acerca de nuestro foroyo tambien tengo un problema.

en nuestro foro, las paginas estan todas o la mayoria fuera de orden. hay algunas repuestas que estan en negro. que es eso. ?????
los Icons y los nombres de las personas no se ven y todo es un mess. Esto es en el foro de Guy Ecker.
Por favor arreglen aunque sea la continuacion de las paginas y la orden de los mensages. No podemos continuar nuestro foro asi. no hay justificacion para un error tan grande de los espertos como son ustedes.
Por favor les pido su inmediata atencion a este problema.

Carm: Yo empece a rodar por el pais desde que era muy jovencita. Porque es que durante la epoca de la violencia mataron a mis papas. Y perdimos lo unico que teniamos, que era una tierrita. Eramos tres hermanos. El menorcito, ese lo mataron el mismo dia que mataron a mis papas. El otro si arranco conmigo, pero era un muchacho muy enfermito, y EL no aguanto el trajin por el pais, ni la vida por las carreteras, y ese, pues, tambien se murio. Pues yo me quede sola. Y que me ponia a hacer? Pues lo unico que yo sabia hacer, que era recoger cafe. Entonces, pues ahi empece a ir a las haciendas cafeteras durante la cosecha... yo muy muchacha, inexperta pero aprendiendo. Pero pues cuando se acabo la cosecha, yo me tenia que ir a buscar pues para vivir el resto del año. Entonces fue cuando me volvi andariega que llaman, y empece a rodar por todo el pais en cosecha de algodon y de sorgo. Ay, pero Bendito sea Dios, por alla una vez una comadre me conto que existia la hacienda Casa Blanca, y que eso si era la mejor, pues que la paga era muy buena, que trataban muy bien a la gente, que habia un patron que era como muy bueno, y alla me fui, y eso porque era muy dificil, porque pues todo el mundo queria trabajar alla! Y yo rogandole y rogandole a un agregado pues, logre que me enganchara, y alla fui a parar yo en la primera cosecha que estuve en Casa Blanca. Pero eso no era facil porque la andariegas que habia en esa epoca no eramos muchas, y no habia esos distingos que un cuarto para los hombres y un cuartel para las mujeres. eso no! Alla conforme iban llegando, conforme iban acomodando hombres y mujeres revueltos! (we see her being led to a room with bunk beds and she is pointed to one of the beds. Carmenza has long hair, is carrying all her stuff with her). Todo el mundo iba en los mismos cuarteles.

(she continues talking, it was payday, she brought her money in cash to her bed, hid it in her bag, and a guy was watching her from outside. He tells her that the supervisor was calling for her, she leaves and the guy watches while another guy stole her money... She came back, realized someone had stolen her money and immediately figured out who, since noone was really calling for her. She went after the guy and very similarly to when Gaviota attacked the other guy in the beginning about stealing the TV that Sebastian had given them, Carmenza pushes the guy down and begins hitting him silly... the fight brings a crowd, which gets very loud, so Don Octavio yells 'what's going on there!!'. Don Octavio comes over and Carmenza tells him the guy stole her pay money. [Sebastian and Gaviota at this point are looking at each other and remembering the tv fight incident, both are smirking a smile] Don Octavio has the agregado of that time search the guy, but there is no money. Carmenza keeps insisting shouting that he did steal all her money. Don Octavio tells her to go get her stuff from her room and come back. Don Octavio asks the agregado if he has cash on him, takes it and adds the cash that he had in his pocket. Carmenza comes back and is very thankful when Don Octavio gives her all the money, much more than her pay amount. She tells him she will bring back to him whatever she does not spend, he says don't worry. And Don Octavio assures her there will be a spot for her next year.
Carmenza said from that point on she was working at Casa Blanca every year, and one day something really strange happened. SHe was walking around the fields after the day's work was over, when she spotted two guys talking... they were planning to assault the car where DOn Octavio was bringing from the bank all the pay money for that season... one of them would stop the car with some emergency excuse while the other guy would shoot them dead. The people in the car, including Don Octavio, had to die since they didn't want any witnesses left around...
At hearing this Carmenza started to run to see if she could catch the car and warn them before the guy could shoot them. She did... she ran and yelled at the car and then yelled at Don Octavio to turn around and go away, because some guys were trying to kill him... Don Octavio had the car turned around... later on Don Octavio and other workers are searching for Carmenza... one of them finds her... she is glad Don Oct is alive, he is glad she is unharmed, and he thanks her for her gesture... she says she was scared but is glad he is fine... he asks what she needs... she says all she needs right now is a shot of aguardiente [again, similar to when Seb left the tv fight scene with Gaviota and she said she needed aguardiente, then they left for the town barcito]...Don Octavio asks the guys if anyone has aguardiente, one of them gives Carmenza a bottle almost full... they walk together, Don Octavio invites her to the house, she says no way, I can't go to the house... he says there is noone else there, come. They start walking toward the house...)

ok, since I get home at 7pm I was able to tape the west coast showing of GyF while I cooke
by
dinner and this is what was said... Guy apparently is REALLY busy with the 'Las Vegas' show right now... but he is still considering novelas... he just wants to be careful and wait until a good script/Story comes along... and he mentioned that he was REALLY interested in doing one with THALIA!! (YUCK!!!!, sorry but I don't think she is at HIS level)...
anyway, in a nutshell that is what was said... he looks as good as ever and is totally inmersed in the experience of being a papacito, said Nia (is that her name) is seven months now but has him wrapped all over her little finger... lol! I can see that!
did I say yet he looked pretty gorgeous?...

