I remember when my step mother died. She had a JW funeral, and of course I hadn't been in a KH for years even then. Someone who wasn't a JW came up to me and my sister in the bathroom to ask us what a JW funeral was like.. she had never been to one and was a little nervous. Without thinking I responded that it's sort of like an infomercial.
For some reason that just slayed us. My sister and I couldn't leave the bathroom for a while because we were laughing SO HARD.
Sometimes you just need the relief of a good laugh in those kinds of situations. Lots of times people don't understand, but then again, who are they to judge?? I'm glad you found a little hilarity in what sounds like an extremely sad and hard situation.
