Call a lawyer. I've been on the receiving end of a few of these, a couple were warranted, a couple were BS; although it doesn't make much difference. This is hell on employers. If he's smart he'll give you and said lawyer about $10K to leave him alone. If he's not smart (sounds like it from what you've said) you could clean his clock.
I'm not ususally vindictive, but guys like this give honest business people a bad name.