(Marcela tells Sebastian it is almost 5 pm, time to go get Carmenza)
S: Marcela, me estan preguntando que porque estoy respaldando la deuda del papa de Lucia. Me espera una Junta Directiva muy dura.
M: NO. Eso no es lo que me preocupa por ahora. Lo que me preocupa es que Lucia se vaya y no podamos confirmar que ese niño no es tuyo, Sebastian! Sabes que? Me provoca llamar al medico. Puede que ya este aqui.
S: Tu tienes el telefono?
M: Si! Vete!...
(Sebastian goes to pick up Carmenza. After convincing a still reluctant Carmenza to come with him... yes, the whole family is there but not to worry, I will be there too..)
C: Joven Sebastian, sera que yo le puedo pedir un favor?
S: Claro que si. Diga.

Meanwhile Marcela calls the doctor's office. He is back but there are no openings. She refuses to leave her name...)

At Cecilia's Ivan questions Latorre on the assetts Octavio Vallejo had him administering. If the letter tries to reassign those same assetts, the family will have to decide whether they want to comply with it.
I: Pues el Abuelo podra revolcarse en su tumba pero no vamos a ceder absolutamente nada a esas mujeres!!
F: Ivan, por favor, hombre!
I: Seamos honestos, Papa!! Nadie va a ceder nada, o si??!!
Ber: De pronto esas no son las exigencias que hay en el sobre! De pronto lo unico que quiere el abuelo es que seamos un poco condescendientes con ellas y no le veo nada de malo! Eso es sin contar con que la Gaviota sea hija del abuelo. Porque en ese caso, si tiene todo el derecho a exigir. O no, Doctor Latorre??

I: (IVan had been overhearing them from a few steps away) Pues lo que tenga que hablar con el Doctor Latorre lo va a a tener que hacer enfrente de todos nosotros! Pero siga!!... O es que le da miedo? Claro! Es que su especialidad son las discusiones en los baños cuando la gente se encuentra sola!
C: Por favor, Ivan!! No me vas a convertir mi casa en un campo de batalla!! No se preocupe, Carolina. Vamos a tratar este asunto como personas civilizadas. (leads her cordially to living room. Lucrecia and Angela begin to make subtle accusations toward Gaviota. Cecilia cuts them fof and tells the whole family that she expects respect for Carolina and her mother)

Pues, yo me imagino, pues que aqui todos Ustedes conocen mi vida de sobra! Cierto? Porque yo veo que se han preocupado bastante por averiguarla ... y por divulgarla! Entonces se le aparecio a esta el principe azul y entonces resulto ser hija de un millonario!! No, pues despues van a decirme.. pues claro!! Con razon salio tan bonita y tan inteligente aqui la niña!! Entonces para mi seria una desilusion horrible ser hija de Don Octavio porque pues nadie me va a reconocer a mi los meritos mios!! (at this point Miguel excuses himself, 'since it does not concern him' saying he will prepare something for them all to drink, and Lucia excuses herself with the excuse of the baby monitoring... Lucia catches up with Miguel in the dining room alone... she tells Miguel that the whole family is on her because of the baby's looks (not a Vallejo-like), they have to leave, and it has to be NOW!!... Miguel responds that he can't leave now. Lucia insists, Miguel nods a no again. 'I'm sorry'...)

'Muchos de Ustedes se deben estar preguntando a que se debe tanto misterio en torno a este sobre. Se preguntaran porque de esta extraña obstinacion de llamar a una recolectora y reunirla con toda la familia. Me imagino el malestar y las sospechas que esto debe estar causando. Pues bien, Mi afan no es otro que hacer oficial mis deseos ante la familia para que no solo se cumplan, sino tambien para que sean respetados. Asi que yo, Octavio Vallejo, en pleno uso de mis facultades.. declaro que otorgo a la Señora Carmenza Suarez, y en su ausencia a la Señorita Teresa Suarez, su hija, la hacienda San Jose. Se trata de una casa y 100 hectareas de tierra con sus respectivo beneficiadero y cuarteles para trabajadores, y cuyas especificaciones generales se encuentran en las escrituras que reposan en el Banco de Finlandia, y podran ser retiradas unica y exclusivamente a la presentacion de este documento. Esta finca no esta contemplada entre los bienes que inicialmente herede a la familia, sino que fue adquirida por mi con la ilusion de entregarsela a Carmenza cuando ella cumpliera 45 años, tal y como siempre fue su deseo. Pero al sentir que la muerte no me permitiria entregarsela en este dia, no tuve otro camino que depositar las escrituras en el banco. La finca se encuentra en estos momentos bajo la administracion de dos personas de mi absoluta confianza, y Jorge Latorre queda encargado de los respectivos tramites. Estos bienes le deberan ser entregados sin condiciones de ninguna indole a ella, o a su hija por quien tanto ha luchado. Con esto espero retribuhir en parte el esfuerzo de una mujer a la que le debo la vida, y a la que siempre le agradeci la tranquilidad que me proporcionaba con sus charlas en las tardes en el mirador. A ella debo gran parte del desarrollo de Casa Blanca. Carmenza representa la poetica del campo, representa a la mujer trabajadora. A las manos de mujeres como Carmenza, el cafe le debe en gran parte su produccion. Con ella aprendi el valor de las chapoleras, aprendi a admirar la destreza de recoger el cafe, y aprendi que la vida para ellas es muy dura. A traves de esta mujer que seguramente tienen al frente, y que ha sido ejemplar para mi, quiero tambien que todos rindamos un homenaje a las recolectoras. Porque Ustedes tambien se lo deben.

