| I would have answered ....
If the job payed more than unemployment and .... more importantly .... gave you health benefits or would provide health benefits in the future .... I would have stayed.
If he/they in fact cut the pay of all the current employees .... you just got caught in the middle of that ....
Even if I wanted to leave, I would have worked there until I found a new job .....
