Jesus is in the doorway to his apartment and demands to know what MariFer is telling Chabelita. Chachita senses trouble and takes Chabelita to her apartment. Jesus is upset with MF and wants to know how she could have told Chabelita that she is her mother. And MF says because she is her mother.
Upstairs Chabelita is bien contenta to have found out that MF is her mother.
And downstairs the truth finally dawns on Jesus. MF tells him how she lost Chaelita and about her pain, the search, and finally finding Chabelita. And it's a miracle that Chabelita found him. But Jesus's only question is: "Who's the father?" He wants to know who she loved before him.
Back at MF house Ulisis is demanding to talk to MF but is told that she isn't home. He and Tia Bernarda are in the living room and all she does is badmouth Jesus. But Ulisis defends him! He says that even though he's poor he works hard and loves Chabelita. Bernanda says that he (Ulisis)is the only man for MF.
Jesus looks hurt and MF says that HE is Chabelita's father. He begs her not to take Chabelita away from him because she is his reason for living. MF says the only thing she wants is for them to be a family.
The licensiado is in his bedroom with his wife and he tells her that MF is Chabelita's mother and if the proof that MF gave him is real he will have to give her custody. His wife only wants to tell Guillermo what kind of woman MF is.
Back in J's apartment he and MF are holding hands and she is in tears. She pleads with him and tells him that she loves him. He says no you only want Chabelita. She begs him to believe her but he says that she doesn't love him. Jesus says that he can't give her anything and she says thats stupid. He asks her not to take what little pride he has left and asks her to leave. She leaves in tears.
Ulisis is back at his home with his father and he doesn't know what kind of woman MF is, only that she is a liar.
Jesus is tucking Chaabelita in and he explains that she was taken from her mom when she was a baby because there are bad people in the world.
The next day Nana tells MF that Ulisis knows the truth, his daughter is still alive. MF says that she will never let him have Chabelita because she is hers, only hers.
Ulisis on the other hand is vowing to do just the same thing: find his daugher and take her away from the lying MF.
That night MF is thinking about Chabelita.
Ricardo and Lucrecia are in there bedroom and as usual she is screaming at him how much she hates MF. Then she declares the only was she will be happy is if MF was dead.
The next morning Chabelita is telling Jesus about her beautiful dream. It was of his and MF wedding. Then she tells him how happy she is.
Over breakfast Jesus asks Chabelita who he loves more: him or MF.