Sorry to say that he has not been on. But I have it from a good source that he definitely will be on towards the end of the season (13 shows). I keep taping the show just in case he is on, because as I see it, Its easy to miss him since there are no or few announcements.
I keep checking LasVegas@NBC.com to see if he is listed as a guest, but so far, nothing.

this weekend I wrote down some more... am past the envelope reading and Carmenza's story... my question is this one... how detailed 'word by word' do you want Carmenza's story, or do you want me to just summarize it and then we move on... I got all of Gaviota's speech to the Vallejo's before the envelope reading... that was pretty important, she won over some of the V's with that speech... but Carmenza's story is very long... I got some of it, but to get word by word all her interactions with Don Octavio, that would take a while... I just wanted to get to the good stuff afterwards, the end of the Dra Reyes issue etc etc... let me know ... my objective is to finish by the end of the year, I do have some dialogues already done but not many, and we still have over 30 episodes to go so I need to get busy... Also, there is a long section of those 30 episodes where G/Seb are not together... I will probably get a minimal set of dialogues from there, at least until the trial... that is important.

Sebastian is getting ready to go to Cecilia's for the envelope reading.. Lucia was not planning to going to Cecilia's or bringing the baby, but Sebastian says he is taking the baby with him, family wants to see it, so she is forced to come along.. When they arrive with the baby, all the family, especially Marcela, Cecilia and Paula are surprised by the looks of the baby, now he is dark hair and darker skin, not like Sebastian or them at all... Sebastian pulls Marcela aside and asks her to go see the doctor, since he is also suspicios of the paternity of the baby. Marcela says maybe doctor is back from his trip already, will give it another try.
Lucrecia to Ivan: Si ese es hijo de Sebastian, yo soy la hermana de Harold! (both Ivan and Lucrecia are VERY suspicious of the baby's looks)
Things are very tense at Cecilia's about what happened the night before at the Association. Cecilia will speak to Roberto Avellaneda to make sure Gaviota will not have more contact with us.

Marc: Tu que crees? (they both are giggly but trying their best to hold it at check, he leans back smiling)

They begin to suspect that Octavio had something to do with Carmenza and that now it turns out Gaviota could be their relative!! 'That's an outrage!!' yell some of them.

(Jorge calls Carmenza at the apt, he identifies himself and asks Carmenza to come to Cecilia's house asap... that is enough to set Carmenza on war mode... She gets very aggressive...)

Sebastian remembers what Cecilia had said about the rumors that her husband was seeing some coffee collector woman at night in the coffee fields, every October... and the rumors that went around about Don Octavio and the woman, that Oct was the worst month of her life every year...)
(THe hotel receptionist tells Gaviota the 4pm flight is full but she can go to the airport and be on stand-by just in case... Gaviota is worried, excuses herself to the other Assoc guy, something VERY important/grave has occurred, she has to return to Bogota right now...)

Of course we have no way of knowing if Guy is in it or not, but here is hoping...
By the way I don't know how many of you watch the Jay Leno show, but on Friday they showed a clip of the new show tonight, and its worth watching. The show itself is funy. Nothing was said about Guy but here is hoping again that he will be on.
The show kind of left us with the impression that they needed a detective right? And they will never find a better detective than OUR DETECTIVE GUY ECKER, right?.
So I hope everyone wrote their letter to NBC.

JUST WANTED TO LET YOU ALL KNOW THAT THE 'PILOT' FOR THE LAS VEGAS SHOW WILL AIR ON NBC SATURDAY NIGHT AT 8:00 PM.
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON'T KNOW THE 'PILOT' IS THE MOVIE THAT THE PRODUCERS AND DIRECTORS PRESENT TO THE NETWORKS FOR THEM TO VIEW AND TO DECIDE IF THEY WANT THAT PARTICULAR SHOW IN THEIR REGULAR PROGRAMMING FOR THAT SEASON.
NBC DECIDED THAT THEY WANTED TO HAVE 'LAS VEGAS' AS ONE OF THEIR SHOWS.

I'm glad you watched the show. I had not seen when it was they first showed it, but I was happy to see both shows together.
I saw alot of posibilities they way they left his part. I hope they expand on his role, He was great and I know we will enjoy watching him in English for a change.

I have to say I was sort of confused with the Las Vegas show and Guy's role...

Guy's performance was great, as always (I have said enough times I LOVE to watch GUY in the middle of a fight, and 'sacando la cara por sus cuates' like he did last night)... My kudos to him on a great performance.
That said, it was just somewhat strange to see him looking so 'american' and portraying an obviously latino guy speaking spanish at times, then english, with perfect pronunciation in each. I guess I am confused what kind of stereotype, if any, they were trying to fit Guy into... he certainly does not look typical 'latino' (although we know in his heart he is)... so why give him a role of someone who obviously has a latino background?. I thought it made him look awkward in such a setting (like the odd man out in an environment which is NOT latino-prone at all, Las Vegas!!)...
the show in general was different enough for me to give it several weeks try, especially if Guy appears in it regularly.

