Hey man, I got some heavy things to tell you about
by
Warren heard his name and his skin felt like a slick lizard's back just seconds before the little gilla ducked under a rock to cool down. The ice in his glass had turned to piss warm water, and there was no time to duck his head into the bathroom sink and douse himself. Even the sides of his eye sockets burned. Maybe that was the smoke from his lucky strike filtered cigarette stemming into his eyes. How long had he been out? Shit! Warren heard his name again. In his hand was a half crumpled plan of attack. His nails made the paper shift and clatter as if it was a hundred times larger, and a thousand times louder.
No time to slow his heart beat down, Blayze skittered into the room and stepped onto the podium. So thirsty, Warren gripped the pitcher with both hands and downed the water draining it into his gullet with deep lurches and suction noises. Then shaking the pitcher back down so that it wobbled on it's base, Warren staggered to the the microphone and breathed into it for twenty seconds. He ran his hand over his thin hair and adjusted his bloodshot eyes. Cameras caught the moment of awkwardness flashing wildly as the deputy of authority mumbled.
Then Warren fished out the crumpled paper and set it on the desk.
" Uhh, yeah good evening. I'm here to address the current Intercontinental title situation in the CCW. Here's the deal. There isn't a current title situation. Yeah we got this guy Seraphain. But, he hasn't defended the title since he won the thing, and has decided to just disappear from the face of the planet. Thing is we don't know what happened to the guy and we don't what happened to the old title. He fucked us, plain and simple. OH sorry, I mean he's suspended and no longer the title holder. Chris already told you that didn't he? Ok, well here's the new deal.
The Intercontinental Championship has no champion and no contender. Currently there is a battle for the CCW championship contendership, that right? Yeah, ok.. Anyway, we have eight wrestlers vieing for a shot at Devilz Child's title. Point is that the gauntlet has vast potential. Not everyone can win, so why not give those who come close a shot at something? I say yeah! Oh, sorry, I mean the one who the number one contender defeats gets a title shot against the current Deathcage champion.
What does this have to do with the IC title? Well the Deathcage and IC title are going to formed into a new title in a reunification match. That means the winner of the Deathcage title match and the runner up in the Gauntlet for the Gold match will face each other at a later date for the new unified title which will be revealed in the same night.
So that guarantees us a new title and a match for it. Now, no stipulations have been discussed yet, but with the prestige of the two belts on the line as well the match will be worthy of the new title. As soon as we know who is facing who the announcement date for the match and more details will be presented.
Alright, now I gotta go take a piss."
Warren Blayze turned from the podium and made a direct line for the men's room leaving Chris Wilson to field any further questions left by this stunning development.
