Fran says in one of her books that she's a huge fan of Lucy. In Fifth Wheel I can just see Lucy when Fran starts eating her spaghetti, can't find a place to bite or cut it, and just keeps slurping it. IMO the entire ep is a takeoff on Lucy. But one of my least favs.
I watched the wedding last nite. Both Fran and Max watch Lucy just before turning in the nite before. You hear just a few seconds of Lucy's theme song, but there's no mistaking it (esp for those of us who watched Lucy faithfully during her initial airing).