Well Marta, I have been thinking about that.
My opinion is: Since Guy is not known in the "American" English speaking networks, I guess they wanted people to recognize him and break him in gently. I feel that he is probably going to be a very big part of the show with Molly Sims, because if you noticed last night she stayed watching when Detctive Luis asked his friend to let the police handle it (after the street fight).
Also if you were able to catch the interview with Escandalo TV, you could draw several conclusions from it. I hope I'm right. His hair style is a dead give-a-way. Style maintained for show purposes. Ha! and on top of all of that: The directors, producers and creators of the Las Vegas Show KNOW THEY HAVE SOMEONE VERY SPECIAL IN GUY ECKER and no way are they going to waste the opportunity to enance his part and take advantage of a whole new group of viewers who they never had before "the Latins".
I am looking forward to the next shows to see If my thoughts and insights are correct.
Please watch Jay Leno on the Topnight show, TONIGHT OCT. 1, Molly Sims will be on and I wonder if she has anything to report as to Guy. I will be watching and will report any news I reap. ps: I could tell that his English was rehersed. He speaks beautiful english like when he spoke in Cafe during the visitors to the cafe region, remember?...They definitely want a Latin person but like my husband, born and raised in La but of latin heritage, where his first language is english, but speaks spanish because of his family ties.

to me in the show. I KNOW Guy can speak english perfectly without even a slight accent, so if he was intentionally putting an accent there for his role's latino background, it makes a lot of sense to me now.
Regarding latinos as stereotypes, I certainly agree that we all come in all shapes, colors and forms...
my mother and I are brunette, black eyes, and her very sister, my godmother is blonde green-eyed with same facial features... I too speak both fluently and am not recognized just by my voice as latina.
Just like Guy's answer to my question in his last chat via Univision.com, I agree 200% with him in that if there is one thing I want to leave my kids with for their future, that thing is a sense of respect for others regardless of their background, religion and beliefs and to have compassion and understanding for those less fortunate than us.
I certaily wish the best for Guy and hope the producers of 'Las Vegas' will see his value as a versatile performer and will keep him on the show for the long run... he certainly has fought long and hard for this chance and he deserves it.

And here's the reason why: I have a 100% Latin background (parents are both Cuban and I was born in Cuba myself), yet I have blonde hair and green eyes; I am fully fluent in English and Spanish and speak, read and write in both languages with equal ease. The comment I get most often from people who don't know me when they hear me speak Spanish is, "What, you're Spanish?" And while I only nod yes and smile, I think to myself, "Yes, we do come in all different colors, you know." LOL.
So I, for one, am glad to see that they're using Guy in that particular role -- it serves as a reminder that maybe I'm not such an oddball after all.
P.S. I don't know whether Guy will be making any further appearances as Det. Luis Pérez in "Las Vegas" -- I'll have to check on that and keep the forum updated.

I don't think they were stereotyping anyone. The Detective's name could have been John Williams, I think the whole thing was done on purpose to attract the large Latin audience that know Guy very well. It did feel a little strange, but his name was Luis Perez.
Bresides that program is up against MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL. Are they looking for a larger audience and higher ratings. I think so.
Guy is not the type to allow stereotyping. His fans come from all over the world and speak many languages, and besides its just a role and he acted it out beautifully no matter what accent he used. I think we should be happy to have him in our living rooms again.
I am happy for him and for me. I love watching him and
I hope he gets whatever part he wants so we can have him for a long time on our screens.

The episode of "Las Vegas" which Guy will be in has been slotted to air this coming Monday, 9/29, at 9:00 p.m., instead of its original date of 10/6. Please check your local listings because some channels air the show at 10:00 p.m.
Guy also did an interview with "Escándalo del Mediodia" (Telefutura) and this will air tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 26. So set your VCR's accordingly!

I've just been told air date of the "Escándalo" interview was changed to today (Monday)
by Tuly
So I guess most people, including myself, unfortunately missed that interview by now.
Elizabeth, I'm constantly in direct contact with Bossa Sales and they try to relay all of the information relative to Guy's upcoming t.v. appearances so that I can post it on the forums. As soon as I become aware of anything else in the future, I'll post it here and you can post it on your Univision forum.

Marc: Es que yo no entiendo a que va la pregunta! Usted misma me dijo que no queria saber nada de Sebastian y entonces, que importa si sale con la psicologa o con cualquiera?! No le parece?
Gav: Pues entonces es que es real!
Marc: Todavia no ha pasado nada que tenga que lamentar, Gaviota.

Marc: Sabe que?? Yo creo que Usted mejor le hace esa pregunta a Sebastian. Yo no me quiero meter en eso. Mire, yo hice mucho por Ustedes dos. Pero no logre nada. Ni tampoco es justo que yo me ponga a contarle ahi a todo el mundo detalladamente la vida privada de Sebastian. No es justo!

(Gaviota gets home and gives the debriefing to Carmenza. Carmenza just says she will get the newspaper to look for a new job for Gaviota, back to the beginning (she is afraid Gav will lose her job for this) Gav says they might not believe Lucrecia in the condition she was in at the time.)
(Marcela holds on her versio to Cecilia, that Gav was with her all that time)
Cec: Marcela, Usted seria capaz de poner las manos sobre el fuego por esa mujer? O mejor dicho! Usted me jura que Gaviota no hizo nada en contra de Lucrecia?
Marc: Abuela, yo no pongo las manos sobre el fuego por nadie. Pero yo si le digo una cosa. Si ellas me hubieran hecho eso a mi, yo quien sabe que les hubiera hecho! Y no solo a Lucrecia!! A las tres!!
Cec: Marcela, POR DIOS!!

Cec: Claro. Tenia que pasar justamente en vispera de la reunion que vamos a tener! Justo en la vispera del aniversario de Octavio, cuando yo queria tener a la familia reunida y en paz!!
(Gaviota tells Carmenza about Sebastian, their conversation and his early exit. Sebastian tells Daniela that Gaviota was beside Salinas all the time that he was there and he feels resigned, he understands now that things need to stay that way... (with a given up look on his face, end of ep 123. BUT!! They (Seb and Gav) were able to talk as friends, had a cordial conversation. Sebastian is happy he was able to LEAVE the event and alone, earlier on he would have stayed there all night long watching her and anyone that approached her... Daniela asks him if he told Gaviota about her (D). He says no. Didn't even mention her. When Sebastian moves away from her, Daniela stays concerned and dissappointed, like he is not as far along as she would have wanted)
(Next morning, Lucia finds Sebastian sleeping in the couch, wakes him up asking if he was with G)
S: No estaba con Gaviota si es lo que estas pensando.
Luc: No, yo se que no estabas con Gaviota. Yo tuve el gusto de hablar con ella despues de que tu te fuiste. Ademas, me dejo aterrada! Sabe absolutamente todo sobre la situacion economica de mi familia! (Seb is kind of surprised/concerned that Gav would spill those beans) No tuvo ningun inconveniente en decirselo a todo el mundo!!
S: Pues no esperes que ella tenga remordimientos contigo, Lucia!
Luc: No! Conmigo no! Contigo!! Lo dijo delante de Lucrecia! De Angela! De Francisco! Yo creo que hoy te van a hacer un interrogatorio a ver si todo eso es cierto.
S: Algo grave debiste decirle para que ella recurriera a eso.
Luc: No! Mas bien yo creo que ella estaba celosa. Estuvo muy agresiva, hasta le pego a Lucrecia! (he was putting his hands on his face, visibly tired from lack of good sleep, and froze at hearing this, slowly turns his face to Lucia not hiding his surprise to make sure she actually said what he thought he heard...)
S: .. QUE?...
Luc: Le pego a Lucrecia!! (he turns back away from her and smirks a smile, hiding it in his hands) Espero que estuviera en el baño, la encerro y le pego!!
S: Y como esta Lucrecia? (enjoying this by now)
Luc: Bien! Solo le lastimo el orgullo! Nada mas.
S: Pues que lastima! (leans back on the sofa, enjoying this chat with Lucia, for a change) Pense que estaria en una clinica! Corrio con suerte. Gaviota pudo haberla...(je!) matado...
Luc: Eres un asco, Sebastian! (he just laughs and waves her off...)
S: (as she is leaving toward the bedroom) Lucia! Lamento que les haya fracasado el plan! Que perdieron de nuevo con la recolectora! (she smirks a sarcastic smile/laugh back, he jeeps giggling) Ay, Gaviota... eres loca! (rubbing his hand all over his hair, still giggling).
{THIS WAS A GREAT SCENE, VERY MUCH FUN TO WATCH]
At the Assoc office, Avellaneda summons Salinas after he has heard about the events late the night before... Tells Salinas the situation (with Carolina and the Vallejos) cannot continue. He won't fire her. Wants to transfer her... to Europe... ASAP.

I have some of that (at Cecilia's before and just after the opening of the first envelope [ there are two envelopes, one inside the other]) but have to get the second part before posting because I don't want to get everyone interested and then make you all wait forever for the 'veredict'... so I will try to get the end of this tape and then post all the events of that day at Cecilia's next week, in between class (I am taking a four day training next week).
After that I have about two thirds of the next tape to write down, then we get to the restaurant and airport scenes, which I have most of the good stuff already written down.

Ep 122.
Daniela and Sebastian plan to celebrate his getting the office space. Francisco argues with Angela over phone about the wives not going to the cocktail. Lucia tells the wives that Paula IS going to the cocktail. They wonder if she and Marcela re teaming up to protect Gaviota. Cecilia goes to Lucrecia's apt personally to demand an explanation for the wives not going to the cocktail in honor of Don Oct.
Cecilia could care less about Gaviota. She cares about the memory of Octavio Vallejo above any of their personal crusades. If they won't go, she will begin to think that they are not part of the family. Marcela alerts Sebastian over phone of the situation between Gaviota and the wives, she tells him Cecilia went there but they didn't reach an agreement.
Marc: Sebastian, en realidad eso no es lo que me preocupa. Lo que me preocupa en este momento es la Gaviota. Es que ellas quieren hacerle daño, Sebastian! Y estan empecinadas en no ir nada mas porque se arme un problema entre la Asociacion y la familia y eso no es justo!! La Gaviota dijo que no pensaba ir si eso las tranquilizaba. Tu que opinas?
Seb: Marcela, dile que no se deje amedrentar por ellas! Que las ignore, que no le va a pasar nada.
Marc: Eso mismo le dije yo, pero ojala que haga caso, no? Y que? Estas muy nervioso?
Seb: Porque estaria nervioso?
Marc: Porque no ves a la Gaviota hace mucho tiempo y por fin se van a encontrar.
Seb: Marcela, yo no voy a ese coctel por ella! Yo voy por la abuela y despues tengo un compromiso con Daniela.
Marc: Entiendo.
Seb: Hasta luego.
Angela changes strategy. If they don't go, Gaviota might get a slap on the wrist but they would end up real bad in the eyes of Francisco and Cecilia. If we want to show Gaviota does not belong at the Association, we have to get the message to others, and the best place to do it is at the coctel tonight.
Arthur confirms to Paula over phone that the phone bills arrived and there were many calls to Sebastian's apartment.
The guests begin to arrive at the coctel, greeted by Salinas and Gaviota. They tell Avellaneda that the Vallejo wives are not coming, Avellaneda is very concerned.
The Vallejo wives at the beauty parlor keep drinking and planning how they will behave at the coctel.
Ivan arrives at the coctel, tells everyone his wife was not 'welcome' at the events. Doctor Fontalvo, Marcia's dad, is at the coctel, tells Avellaneda he needs to talk to him about a very serious issue, urgently.
Cecilia arrives at the coctel. Paula and Miguel, Marcela and Harold also arrive. He hasn't yet tried the coffee that Salinas gave him last time he was there because he is sad to open such a beautiful packaging.
Bernardo tells Ivan he is aware that Ivan used the family money to play the money market games. Also alerts Ivan that his assistant (and significant other) is still nervous about the old 'false shipments' issue.
Sebastian arrives, very much under control, greets Gaviota with a kiss on the cheek. Tells her about the good business he was able to make during his trip and about the award for his coffee abroad. He is very thankful for their help even if he didn't accept it after a while. Then Sebastian moves away to talk to Marcela...
Marc: Como la viste?
Seb: Pues... bella como siempre.
Miguel is talking to others about all the hard work he has put it as administrator of the hacienda, and tries to throw some numbers at them about the production quantities, etc... Sebastian arrives after a moment and is surprised to hear about the 'hard work' at the hacienda. The guests ask Sebastian about his gourmet coffee. Sebastian is proud to announce he is doing very well with it.
Seb: Lo que si me preocupa es el resto de mi cafe.
Migu: Claro, porque es mas o menos el 65% de la produccion de la hacienda...
Seb: (quickly interrupts with a certain humor) Eh... el 90%, Miguel, El 90 %. (Seb has made Miguel seem like an idiot in front of the other guests)...

(Gaviota pulls Avellaneda away for a moment, then Avellaneda moves away and here comes Seb towards her...)
Seb: Gaviota, como te ha ido?
Gav: Pues... no tan bien como a Usted, me parece.
Seb: Porque dice eso?
Gav: Si, Doctor, porque la vida mia sigue como igual, pero a Usted parece que le ha cambiado bastante, pero para bien, pues porque... me alegra mucho que le esten funcionando sus negocios y... pues verlo asi como esta de bien.
Seb: Pues la verdad es que me alegra verte a ti tambien. A ti tambien te esta yendo muy bien. Te esta yendo excelente, la gente habla maravillas de ti... y la verdad es que estas ... tan bella como cuando te conoci. (just as they are exchanging stares and smiles, suddenly, Lucia, Lucrecia and Angela make their entrance...)
Luc: Buenas noches!
Seb: Lucia, que estas haciendo aqui??
Luc: Estamos invitadas, no es asi?
Gav: Bueno, pues bienvenidas!! (visibly aggravated at their arrival and their tone in greeting them)
Lucre: Eso me sono muy falso.
Gav:(giving up on keeping her composure and elevating her voice) Es que lo hago por protocolo, sabe? Porque del corazon no me sale! (Sebastian can't avoid to smirk a smile by her smart response) Permiso. (she exits before she loses her control for good, good move on her part)
Luc: Interrumpimos algo, Sebastian?
Seb: No, para nada, Lucia. Y puedo saber a que se debe el cambio de planes? Lo ultimo que supe de Ustedes, no iban a venir porque estaban sentando su mas airada protesta.
Ang: Cambiamos de parecer. Para nosotras el homenaje a Octavio es lo mas importante, Sebastian. Te lo aseguro.
Seb: Ah, pues... que fraternales! (sarcastically) Permiso.
(Angela warns the others that they need to take it easy on the booze/alcohol since they have had quite a bit already)
Gav approaches Salinas
Gav: Ellas estan aqui por algo! Porque no vinieron solo para el homenaje del abuelo, pues!
Sal: No! Vinieron a buscarla a Usted. Tenga cuidado, estan tomando. Usted tambien tenga cuidado con eso. Con la tension, el efecto del licor aumenta.
Gav: Usted tranquilo, Doctor, que yo ESTO lo se manejar perfectamente.
(Daniela's apt is full of her friends partying around, she is hosting, but visibly her mind is elsewhere, worried about how Seb is doing with Gaviota)
(Marcela asks the wives why they came, because noone buys that it was for Octavio Vallejo)
Ang: Marcela, no seas insolente y atrevida.
Marc: Empezando por ti, Angela. Porque para ti fue un descanso que el abuelo se muriera. No hacias mas que criticarlo y no hacias mas que decir que se la pasaba cuestionando a Francisco. Fuiste a visitarlo muy pocas veces cuando te tocaba, no? (turns to Lucrecia) En cambio TU lo viste como mucho unas 4 o 5 veces en toda tu vida, yo creo. Para ti no significaba mas que el viejito abuelo de Ivan. No era nadie mas! (to Lucia) Y TU ni siquiera lo conociste. Entonces, por favor dejemos la farsa porque es que ni siquiera yo me la creo. Solo hay dos posibilidades. O vinieron a congraciarse con la abuela 24 horas antes de que abramos su testamento en el cual, Ustedes, les aseguro que no estan incluidas... O vinieron a fastidiar a la Gaviota, la cual es la mas convincente, por supuesto.
Luc: Tanto te preocupa la Gaviota?
Marc: No, es que no me preocupa eso. Lo que me preocupa es que conviertan este Congreso en una riña de gallos! Eso si seria muy aburrido...

(the speeches begin, Avellaneda delivers a very elloquent and beautiful biography and highlites of Octavio Vallejo's life and legacy. He talks about OV being the father of the coffee business in the country... he will always be with us... Then it is Cecilia's turn at the microphone. While she gives her thank you speech, Miguel sneaks to the back. Lucia follows him, she tells him Paula was interviewing the old porter at her apt building and the secret will be out anytime now... Paula notices Lucia and Miguel are missing at the main table, and begins to look for them. WHen Paula arrives where Lucia and Miguel are, they feed her the story that Lucia has been something like a marriage counselor to Miguel on his request... As Cecilia finishes her speech, Harold stands up and begins to shout...
H: ESA ES LA ABUELA!!! QUE MARAVILLA!! ABUELITA, MIRE! YO NO CONOCI AL ABUELO PERO POR ESO LO AMO!!! LO AMO!!! (the family greets Cecilia and pretty much ignore Harold, except Seb who limits himself to smile back at him)
Miguel and Lucia keep trying to convince Paula that 'aqui no ha pasado nada'. Paula fakes being satisfied with their explanation.
(At Daniela's apartment, she continues hosting her party, they keep encouraging her that Seb will show up any moment now)
(Salinas takes Gaviota aside, someone takes a professional photo of them. Sebastian spots them and begins to say goodbye, to the family, tells Lucia it is a business meeting. Lucia does not buy into his story but Lucrecia asks her if she is mad at him..
Lucia: Que haga lo que le de la gana, con tal de que no se vaya con la Gaviota. Yo si me voy a quedar. Creo que esta es la unica vez que vamos a poder enfrentar a esta mujer.
Lucre: Le vamos a quitar esa sonrisita de la boca.
Gav: Ya se van?
Seb: Pues me voy solo. Tengo un... un compromiso muy importante. El resto de la familia se queda. Queria felicitarla por el evento. Estuvo muy bonito.
Gav: Gracias.. (visibly concerned that he is leaving alone without Lucia or anyone from the family)
Seb: Y de una vez le advierto que tenga cuidado con Lucrecia y Lucia. Estan un poco tomadas y de pronto estan tramando algo.
Gav: No, tranquilo. Yo me se cuidar sola. Ademas, yo tambien me tengo que ir temprano porque me tengo que ir a Medellin mañana. En el primer vuelo.
Seb: Si. Pues, me gusto mucho verte, Gaviota. Y te deseo mucha suerte. Obviamente te esta yendo muy bien aqui. Hasta luego.
(gives her a kiss on the cheek, she is visibly shocked at his ability to control himself... Avellaneda also says goodbye and leaves)
(Angela and Salinas are talking to other guests about the famous museums in Europe.. After Angela and Lucrecia have mentioned some museums they have visited, Angela makes a bold move towards bringing Gaviota into the conversation...)
Ang: Y Usted, Doctora Olivares... de casualidad visito alguno de esos lugares cuando estuvo en Paris?
Gav: No, yo si no tuve el chance de ir a esos sitios.
Lucre: Ah, no? Es que no es solamente el tener la oportunidad, sino tambien la plata, no?
Ang: Por Dios, Lucrecia! de que estas hablando? Plata? Es que esa no era su zona de trabajo, o me equivoco? (visibly trying to get her out of control)
(one of the few executive guests who were in the conversation with them): En que sitio de Paris estaba Usted, Doctora?
Gav: Y porque no le responde Usted, Señora?
Ang: Supongo que en uno de esos... sitios inmundos! Uno de esos barrios marginales de Paris. Donde mas??
Mauricio: Señoras!! Por favor...
Gav: (grabs Salinas by the arm to stop him from defending her) Un momentico! A ver! En que sitios era que yo trabajaba?? Porque yo me imagino que hasta el nombre de la calle se lo sabe!! O cualquiera de Ustedes pues!
Lucre: Pero nosotras no vamos a esos sitios!!
Gav: Ah, pues yo creo que Ustedes no conocen nada! Porque es que Ustedes creen que conocer Paris o cualquier ciudad de Europa es ir a parquearse alli!! Ustedes dicen: ' Ay, no es que yo conozco Paris', se creen que eso es ir al Acropoli, al musel del Luvre(Lubro), porque todo es como si estuvieran viendo por ahi unas postales. Pero para MI, conocerse una ciudad de verdad verdad, es patoneandosela y sufriendola!! No, pues ellas creen que yo vivi asi en una zona de tolerancia como decir alli el parque de Vulo o algo asi!! Porque pues, YO SI!! Yo vivi en sitios marginales y de todo! Yo vivi en San Venice, en Barde! Estuve por ahi trabajando en restaurantes! Las galerias de La Fayettey... y todo eso!! Pero los que viajamos con todas las comodidades no tenemos que sentirnos culpables, ni mucho menos, de tenerlo todo, y mucho menos de pensar en viajar en las condiciones que Usted lo hizo. Gav: Pues se agarraron a buscarme la lengua y me la encontraron!! A preguntarme dis que cual era mi pasado por CafeExport! Que mi paso por Europa! Que mi romance con Sebastian!! Vea, su abuelita se puede poner todo lo brava que quiera pero me toco desponderme!! Lo unico que francamente si me tiene preocupada es que se me solto por ahi la lengua y dije que Sebastian le estaba sirviendo de fiador al papa de Lucia! Mauro: Felicitaciones, Gaviota. Pense que no iba a guardar la calma. Le dijeron cosas verdaderamente ofensivas.
Marc: No, es que me imagino!! Es que las conozco, Gaviota! Ellas querian que Usted perdiera los estribos y que hasta les pegara! Eso hubiera sido muy lamentable. Creame que hubiera sido asi...
Mauro: No, no hubiera podido guardar su puesto! Lo ultimo que puede hacer una persona en Relaciones Publicas es pegarle a los invitados. Pero Bueno! Aprendieron una leccion! Valio la pena enfrentarlas.
Gav: QUE?? Usted cree que ellas se van a quedar ahi de brazos cruzados? Y menos despues de sta, pues. Mira, es que a mi la que mas me provoco romper es la Lucrecia!! De verdad es que esta noche no voy a poder dormir de la bilis que me esta estallando por ojos, nariz y boca, pues!!

Ang: ( to Lucrecia) Y tu tranquilizate! Puede que las cosas no hayan salido como las planeamos pero logramos descomponerla y eso es lo mas importante!
Lucre: No, yo queria que se descompusiera mas!!
Lucia: Si!? Realmente creia que nos iba a pegar!!

Gav: Doña Angela no me da tanta rabia, porque por lo menos yo ahi le dije su par de cosas y la puse en su sitio. Y Lucia, pues se quedo como una gallina desplumada pues por lo que le dije de su papa! (Mauricio and Marcela are enjoying this) Pero mira, es que me harta el alma de dejar a Lucrecia intacta! Es que no se imagina, Marcela! La cantidad de basura que dijo esa mujer!!

( Gaviota follows Lucrecia to the powder room, as she goes in, she scans around to make sure noone else is close enough or follows them)
Gav: A ver, Doña Lucrecia! Es que yo queria que Usted me terminara de explicar aqui unas cositas que no me quedaron ahi muy claras. Con cuantos fue que tuve romance yo?? A ver!! (already grabbing her by the hair, turning her around and shaking her a bit)
Lucre: No te atrevas!!
Gav: ATREVIDA ES USTED!!! CON CUANTOS??!!!
(after a moment, Gaviota comes out rubbing her hands and fixing up her hair a bit)
(Lucrecia comes out of the bathroom screaming out her lungs that Gaviota hit her... Lucia and Angela come to her...)

Marc: Ay, pues esta delirando!! Ella no se ha movido de mi lado por una hora! Ves? Estas son las consecuencias de que esas mujeres se hayan venido aca! O sea, que ellas empiezan provocandola. Y como no lo lograron, pues tenian que inventarse otro tipo de mentiras!!
Fran: Yo espero que no sea cierto eso. Porque eso no lo podriamos permitir.

Marc: No pudo resistir la tentacion, verdad? (smirking, giggling)
Gav: Marcela, yo creo que lo atravesada que soy, los años no han podido conmigo! Imposible que no fuera a pelear con ella con una situacion de estas, pues! (to Salinas, who already has a concerned face) Mire, Doctor! Yo no quiero que Usted vaya a correr con esta responsabilidad! Usted no le va a dar el pecho a eso, porque si esta situacion llega mas lejos, como seguro va a llegar, pues yo la voy a asumir como lo que es. Cierto? Como que es una situacion personal. Ahora, si lo que ellos quieren es que yo renuncie, pues yo renuncio! Pero no me gustaria darles ese gusto. Eso si!
Mauro: Esperemos que no le crean a Lucrecia.

sorry for not having posted any more cafe dialogues. I actually have ready three more
by
episodes worth... they are here sitting in my desk... but last three weeks I had my child in hospital with meningitis, and we didn't have any time or energy for anything that was not directly related to her or our other children. Thank God she is much better and we are slowly getting back to our routines... I promise I will do my best to post these three episodes worth next week.

Guy will be appearing on a TV show named "Las Vegas" which will air on NBC on October 6 at 9 p.m. Eastern. He plays a detective by the name of Luis Perez.
It's only one episode for now, but there's a chance his character may go on in other episodes. Guy has asked all his fans to watch and maybe even write in to NBC after they see the show. The executives will be looking for a reaction from the Latin audience.
Don't forget to tune in and ... best of luck to Guy!
